  1. God bless you Markus,a truly sad day.
  2. Only logged on today, but I was there last night for my first and last visit to the Withdean. Thought there was an element of "after the lord mayors show" about the team and us fans. The "stadium" didnt help that feeling, what a strange place to watch football. I think Brighton have been one of the better teams we have played this season, they attacked us with pace and their passing was slick at times. Having said that,we came back well and really went at them when the substitutions were finally made.Lee's goal was a sweet moment. Mixed in with their fans after the game,in the bus queue and there was good friendly banter.Only downside was getting flashed by speed camera on the way home gggrrrrrr
  3. Im going to use the park and ride at mill road. You use your match ticket tear off bit as payment . Its right turn after the A27/A23 junction, just on the road into the town centre. I think theres a garage and spa shop near the roundabout and you head right. One thing, the buses back leave from a different place than the drop off point. I'm told that parking around the ground is a no go.
  4. Wonderful day,my son will never forget his 13th birthday, spent at Wembley watching our team score 4 goals.Magic! Always felt we were destined to win this trophy right from that comeback v Torquay. Nice to see Morgan and Wayne Thomas with the boys at the end. Also well done to Pardew in getting Simon Gillett and Chris Perry on the pitch. Only down point was the most pointless foul mouthed jerk sat behind us in Blk129 row 41.Even if I hadn't had my wife and kids with me it would have still wound me up.
  5. Got mine today,is it true that you need binoculars to see across the running track, sandpit etc. Wonder when their new ground will be ready? Havent done Brighton away since the old Goldstone Days....good times.
  6. Only recently seen a replay of Swindon's goal. Charlie Austin looked offside when he received the ball, yet at the game I didnt even consider it. Did anyone notice that on the night, did our players appeal?
  7. Block 129 row 38. Will leave it with dirty boot prints for the skates visit. Just like they did to my lovely white Northam BLK42 seat. grrrr
  8. I know, never thought I would see Swindon do the double over us either:mad:

Did they really? Didnt hear sod all from them all night. As for that free kick, looked unstoppable to me.
  10. I think that was our first 'double' of the season. Some of our opponents this season have upped their game against us,but Wallsall were truly shocking, especially that centre back. Those top 6 teams are just maintaining form and the gap from 7th to 8th is large at this stage of the season.
  11. I agree with so many of these posts. The pitch was awful, but we turned out in numbers expecting to see a gung ho performance on the back of a great win at Norwich and were badly let down. I wasted half a days leave from work and all I have to show for it is another new ground to tick off.Thats the risk you take being a fan. Thanks again to all the friendly fellow Saints who make these trips bearable, theres always someone who has a chat and some of the banter is great. In your own way you add to the occasion especially for my kids have only recently started the away journeys.
  12. Based on last night's pitch,I would say it was a very apt way to start a match! Bring back Sir Clive. (well for Exeter,Wycombe,Stockport,Bristol,Millwall and Brentford. All carp pitches as people said last night, fit for spuds and rugger.
  13. Sounds great, but I take it thats your assumption. Unfortunately our ticket office dont know what the split prices represent in a single block.I've phoned 3 times and had 3 different answers. 1. The prices decrease the further away from the halfway line you go! (What in a single block FFS) 2. The £24 is for wheelchair access tickets!! 3. I dont know and I am dreading Monday!!! For some,it might all seem trivial, but to a lot of us its important. The view or location you get could be a key thing. How much do you make a cheque out for, when you dont know what youre going to be buying.Sorry, but I'm getting wound up by the whole thing better chill a bit!
  14. Got my tickets ordered. I read somewhere that they are considering moving to a new ground, yet they cant have been at Adams Park that long. Hope the egg chasers havent ruined the pitch!
  15. I just find the whole thing confusing. I suppose the easiest way is phoning and talking to someone, but for me that would cost £12 for the privelige. Postal for me and put my trust in someone being bothered to find me my best choice. I phoned Wembley to get clarification on the 3 different prices in same block query and they told me to contact my club! I did this and no one at Saints really understands the price structure.A ticket office girl told me that we are advertising some blocks that we shouldnt be selling.SW corner is one of those,as there is confusion over the shade of green on the map!
  16. No ,let it go,we lost and should not be put in the quarters. Dubai Phil has a nice idea though.
  17. Well said that man,all the best Rickie, hope you see your 29th at Saints too!
  18. The match tickets were no great shock, but the £25 coach fare is. My friend at work emailed Dave Luker complaining about it and was told (straight away) that the cost was due to Wembley parking charges, stewarding and coach operator charges. When, like me,you have to pay for 4 of everything it gets very expensive. I shall be looking at driving up now....what time to leave?
  19. Cant get it out of my head that they can have so many loan players when they are skint and make no effort to field whatever young homegrown players they may have. Work will be carp tomorrow but Im still proud of the Saints.
  20. He scored 2 and we beat them 2-0. I was there, sat amongst manure fans and no I didn't control myself! I think I'm right in remembering it was the fixture after losing 2-0 at home to the skates. Youre right Tim,he was a good centre forward, did he only play for south coast teams? As for the final,40k Saints fans and we will be wearing red and white. I know we love the yellow in finals but we only won once in it.
  21. Ha Ha heard it all before. Millwall hate the skates, always have and always will. I think Wednesdays events will have a big say in the mood of the blue slime. Show them the way to Zamaretto!
  22. I went to that,I think we lost 2-1 and I was in a home end. I remember some joker kept saying "Holmes and Watson..elimentary ha ha." Went and cheered Danny there in an England U21 match. He gave me and my mates a thumbs up which incurred the wrath of the local mongs! I've been to 8 but can't make this one.
  23. Coming home from the game last night it was really bugging me that we drew 1-1 home and away with these teams having taken the lead in all 4 games. I really thought that come the return fixtures we would have sorted out how to deal with them. Never been to Brentford before and I enjoyed it,the old fashioned ground, rough pitch and reasonably friendly locals.Plus the usual good banter with fellow Saints. Frustrating though to think we could well be back there next season but maybe we will be better prepared and dominant.
  24. Early days, but Barnard did have a hint of Brett about him last night. Willing to run all night, working across the line, hassling defenders and then he missed that sitter. As I say early days but I bet he's kicking himself about that chance.Stick the next one away son.
  25. I would have like Papa to come on earlier last night as Antonio had run out of steam.
