  1. I heard that last night but assumed it was someone just taking the ****.
  2. Personally I think we can forget about Toby. So the question is. Who should we get to replace him & Morgan? Very tough acts to follow.
  3. £10m rising to £12.5. He's signing tomorrow.
  4. We'll end up with a couple more Dutch players as replacements for Morgan & Toby, neither of whom will be nearly as good. :-/
  5. Is he really bettering himself? I don't think Lallana, Lovren & Lambert bettered themselves by moving to Liverpool. I can understand Lambert going there as it was a boyhood dream and he was past his best but the other two have seen their careers stall by going to Liverpool. Sky did a feature on how Liverpool will line up next season & there was no place in the starting 11 for any of the 3 Saints players who joined last season. It's a classic example of big fish in a small pond or small fish in a big pond. The grass isn't always greener on the other side.
  6. Did anyone else see Sky's feature on how Liverpool are most likely to line-up next season? There was no place for Lovren, Lambert of Lallana in the starting 11. This alone should be a warning to the likes of Clyne that the grass isn't always greener on the other side.
  7. Spot on. He did nothing at Hull to suggest that he wanted to make a go of things there or at any other potential club.
  8. We're the club that said, 'Our ambition is to have a team of homegrown English players playing European football'. That vision seems a million miles away now.
  9. A Liverpool supporting friend claims that we're looking at taking Lambert back as part of the Clyne deal. Has anybody else heard this or is it just a load of speculative bull****? Personally I wouldn't mind him coming back as I think he could still do a job for us, particularly as we're going to need some depth to the squad with the additional European fixtures next season.
  10. Greedy *****. You'd have thought that seeing 3 team mates go there and do nothing to enhance their careers would be enough to make him think twice. Oh no. Not these days.
  11. I'm going for Leicester away. There's a rumour that Man City will play Chelsea on the opening day & Man U have got Bournemouth.
  12. Same here. Wanted us to have a green away kit for years and now we've got one so I'm happy.
  13. Love it. Best away kit since 1984.
  14. Thank god for that. I'd have been gutted if we'd paid £5m for him.
  15. Just get Rickie back on a free. Ideal squad player if we're playing in Europe.
  16. I spent the day with Sony, yesterday. They've something that's due to launch in July. I have to say, I was very impressed. Effectively it's a pair of sports headphones with 16Gb of storage and it syncs to your phone. It measures heart rate etc. just like all these products do but has plenty of programmes to choose from and a few nice touches like the ability to automatically select and pace the music to the speed of your workout. http://smartsports.sony.net/b-trainer/event.html#
  17. Imagine if we'd gone for something like that as our away shirt. Light green & black would be nice. I'd much rather we did green & black than green & navy blue.
  18. Yep. Not too sure about Green & Navy but I'm not going to complain as I've been saying we should have a green away shirt for years and now we're getting one :-).
  19. It's ok. Not sure about the collar or the Adidas badge in the middle of the shirt but they're minor things. I certainly prefer it to any of the previous 3 home shirts. I'm actually looking forward to the away shirt more than this.
  20. This is great news. Let's just hope he's able to find the same form he showed before his injury and that he's not going to be repeatedly affected in the future.
  21. I find it a complete joke that clubs are trying to avoid qualifying for the Europa league. I know teams who have been in it haven't had particularly good domestic seasons but it's good experience if you want to be breaking into the Champions League. Isn't there even a place in the Champions League for the winner of the Europa League?
  22. That's us finishing 8th then. I questioned why Jack Cork would move to a club like Swansea and now it looks like they're going to finish above us. This is just another event that will take the shine off this season. I still think letting Cork go is the biggest mistake Koeman's made. We'll really miss him next season.
  23. I've got a horrible feeling that we'll lose the next 2 games and Swansea will finish above us. That will really take the shine off this season.
  24. I've been saying we should have a green away kit for years. Please let this be real.
