  1. Thanks Saint-Clark, from over here it is a bit like trying to contribute via remote control; in terms of posting something constructive that is.
  2. If this has already been posted then I apologize, however, I have just noticed that the MK Dons midfielder Leven is attracting interest from Brighton and Millwall; I have not seen him play but I would have thought that if Millwall and Poyet of Brighton are interested he may be good for Saints, therefore some of you have seen him play, so my question is could he be a good signing?
  3. His biological Father is a very good friend of mine, who I have known since about 1978, Peter actually lived here in Fort Lauderdale, but is now in Italy; we often talk about Jamies career and obviously both feel he deserves another season after his injuries, to show AP what he can really do, I honestly believe that he will be a real asset to Saints in the medium term.
  4. I do not agree with you regarding White, he had a great game for the reserves against Salisbury a few weeks ago; scoring a hat trick in the first half, as I have stated before he has the footballing mind of a much older player and is really an attacking mid-field player. I promise you all if we let him go, we will rue the day, he needs another season with Saints after his injuries to really show what he can do.
  5. I do have to agree with you regarding the premiership, I have a friend who is an avid West Brom fan; he was telling me that he and a good number of other West Brom fans feel quite torn, yes delighted to gain promotion but are not looking forward to the pain of are we staying up or going straight back down again next season; the time has come to some how level the playing field in the premiership, just look at the clubs that have thrown money at a dream and have been financially ruined; and for what to basically stay in the top flight! the old division one day were a lot better in many ways, now we have cheque book football which as I have said many times on this forum is in many ways killing the game; and frankly the increased parachute payments is only going to make a bad situation worse.
  6. I have to agree, someone who can still bring a pot to the party but cannot quite hold down a place in a Premiership club, Paul Scholes would be good, may be Nicky Butt, along those lines may be.
  7. I see on Sky sports they have a team made up from League one clubs, we have three players in it, Davis, Lambert and Puncheon, Norwich have three as well; that in its self says a lot really.
  8. Cannot argue with any of that, when does the transfer window open? I cannot remember for the life of me when this starts, this forum gets better in terms of humour at the same time as well.
  9. He should do consultancy for Wemberly
  10. I was just thinking "how sorry, how sad, never mind".
  11. Good Point Saint_Clark, however, Jamie started life as an attacking midfielder, he has two good feet, when Chelsea trialed him and wanted to sign him by the way, the coach asked for those who were right footed to go to the right and those with the left go to the left. Jamie did not move, when asked why he simply said that he could use both, Pardew has not used him, however, I strongly believe he could do a very good job in this position, although young, his head is that of a much older player, I just fear that we may lose him to another club and live to regret it as well.
  12. You could add Jamie White to that list, he got a hat trick against Salisbury in the first half for the reserves last week.
  13. Jamie White could fill in really well, he is an attacking midfilder really anyway, he scored a hat trick in the first half against Salisbury las week as well; I think AP could be very surprised by his abilities, he has also got two good feet as opposed to one; I will probably geta lot of stick for this but I think he would fit in perfectly.
  14. I have to agree, funny enough I have just had a visit from a former business associate from the UK, he is a West Brom fan and of course I congratulated him on their return to the Premiership; However, and we both agreed on this, him and his fellow supporters feel quite torn; in that what is best; a great season in the championship or the grief and despair of trying to hang onto premiership status, he even went on to say that promotion this time around did not generate anything like the excitement it did in the past; due to the yo, yo seasons they have had the last three or four seasons, I have to say this does concern me as well. Whilst I have every confidence in winning the league one title next season and probably reaching the play off's the following season in the championship, when we get back to the premiership will it be a season of nail biting and frustration due to the cheque book football amongst the top 6-8 clubs.
  15. I have to believe we can do it, 78 points 6th place.
  16. Travel time!
  17. In the main I have to agree with you, however, apart from the gate sharing which has no chance of success; he does raise some good ideas that do need to be introduced, players wages being one of the biggest issues.
  18. Thanks for putting up the link Saint Clark, as I have no idea how to do that, being a silver surfer and all that.
  19. Sky sports news, click league one, scroll down and see Lambert fans player of the month, scroll down to link for player of the season.
  20. If someone has already posted this then sorry, however, on the Sky sports web site league one, their is an article referance Ricki winning fans player of the month; they are also having a player of the year, I voted and thought that their may be those on the forum that may not have seen this.
  21. Oh, I see, so when does the funny bit come?
  22. I agree with you Micky, at least that makes two of us.
  23. Could'nt agree more, the only thing you can take away from that game is, that we played badly by our own standards and got a result; nothing wrong with a bit of luck now and then.
  24. That is not only amazing but frankly mindless, I have lost count of the amount of teams that take a very early lead and then lose; so to walk out after 2 minutes for a game that lasts 90 beats me.
