I'm not sure I agree with you I'm afaid. If I moved away from this area beacuse of work or to be nearer family etc, then I wouldn't attend as many home games and would have to give up my ST. That would be my personal choice to do that and as a result I wouldn't consdier myself as loyal a fan as someone who went to every game. I would still consider myself to be a Saints fan, always will, but the mere fact that I moved away would make me less loyal straight away. Depends how you define loyalty I suppose.

Saturday afternoons are purely about the beer for me, I'm not overly fussed about the football so I usually turn up about 15:10, and head back down to the concourse around 15:30. It would be much easier to stay in the pub, but I find it can be very difficult to post on this forum unless you actually go to the game. Therefore I renew my ST year in year out to prevent my self being bullied on here. Never again do I want to be confused with a "plastic fan".

Why don't they wait until May before doing this?

There's been some crap written on this thread, but this tops it.

Realistic Expectations for the rst of the season...
Junction 9 replied to Born In The 80s's topic in The Saints
That's the problem, if there were two I'd be more optimistic. -
Great result, expected a battering.

Photoshopped.

Still 17 games to after the Brum game so all to play for. We need to hit a good run of form sometime soon but I can't see it happening against the next two teams. A win against Cardiff is important as I can see us getting stuffed at St Andrews.

If you could go out with a player in the current squad, who would it be?
Junction 9 replied to kwsaint's topic in The Saints
After much deliberation I'll think I'd go for Aaron Martin. Couple of drinks in town, maybe a meal (He'd pay LOL!) and then off to a club for a bit of a dance. Who's knows where the evening would go after that, but I draw the line at any bumming. -
Pompey at home- something a bit special
Junction 9 replied to forever a red and white's topic in The Saints
Maybe just stick to the red and white cards then. -
I would happily wear a Pompey shirt if it meant a charity benefitted from it. I would then take that Pompey shirt off and continue with my life. No big deal.

It's going to be awesome!!!!!!

I liked the one about the police pulling him over and searching him. They found 5 grand in notes in his pocket, when they asked why he had such a large sum of money upon his person he simply replied, "because I'm rich".

I wonder how many skates will be arrested ....

What song is this thread actually about? -
I'm not totally against the fella as he can be a real asset for us. The main gripe for me today was why he wasn't subbed? I cant believe Adkins can stand there watching that performance and not think that ANYONE on the bench couldn't have done a better job. Cannot get my head round it.

Should we be worried about next two local away derbies
Junction 9 replied to corsacar saint's topic in The Saints
Try not to worry, that's my advice for what it's worth. -
It's got nothng to do with results, the odds change depending on how much money is wagered on certain teams.

It'll be close withoubt doubt, I don't see either side winning by a more than a goal. We clearly have the better players and sqaud, but never underestimate the Fratton factor. Whether you like it or not it IS an intimidating place to play football when the crowd is up for it and you can be sure they will be that day. That will either inspire our players or terrify them like on the 4-1 day, the looks on the faces of Claus etc that day said it all. I'm sure no player from either team needs to be told what it means in the area, you only have to have lived here for a few weeks to get the importance. What will be will be.

Maradonna against England in 86 for me.

I take it when you say "made it in the game of life", you mean the board game Dune? You are far from doing it in reality.
