  1. Billy sharp did a great job for us but you can't compare Billy Sharp from three seasons ago to Billy Sharp now. Different team, different time.
  2. Absolutely spot on. I've been saying for a while that Davis and Long should be starting with only on or two of Mane, Djuricic, Elia. The balance is all wrong when we try and play 3 of those creative types. That type of player is too inconsistent and playing 3 of them is too much. Davis is a great link-up player and should be starting every game. A far better option that JWP!
  3. Been saying that for ages. Any player you've forked out £12m for shouldn't be sat on the bench every week, particularly when you've got a very out of form striker in the team. Just need RK to stick Steven Davis back in the middle and we'll be fine.
  4. Just seen the team line up and I'm very disappointed. Mane, Elia and Djuricic??? We need Davis and Long in there. Players who work hard and aren't afraid to get stuck in. Sorry, Ronald I can't help but feel that you've got it completely wrong, again.
  5. - - - - - - FF - - - - - - NC - - JF - - TA - - RB - - - MS - - - VW - - - - - - - - - SD - - - - - - - - SL - - - - - - XX - - - - - - - - GP - - - - - - Assuming TA is fit, if not then MY. XX being any one from EE, DT, SM, FD If GP is to be dropped then I'd push SL up front and bring in SM/EE/FD.
  6. Bloody hell. There's a first. I've actually suggested something that one or two people agree with. lol
  7. The answer is to stop playing the likes of Elia, Mane & Tadic together. Players like that rarely do it week in, week out. They tend to have 1 good game in 5 or 6 outings. I'd go with Long, Davis and 1 from, Mane, Tadic or Elia behind Pelle. Long and Davis may not have the flair that Mane, Elia and Tadic do but they give 100% every time they play and both have a decent shot on them.
  8. Totally agree. Koeman failed to land a striker when it was blatantly obvious that we really needed other options in that position. What concerns me is that he went out and got 2 more average midfielders that really weren't needed. We've now got 3 or 4 of these players who on their day are superb but they only have their day about 1 in every 10 games. You can just about afford to carry one player like that but we seem to want to play 3 of them every week. We need Shane Long back in the team as his work rate is superb and we need Steven Davis playing a more advanced role in the middle. Then play any 1 from, Elia, Mane, Djuricic or Tadic. As soon as I saw 3-4-3 I said he'd got it wrong. He quickly realised but it was too little too late. I'd have started Long up front. The possibility of scoring against an old club is always a huge incentive. He's a striker, we paid £12m for him, so why is he sat on the bench when Pelle is having such a nightmare?
  9. That was the night they locked us in the pub and told us that we couldn't go outside because there were thousands of Baggies fans looking to have it with us. A few of us found a way up on to the roof at the back of the pub and could see the road outside where there were no Baggies looking for trouble. We came to the conclusion that they just wanted to keep us in the pub buying beer. Great night ruined by Prutton blazing the ball over the bar from 6 yards out.
  10. I'd play Davis instead of Djuricic. Totally agree about playing Long instead of Pelle. The added incentive of getting one over one of your old teams always helps.
  11. As I said in January, our failure to sign a striker in January would cost us. Pelle looks exactly how I imagined he would. For a time I thought I was going to be proved wrong but sadly not. It's time to drop him and try Shane Long up front.
  12. JWP should never have started. Midfield 3 should've been Morgan, Vic and Davis. Given Pelle's current form I'd be tempted to drop him and give Long a run up front.
  13. Totally agree. We've looked worse since he came back. I don't understand why he seems to be one of the first names on the team sheet every week.
  14. Totally agree. Still surprised that we let him go without a replacement lined up. Koeman himself said that Cork was going to Swansea so we'd need another midfielder.
  15. Well if Cork went for £1.5m then I'd expect Morgan's value to be about the £2m mark. ;-)
  16. Very underrated. Sorry to see him go. Still don't understand why the club wouldn't do more to keep a good, young British player when Morgan is off in the summer. Don't understand why he'd go to Swansea when he'd have got more games next season and European football.
  17. I'm actually more disappointed about this than I was when Lallana, Shaw, Lovren, Chambers & Lambert all jumped ship. Ahh well. The lure of a **** town in South Wales was obviously far greater than playing European Football next season.
  18. I've got a bad feeling about this one so I'm having a tenner on Swansea at 5/1 to soften the blow. :-/
  19. Shame. He's been a decent player for us and his departure couldn't really come at a worse time. Given all of the injuries this is going to leave us very light in the middle over the coming weeks.
  20. We definitely wore the yellow at Luton Town, I remember being at that game. We wore it with white shorts and black socks. It looked a right mess. I think we also used it at Spurs and QPR that season.
  21. Nice item but that will go for far more than I could ever afford.
  22. Yes. Advantage: Your product reaches a wider audience. Disadvantages: Pallets have to be a certain size or they're rejected upon arrival. Each item has to be individually wrapped in clear cling film and a 'Amazon' bar code placed over the original bar code on the product. Items that don't sell within a certain time frame incur storage charges. Constantly have to reduce prices as more people start to sell the same item and undercut your price. Quite a few returns as people seem to think that ordering Amazon is some kind of trial service. Shall I continue?
  23. A valid point but how about if they did it on a pre-order basis. That way they'd know exactly how many of each size would be required. I'm desperate to get one. I've got every shirt since '76 with the exception of the these three 3rd kits from the 80's that were never made available to the public.
  24. Ok, so who's the best person to contact at the club with a list of names who want the shirt? Let's see if they'll bow to fan pressure.
  25. I'd buy one. The club are missing out on this. Where's the business sense in not making it available? A limited run of 500 would give a return of £25k and we all know how much profit there is in football shirts.
