  1. Always like to see us in stripes. If we had to go for something a bit different then I'd like to see us adopt a half and half shirt, like Feyenoord. Not many clubs have this design. Off the top of my head, I can only think of Blackburn. Oh, and Watford, this season. A few clubs have done this design as an away shirt, but I think it would be a cool alternative to the stripes that make us look like Stoke, Sunderland and Brentford. Maybe something like this.
  2. Sunday's game probably took a lot out of the players but they didn't seem to show it judging by the first half performance. Just a shame that there were so many missed opportunities. It could have all been over by half time. Sometimes that's the way it goes.
  3. We should stick to stripes. I understood the sash kit for the 125th anniversary, but would have preferred it to have been our away kit. Our home kit should always be red and white stripes. Why do we do we allow pointless designs like this? A red shirt with a white sash is not a Saints shirt. Could you imagine the reaction if Celtic ditched the hoops in favour of a green shirt with a white sash?
  4. Does anybody have one of this seasons training shirts for sale L or XL? I contacted the club shop in January and they said they never received many and wouldn't be getting any more, which seemed odd.
  5. These are superb. You know that what we'll end up with will look like dog sh1t compared to these beauties.
  6. Didn't expect that. Thought it was a well executed performance. Why can't we play like that at home? Some consistency would be nice. I'm tired of seeing us do that one week and then play like we did against Arsenal the next. Imagine if we got 9 or 12 points from out last 6 games. That's would a superb finish to the season. Hard to believe that this is the same team that got dicked 9-0 at home by Leicester. Fair play to Ralph for turning things around. I think we all thought we were dead and buried after that performance.
  7. Safe? Watch that 10 point gap disappear over the next couple of weeks. Bring back lockdown. At least we didn't have to endure this inconsistent crap every week. Our run in isn't as easy as people seem to think. I think we'll be lucky to get 4 points from our remaining games.
  8. Can't see them losing 3 on the bounce. We'll probably do our usual thing of looking half decent one week and utter shite the next.
  9. The 1922–23 "Even Season" was unique – 14 wins, 14 draws and 14 defeats for 42 points - An average of one point per game. Goals for and goals against were also equal, and the team finished in mid-table.
  10. I'm not trying to troll, wind anybody up or be negative towards the club. I'm just sick of this ****. We were rescued by Marcus and looked to be heading in the right direction so how the hell have we ended up back in this position again? We've built nothing and now the club is up for sale again. I'm just tired of watching gutless performances against average teams and looking at the fixtures and thinking, we'll get nothing today, next week or the week after.
  11. We'll end up selling to someone like Katie Hopkins or the ghost of Robert Maxwell.
  12. Where do people think our next points are coming from? Not only do we seem to be incapable of beating some very average teams, we can even scrape a draw. Face facts. We are ****ing ****. People seem to think that sitting 7 points above the drop will be enough. Anyone who thinks that after watching our performances against Burnley, WHU and Newcastle is insane. If we can't beat teams like that then who will we beat?
  13. Roy Keane. Absolute ****. Anybody see his outburst about Jordan Pickford and De Gea, yesterday? Sky presenter: "We can show you some statistics about Jordan, Roy". Keane: "I don't need to see your statistics, I know that he's not a good keeper". He then went on a rant about De Gea, saying "As a manager, or a player, you’d kill him. I swear, it’s crazy. You talk about people being too clever. It just takes too long, what is he waiting for? If you’re going to make a decision, at least make it quickly. These are huge moments for United in terms of trying to get top four. You’ve got your experienced goalkeeper, what is he waiting for? There’s almost a bit of arrogance to it, ‘look at me, give me time'. They almost think they’re outfield players. I would have lynched him at half time, I’d have no time for that carry on. I know keepers can make mistakes, but there’s no excuse for that."
  14. Me too, but when do Saints ever make anything easy for themselves? If there's a complicated way to stay up you can guarantee that we'll choose it.
  15. Not sure how you work that out? If we only win 2 in our next 6, which is entirely possible, we'll be on 40 pts with 4 games left. If Brighton win 4 in their next 6, they'd also on 40 points. There could easily be 3 or 4 teams on 40 pts going into the last 4 games. Therefore we could be in a position where we need to beat Brighton and Bournemouth to guarantee safety.
  16. My worry is that we don't look like we've got much fight in us. I can easily see us getting dragged back into a relegation battle. We seem to be incapable of beating average teams. A couple of WHU fans who I spoke to after the game yesterday said that we were the worst team they've seen at their place this season. As I've said before. I'd hate for us to go into the last 3 games needing to beat Brighton and Bournemouth. :-/
  17. You've just taken the words out of my mouth. You just knew we'd go there today and put in a ****e performance. This lot really **** me off. A colleague has just said to me, "It must be really disappointing being a Saints fan. You win a couple of games, look really well organised and solid and potentially pushing for a top half finish. Then you go and put in really crap, gutless performances against teams who are below you in the league and look more like a team who will just about stay up." Knowing Saints, we'll end up going into the last 3 games of the season needing wins in the Derbies against Brighton and Bournemouth, who will both be fighting for survival and will have a lot more fight than we seem to be able to muster. I remember saying last season, why can't we just get the job done early and make things easy for ourselves? We constantly seem to shoot ourselves in the foot and end up limping over the line.
  18. Redmond out for between 1 and 2 months. I've got a feeling we'll lose Ings at some point in the next few weeks and then we'll be right up **** street.
  19. I'll bet you a cheese sandwich that we don't win this game.
  20. Woke up with a bad feeling about today's game, then I saw the team and knew we were getting nothing. Our home form is shocking. Give it 3 weeks and we'll be right back in the ****.
  21. Exactly!
  22. I've been saying for weeks that we'd end up in a relegation battle and that we'll probably end up going into the derbies against Brighton and Bournemouth needing wins, which is far from ideal as we seem to lack fight when it comes to playing teams in a similar position to ourselves.
  23. All that's happened is we had an extra game that we could have done without and 2 players picked up injuries. Would have rather lost the first game 1-0 and not had this fixture. The players could have had a rest and we could focus on finishing as high up the league as possible. I'm still not convinced that we won't end up in a relegation scrap, having facing two of our south coast rivals in the last three games.
  24. 4-0 as predicted. I'm €210.80 better off tonight so I'm happy, despite the result.
