No, we'd have signed a proven goalscorer in this league and somebody who our younger players could learn a lot from.
-
He's gone to WHU on loan for the season. I'd have much rather had him & Carroll on loan for a year than the players we've signed.
-
The english marian pahars. :-)

He lives not far from me. The word here was that he favoured a move to a club nearer home. Stoke & Everton being the two mentioned. However, he said that if a move to either wasn't possible then he'd consider his options elsewhere. He said he'd sign for somebody this week and times running out. I could see it happening.

The last ITK i had was Sharp signing for Forest. I reported it at 6.54 after getting a text from Jamie Scowcroft. Posted on here as soon as I heard and then somebody claimed he broke the news about 2 hours later. Mug.

Paul gilmour tells me no more signings expected.

The only name that was mentioned that I got excited about was Benayoun but I don't see that happening. What's happened with Dann and Davies? Earlier in the week we were linked with both CB's. I'd have liked to have seen at least one of them. Not sure about Yoshida at all. -
Said on Facebook a couple of hours ago that the only way I'd change my mind about sharp leaving was if we signed Owen. Good experience at Prem level and a great player to have around the younger members of the squad.
-
Is the OP taking the ****? I genuinely don't think we have a squad capable of staying in the Prem. Our defence is **** poor and should've been the area we concentrated on. I'm not struck with any of our signings.

Here we go again. The *****es are at it once more. Now, where's the block option? -

Ha, WUM. coming from you! You're the sole reason why a good mate of mine cancelled his subscription to this forum. To be honest, I don't blame him. Why should somebody have to put up with threatening and abusive messages just for voicing an opinion that isn't the same as yours? -

I've just had a text to say that he's definitely gone. Same text said that Bothroyd has gone to Sheffield Weds. -

**** me, you're easily impressed. That doesn't impress me at all! -
If that's it then I'm very worried. £12M on one (supposedly) decent player does not make a team. I just hope that the gamble on the likes of Yoshida, Mayuka, Clyne & Davies pays off as I'm not struck with any of them.

Burnley had our pants down with J-rod. £7m for that is laughable! -

Let him go and get Michael Owen in. -
Cody Cropper - Signs 2 year Deal
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to Saint Charlie's topic in The Saints
Cody Crapper. Whoop! Lots of whooping and high fives on the training ground. We really need more players with names like Cody. Todd, Brad, Chip, Buck & Brad should all be top of the shopping list. -
He's hardly been given the opportunity at Liverpool. Let's be honest, his form at Newcastle was what alerted Liverpool to him. It's not his fault that Kenny Dalglish tried to change him as a player as opposed to playing to his strengths. Allardyce knows what he's all about so let's see what he does at WHU. Personally I think it's a great bit of business for WHU. In my opinion a better option than Sharp or J-Rod.
-
Oh please! He's got more about him than Crouch and I bet you loved him. He's a good player, just not a £35 million pound player, and that wasn't his fault! If you've got good supporting players (which we have) he'll do a great job.

Lawrenson's Premier Predictions this weekend
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to yellow&blue's topic in The Saints
Lawrenson is a ****. He does nothing but talk **** and the BBC should be ashamed of themselves for allowing such an idiot to be part of their flagship football show. Let's not forget, he hasn't played for about 25 years. The game's changed a hell of a lot in that time. -
Exactly. We've signed nothing but championship standard players. We sign J-Rod. WHU get Carroll. I know who I'd rather have had. That's a real statement of intent from West Ham and exactly the sort of thing Saints should be looking to do if they're serious about staying up.
-
Because we are building a team for the Championship. Nige knows he's not good enough for the Premiership but figured that he'd get him early so that he's familiar with his team mates who are also only fit for life in the Championship.
-
This is laughable. Why are we signing more 'inexperienced' players in positions where we have plenty of options? I hope he proves me wrong but he hardly has the sort of experience that we need in the Premier league. I'm also getting increasingly concerned at how NA intends on keeping everybody happy. Oh, and how about we sign some ****ing defenders who can hack it at this level. PLEASE!
