I spoke with his Dad, just prior to his loan move, he told me that Jamie was feeling a little down after scoring two hat tricks for the reserves, he was beginning to wonder what he had to do to break into the first team squad. So I hope this loan move lifts him and helps him break into the first team on a regular basis, Wotte has had nothing but praise for him, so it does make you wonder at times.

As far as Lallana is concerned then I reckon Jamie White could fill that role well, as for Surman though I think he would be missed.

I have to agree with JRM, it was far more to do with Re-branding, the bubble has too and will burst at some time in the future. I have a friend who is a lifelong chelsea supporter, he informs me that a lot of fans are of course delighted with the results they now get; however, they also feel that a lot of the excitement has gone. They go to games expecting to win everyone of them, their is no sense of will we win or lose. Surely that is why we go to games, it is a competition to see who the best side is on the day and whilst we want to win them all; we also know that is not the reality of sport. Sorry but the high stakes in the premiership have to a large exstent killed the game we love, frankly it needs a super season long European league for the top five clubs against the rest of Europe. We would then go back to divisions 1,2,3 and 4 and get our game back, it is the only way forward as I see it, unless we can convince some very wealthy person to bank role the club and accept the losses season after season.

With reference to item 1, it has been my experince that it is always the guy with the longest one that does this. They always strut around the changing room as well ensuring that everyone has a good look, I always found it amusing frankly, it was also reassurring as I was never interested thank God.

You should care, simply because if the republicans win with the McCain/Palin Ticket either of our futures look bleak, the Republican convention this week has been more like a nazi rally than a party in a so called democracy. Frankly it is quite scary, their foreign policy is bomb first, ask questions later; and what ever they do they are bound to drag us Brits into it, as Jack Kennedy said "Our domestic policy could hurt us, but our foreign policy could kill us". When I was flying back and forth to the States I really thought that when allowed to vote I would be a republican, however, as always when you live in a country you learn a lot more. Trust me if I could vote it would be Democrat, they are not left wing as portrayed on some of the media over here, in fact I would put them more in line with our conservative party; so where does that leave the republicans I hear you ask, to the right of Ghengis Khan is the answer. So please take notice as it will havean effect on how you guys vote in a couple of years, my recomendation would be to vote for someone who can tell the Americans to go forth and multiply now and then, but not in so many words. Their biggest problem over hear and in particular the republicans is that their are only two opinions, theirs and the wrong one, they have no conception of life within the rest of the world.

I would love too mate, but do not have the funds to go trans-atlantic at the moment, but i am heartened by all of the comments I have read on this thread. So please all of you give them a cheer for me.
