Brentford 3-0 Saints - Match Thread
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to AlexLaw76's topic in The Saints
I remember being told to "Fuck off back to Luton you negative prick". I hated him as Luton manager and I hate him even more as Saints boss. Jones is nothing but an egomaniac. Hopefully the doubters amongst you can now see what I was saying? -

You've just won the internet with that name for Jones. 😂 -

Hate to say it but I did try and warn you that he was utterly clueless and a shite manager! -

Can't wait to see how the new signings do.... Oh. At least he can introduce them in the 80th minute when we're 2 nil down. -
His stats are poor. Seems like a lot of money when we could just get Tella back. He seems to be in good form. He's played at this level before, would settle straight in and save us millions. This lad will arrive and take weeks to adjust to the English game.
-
I was referring to the week he first joined the players. Apologies for not making that more obvious.
-
I have to laugh. All the people saying Lyanco was MOTM. Last week they were calling him a prick and saying that he should never wear the shirt again.
-
He's had a fall out with NJ. The week NJ joined KWP was heard walking off the training ground saying "WTF is this guy all about?".
-
With it looking like there's 2 or 3 new signings on the cards, how do people see us lining up?
-
Anytime. Living where I do, most people are Luton Town supporters. There's also a lot of Watford, Arsenal and Spurs fans as it's only a short trip down the M1. I guess when you've not got any friends you can't get your head around the fact that some of us might actually have friends and family who support other teams.
-
The players can't stand him. That's a fact.
-
As I've posted elsewhere, I watch Luton Town fairly regularly and the one thing I can tell you about Jones is that he has no tactics. He's just a badge kissing, chest thumping, piss-poor manager. He's all about himself. When things go well, he'll claim all the praise. When things go wrong he'll point the finger at everyone but himself. I saw Luton get demolished 4-0 by Watford earlier this season. If ever a performance summed up why a club should never consider Jones as a candidate it was the derby gave. Absolutely abysmal. The man is a dick!
-
I did try and warn you that NJ is a complete wanker. He's only interested in himself. As soon as things don't go his way he starts to distance himself. There's a conversation to be had tomorrow morning... Nathan, Step into my office. NJ: Why? Because you're fucking fired.

I go to Luton quite a bit as they're my hometown team. I'll gladly introduce you at least 10-15 people who will give you an honest opinion of Jones, the only issue is that they're likely to want to slap you in the face for being such a presumptuous prick.

I have to laugh. I made my feelings about Jones known on here when he was appointed and was told to 'Fuck off and support Luton'. Nice to see that people are already coming round to the fact that the bloke is a tosser and completely out of his depth. He's an egomaniac who hasn't got a clue, tactically. Nathan Jones is interested in one thing... Himself. To quote one of my mates who I go to the odd Luton game with... "So far, Rob Edwards is certainly playing a better style of football, which isn't difficult as Jones didn't have any style. Obviously it’s very early days but signs are positive. No ridiculous badge kissing / chest thumping or shouting “fucking come on” after every game, which is refreshing after that ego maniac, Jones. Jones shouldn't have been allowed to return after he went to Stoke. The vast majority of fans didn't want him back and even making the play offs didn't change people's opinions of him. What makes me laugh is that someone at saints is supposed to have done their homework and I've no idea what they saw that made them think he was a Premiership manager? If he's so great then why were other Championship clubs not beating down the door for his signature at the end of last season? I genuinely feel sorry all Saints fans having to endure that prick."

The players think Nathan Jones is a complete knob. Fact! -
He's not! Don't be fooled by him.

I said he was shit when he was appointed and was slated for not getting behind the team. I've seen a lot of Luton. Enough to tell me that all he had there was fighting spirit, which isn't enough at this level. His tactics were non-existent. How somebody at Southampton thought that he was a suitable replacement for Ralph is unbelievable. They clearly never watched a single game that he managed. I can only assume they looked at the results on a piece of paper and said "he's done ok on a limited budget. He's got a bit of fight in him. Get him in". His chest thumping and shouting might work in the Championship but it's not for the Premiership. I despise the bloke. Have done since his first tenure at Luton. He's a Charlatan. Most of my Luton supporting Mates didn't want him back after he was sacked by Stoke and every one of them thinks he'll take Saints down. Nathan Jones is all about one thing... Himself. I know for a fact that our players think he's an idiot. One of our loan players, who shall remain nameless, was heard saying to another player after Jones' first training session "What the fuck is this guy all about?" I can't bear to see this wanker ruining the team.

Just sack him now. I won't watch another game while he's in charge. It was a bullshit appointment and I'm not wasting any more money on this circus of a club. No bedwetting. I'm just a realist who has better ways of spending my hard earned cash. Ta ta. -

NJ was a joke of an appointment. Already were seeing exactly what I expected. A manger out of his depth. He's had no impact at all and looks more clueless than Ralph. -
Nathan Jones - What to expect
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to Fraser Spinney's topic in The Saints
I regularly watch Luton Town. I can tell you what to expect from Jones... Other than a lot of chest thumping, don't expect anything. -
Just had this message from a Luton supporting mate.... "What's your thoughts on Nathan Jones mate? Can't imagine very positive. I find it staggering with the whole world options open to PL teams you have decided he is the best option. All he has achieved is getting Luton up from league 2 (second to Accrington) and keeping us up against the odds during Covid. A reasonable achievement but nothing exceptional. The football is incredibly hard to watch and it's always about him. Don't buy into this whole "I've a bunch of lads who would die for me" nonsense. He's only interested in his own personal gains. Personally pleased to see him go as can't stand the bloke on any level. Many others feel the same way. The way he departed for Stoke has left a bitter taste and most didn't want him back. Even reaching the play offs last season isn't enough to change people's minds." Looks like you might get your South coast derby back. 😉 See you at Kenilworth Road next season.
