I think you'll find that the board have bought up all the dog shit and stuck saints badges on them in some poor attempt to try and convince fans that they're watching a Premiership team. 😉

Ralph's time was up 10 games before the end of last season. The club should have got rid and started a fresh with someone who could then rebuild through the summer. All we're looking at now is another season of chop and change and hope that we stay up. It's pretty shit being a saints fan.

Everton 3-1 Saints - Match Thread

McCarthy's name on the team sheet guarantees one thing. Saints will concede at least 2 goals. Face facts. Saints have done an excellent job of building a team fit for relegation. The defence was woeful last season and should have been the main focus throughout the summer. We've replaced our LB. Failed to strengthen at CB and bought a young RB who has somehow got a starting place over our best defender. That team selection was woeful. Ralph still doesn't know his best 11. He's fucking clueless and gutless. It's between him and Arteta for the first managerial casualty of the season. -

That's a dodgy starting 11 if I ever saw one. 4 players who would be amongst my first names on the team sheet all sat on the bench. 😕 -
Never mind all this squabbling. Has anyone got one that they want to sell?
-
Just tried to order one for the collection and saw that. Bit disappointed. Anyone got one they want to sell? 😉

A CB who can cover as a DM. It's going to be Phil Jones, isn't it?
-
Have we actually strengthened our squad or just bought in replacements who are of a lower quality? We leaked goals last season, so surely the defence was the priority? Perraud replaces Bertrand. Upgrade or downgrade? Only time will tell. We've got cover at RB which is good, but we need a CB and with Vestergaard seemingly on his way out, you could argue that we need 2 CB's. We also need cover at LB and a defensive midfielder. I genuinely hope that Armstrong and Broja do the business for us, but as things stand, I can't help but feel that we've only gone sideways. Personally, I still think we still need 3 players, unless we're going to find a CB who can play as a DM and a LB who can cover as a CB? In which case we might get away with 2.

Not seen much of him at all. Watched a few videos this afternoon and I can definitely see the similarity with Ings. That ability to take a man on, beat him and then bury it, often from a good distance.

Anyone looking for an original version of the new home shirt, Classic Football Shirts have 25% off all shirts until 11am on Saturday 07/08. www.classicfootballshirts.co.uk Use code CFS25 at the checkout.

Sorloth is absolutely shite. No Ings replacement in any shape or form! We'd be better signing Sloth from The Goonies.
-
Just read that Armstrong wants to go to Palace and that he's due to have a medical this weekend. Origi on loan seems to be a strong rumour on Merseyside.
-
Just Googled it. Seems to be Sky who are reporting it. I thought it was a mate just trying to wind me up. I'm not sure if it's a good or bad thing. I guess time will tell. Do we pay a lot for someone unproven at Premiership level or do we move on and sign someone else who will probably cost us less? Given our usual stance, I think we'll let him go elsewhere and then end up with someone really shit! 😄
-
A mate has just sent me a text to say that Armstrong is in advanced talks with Palace and he could be their player by tomorrow. Anyone else heard this or am i being wound up?
-
It'll be £10m up front and the rest based on him playing and scoring in a world cup final for England. 😂 I'd say we've already got a replacement lined up. Announcement on Friday. 😉
-
It's made well enough, it's just the badge and the sponsorship that seems and feels a bit cheap. I thought it looked great in the pictures, but it's just not quite as good in the flesh. Maybe I'm just being fussy? The home shirt definitely had a better fell to it IMO.
-
It's a great shirt but the quality isn't great. The home kit seems better somehow?
-
Anyone know when the away kit is being launched?
-
The Armstrong deal's not going to happen... Is It?

I run between 25 & 50 miles a week so I'm far from being a fat fucker! If I buy a medium from the club shop it fits. If i buy a fake medium, it doesn't and I have to go up a size. That's all I'm saying. Just trying to offer a bit of advice based upon experience. Regards. Sidney Fatfucker The 3rd.
-
You need to go a size or two up on what you'd normally order. Their shirts always seem to come up smaller than the originals.
-
We were lucky to get a full season out of him a couple of years ago. He won't complete another one of those and even if he does, he's not going to be first choice striker at a top club. Basically his life will be exactly like it was at Liverpool.
-
Can't see the pink or the orange being worn with the home shirt. We know the away shirt is yellow, so the pink will probably go with that. Guess that leaves the orange to go with whatever colour 3rd kit we end up with. Supposed to be black isn't it?

Romain Perraud - Official: Loan to Nice
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to TWar's topic in The Saints
I get it if he'd been born and bred in Southampton, but trying to make out that a Frenchman has any interest in P*mpey is just nonsense. He's probably never even heard of the place. -
