  1. I've just paid my £5 subscription and based on this **** I'm thinking about asking for a refund. Have we really got nothing better to do than make up songs that sound like they were written by a 12 year old in the school playground?
  2. When are you going to grow up you tiresome fool? I've know. Cestrian Saint since he was a kid. Went to Sweden with him for the preseason tour in '04 & the JPT final where we were sat in the row in front of fellow TSF member John Boy Saint. Yes, he's an eternal pessimist but so are others on this forum so why don't you give the lad a break and take your bully boy attitude back to the playground.
  3. I actually think that Koeman is simply trying to put a positive spin on things. He knows how frustrated the fans are and also knows that the club won't say anything about incoming players. All he's trying to do is keep spirits up. Should he say that there's 2 or 3 players coming in at the weekend when it's not 100%? No, probably not but at least he's staying positive. It would be far more worrying if he was saying 'we're trying to get players in but none of them want to come here'.
  4. I was told exactly the same thing and that the players we're currently looking at are not our number one choices. We've failed with nearly every one of our inital targets and have had to re assess the situation.
  5. Just been told by an everton supporting friend that Rodwell is going back there on a season long loan.
  6. Bit gutted I didn't put money on it. I was only saying to a friend on friday that I wonder what odds you could get on Rickie missing his first pen for Scousehampton.
  7. There's definitely something being worked on. I was told there may be an announcement tonight but I think it's a bit too late now. My source won't reveal names this time. I did wonder if we were after Jenkinson on loan as WHU have just announced his arrival.
  8. I'm told it's because we have several young players who Koeman believes aren't quite ready to make the step up. The loans are with an option to buy. It kind of makes sense. You get a player who can do a job in the short term. If the youth player doesn't make the grade then you sign up the loan Ayer on a permanent deal. If your youth option comes good then you can send the loan player back. I guess this is the train of thought with Bertrand & Targett?
  9. I was told pretty much the same thing. There may be an announcement later today as the club are currently locked in negotiations and are trying to get a couple of deals sealed. No names, sorry. Also been told to expect more loans.
  10. Couldn't agree more. Back in 2004 on the pre-season tour in Sweden he was one of the only players to come and chat to fans and sign stuff. Top bloke when I met him.
  11. Apparently we're getting Saphir Taider on loan as part of the Osvaldo deal.
  12. Just put a call into my source. They will both be allowed to leave. There's an offer for both if them to Spurs and there's also an offer from Liverpool for J-Rod.
  13. Liverpool are in for Jay Rod following the collapse of their deal for Remy.
  14. Liverpool have bid for Jay Rod following the Remy deal collapsing.
  15. Sorry, poor choice of wording. I have to be careful how much I say. What I will add is that the general vibe is that Les Reed is at the centre of everything and seems to be a bit of a headless chicken on a ego trip.
  16. I'm reliably informed that Koeman is not happy and has made his feelings known to the board. He was given assurances when he took the job and the board have already failed to stick to their side of the deal. Before you all start slating me, this information came directly from someone who works for the holding company and is a business associate of my father. He said, 'even I don't know what is going on, there's a split in the boardroom with one or two people making all the decisions. Take it from me, it's not a good place to be at the moment.' Now I've said far too much already, I've supported Saints all my life and I believe our fans have the right to know what is going on. We've been treated like idiots before and it should never happen again. Sadly it is and anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool. Can I just remind people what Ralph Krueger said when he arrived: “I am honoured to take on the role of Chairman of Southampton Football Club and the group. “I have had the opportunity to meet with a large percentage of the staff at Southampton and it is clear there is a positive soul throughout the Club, both at St Mary’s and the training ground. “We will build on that soul by creating platforms of open communication both inside with the staff and outside with our fan base. “Although there is a solid foundation in place, the Club still has tremendous untapped commercial potential. We will continue to nurture “The Southampton Way” by reaching for consistent growth in all departments to ultimately build a culture that allows Southampton to remain healthy and sustainable in the future.” Lies, lies and more lies. Enough is enough.
  17. I think they've already shown enough to prove that they're not to be trusted. They lied when they said we'd had no offers for players. Interestingly our odds for relegation have dropped from 100/1 to 11/2 in the last 2 weeks.
  18. Exactly what I said after the Swindon game. If we go to Liverpool with this set up we'll get ****ted.
  19. I told you last week that he was definitely going to Liverpool. He had talks Tues / Weds. We wanted Martin Kelly as part of the deal but he didn't want to come. To be fair, why would he??? My source also told me that Morgan is definitely going. Expect an announcement next week.
  20. I'll bet you a cheese sandwich that nothing happens today.
  21. Been told we bid £4m. That is laughable. No wonder we're struggling to bring in players if we're making utterly ridiculous offers like that.
  22. Hypochondriac - maybe a bit strong but just being honest and realistic. What I've said is pretty much the same as what Ronnie Radford's Boots says a few posts before. Sour Mash - I'm well aware that it was a pre season friendly. My point is that we need some signings and pretty soon. What's the point in playing a bunch of players who aren't going to be in your starting 11 come August? We should be getting players in early so that they have time to gel. What we currently have is great for the future but not good enough now. We need strength & experience. A goalkeeper. 2 CB's. Possibly a central midfield player & definitely someone who can finish. Our finishing in all 3 friendliest has been **** poor.
  23. I thought we looked poor against Swindon. Pelle looked nothing special at all. Lousy first touch on far too many occasions and lacks power and strength compared to Lambert. Cork put in a solid performance, it'll be a tradgedy if he's not offered a new contract. Chambers and Clyne looked like our best players. Mayuka and Sharp not good enough and I'm not sure about McQueen, Isgrove, Targett or Gallagher. All would benefit from a season long loan in a lower league. Maybe in a year or two but none of them look ready for life in the Premiership just yet. The youngster who impressed me most was Reed. Again, it's probably a bit too soon but I expect him to become something very special. We need to sign some experience, particularly up front... and a goalkeeper. Not convinced by the 4-3-3 formation & style that Koeman seems to like. It might look good going forward but a decent premiership side will rip us to shreds as we look far too lightweight in the middle. Take a team like that to Liverpool on the opening day and we'll get a right ****ing hiding.
  24. Yes, but Chambers is going to Arsenal and Clyne will play at LB next season. ;-)
  25. My source tells me that Lovren will hold talks with Liverpool on Tuesday / Wednesday. Two options, upfront fee + add ons or cash plus a player (Martin Kelly). Morgan is not happy and will be gone by the time the season starts. Koeman & the board really struggling to get transfers nailed down. Two targets have gone to rival clubs, (I'll get names. Think one is Janmaat), says that we were miles off with wages & that there's a general feeling we're a risky option. One agent said that players want to see a statement of intent and all he sees is a club that's still selling its best players and not bringing in the sort of players that will enable us to compete. General vibe is that we're stuck in a vicious circle. The more we sell the harder it is to attract. Definitely after a foreign striker but won't happen until Osvaldo situation is resolved. He's causing real problems behind the scenes.
