Glad someone brought this up, it seems that the media and pundits alike think that the top four to five clubs in the premiership have the God given right to win everything, for example the Arsenal match on New Years day, all you heard was how Arsenal did not show up, yet nothing on how Saints prevented them from playing the game their way, there were some that gave us credit but it was a minority.

What is he on, some of these so called experts or pundits are clueless, all it would take is five minutes on the web to get the real facts, I would not call us a big club, but without doubt bigger than Q.P.R.

Have to agree, ref's quite often get stick they do not deserve, today's ref though deserves everything that gets thrown at him and his assistants, total rubbish, some very poor decisions, I thought the last goal was good, but will see for sure on M.O.T.D tonight.

I do remember Barry Horne scoring a cracking shot from well outside the area, cannot remember who it was against, but do remember the ball wavering through the air as it blasted into the top right hand corner of the goal, can anyone help me who Saints were playing against?

IF this rumour is true then NC will drop well down in my opinion of him, football like any business has a leader, NC being Saints CEO, but if we take another example Like Branson, he starts companies like airlines, rail, banks and communications, does he know how to run all these companies on a day to day basis, answer NO, he does the smart thing and puts in managers, who of course report to him but run them like it was their own. NC is a banker, and from all accounts a good business man and that is why I find it difficult to believe that he is interfering to the extent some would have us believe, however, if he is then perhaps he should take a long hard look at himself before making any manage decisions.

Good post and have to agree, their is nothing between the top ten championship sides and the bottom ten premiership, I feel we could hold our own with our current squad, with the addition of 3 may be four players we could do really well; my only note of caution would be, that if promoted and we have a good first season then it is the second season in the premiership to be wary of, for example Ipswich, Reading, Bolton (there first time) etc.
