    Fun facts!

    Horses can't either
  2. Thats right, excited by that prospect, on another note, the American commentator over here reffered to the GUARDSMEN who carried out the trophy at the start as BEEFEATERS, I strongly suggest he does a bit more research before he drops another clanger like that.
  3. Sorry Revolution, but I just think it is simply money grabbing by the FL, on fans in particular, additionally the old system worked extremely well for many years, Q.E.D if its not broke why fix it, hence my synical view of the FL, and the only people it really excites is the winner of what is no more than a lottery in my opinion.
  4. I have to agree with all of the above, I am gutted for the Huddersfield fans, on a personal note I hate the whole play off system; the whole idea of having a league is to see who comes out top at the end of the season; WHY turn it into a knockout after the league has ended, totally unfair in my opinion and should be dumped ASAP, to any Huddersfield fan that reads this then you have my total sympathy, lets hope Peterborough come down, as you go up, automatically next season.
  5. Just out of interest I checked the Arsenal web site for ticket prices, their cheapest matchday ticket right behind the goal was 33 pounds, rising to 94 pounds, would be interesting to see what other prem clubs are charging.
  6. Good, lots of noise, now I can fart
  7. Fantastic is right, I could never have imagined being this happy about being in the championship, second tier, feels a lot better this way round as opposed to dropping into it, that is certain.
  8. I would have to agree with all of that, however, it begs the question, what capacity do you believe it should move up too, my first shot would be 50,000 and if you agree does everyone think that we can fill a stadium of that size on a regular basis?
  9. Funny you should bring that up, I came to live in the states in May 2004, as you all know Saints went down in the 2004/05 season, as did my fortunes; I had gone into business with the wrong person, to cut a long story short lost an awful lot of money. On top of this my now 6 year old son was born, which of course made things really hard, although he is loved beyond belief; However, I managed to get another company off and running, but with no real money it was a struggle and Saints dropped another league, last year though a big order came in and got us afloat and Saints won the JPT but missed out on promotion, this year I have very large orders now coming in and Saints have been promoted, the bottom line here is that my mine and Saints fortunes have followed an almost identical graph over 7 years (7 years of feast followed by 7 years of famine) so for me that is the best bit about Saints be promoted as an ex-pat, on top of which I will of course see them play a lot more.
  10. Hi Wayman, did not know you were in Naples 6 months of the year, I just live across alligator alley in Hollywood, just south of Fort Lauderdale; if you are ever over this way let me know; send me a pm if you would please it is always good to meet with another Saints fan.
  11. Of course not, but thank you for the correction
  12. I believe Poyet is French is he not, if so he is in the same mould as Wenger, another sore loser, to compare us with the Daggers is not only insulting to us, but to Daggers as well, suggesting the only difference is Lambert. I rate poyet as a manager and if we did not have Adkins I would snap him up in a blink, but this kind of five year old behaviour because he did not get his way today, is frankly very unbecoming. Grow up Gus and get over it, you won the league, congratulations, but today you got beat by the better team.
  13. I have to agree with that, I do not know how many will agree with me, however, I think Adkins really knows how to turn a game around, his subs, sorry impact players have changed games for us a few times this season.
  14. Agreed, losing against them at SMS was a real downer, I see they lost to Colchester away 1-0, lets hope and pray that kind of form continues.
  15. Based on that the lad sounds pretty good to me.
  16. brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. The way things are going in terms of clubs going into administration, then I am afraid that it is only a matter of time before one disappears into oblivion; I hope it does not happen to Plymouth or indeed any club, with the F.A. also making plans to change the system with regards to academy's; it will only go on to make life even more difficult for lower league clubs.
  18. I have to agree, I said to friends over here pre-season that Brighton for me was the dark horse, ask any Leeds fan and they all rate Poyet very highly; they certainly do not give much credit to Wise.
  19. I recieved an e-mail from Jamie's dad just yesterday informing me that he has signed for a Mackay team doen under, however, it was reported in the Echo just last week that he had signed for Totton. The news I have though and reading from the Australian local rag that he has definately signed along with Jamie Hatch, I hope he can give his career a kick start with this new start after the injuries he has suffered recently.
  20. I have to agree, the last time I watched Saints was against Man U was 2009, we have come a long way since then, I watched the game with a Man U fan who actually comes from Manchester and he was full of praise in the way we played. I also thought Sir Alex gave us the right amount of respect as well, although felt he had to step it up in the second half as I am sure he would not want a replay either.
  21. Fox sports showed the 76 final over here last night, it was great to watch that again, I hope it proves to be a good omen as the game today is also being shown here in the states. However, I have a good friend coming over to watch it with me, who happens to be a Man.U fan, at least he is from Manchester unlike the prawn sandwich brigade from south London etc.
  22. The time has come to establish a competitor to FIFA, they resent England anyway, so pull all the big European and South Americn football nations together and form another governing body with fair and real representation; give FIFA the finger.
  23. Their claim for zero carbon emmisions is a joke as well, they might be able to power the stadiums with a zero carbon foot print, but how are they going to get the raw materials, build them, dismantle them and subsequently ship them to other countries, by my reckoning their carbom emmisions will go through the roof of all the stadiums they build; yet more B.S. yet FIFA believe it, what a laugh.
  24. Back in 1991 my then wife and I separated, I had my suspicions about her for some time, however, some time later I went to a news agent to buy an auto sport magazine, glancing the top shelf as you do I noticed a soft porn magazine called "40 plus": this had nothing to do with boob size it was about the age of the women contained within the magazine, on the front cover though was my the estranged wife. Life can be stranger than fiction.
  25. I send all mine down with a tracking device, the receiver is of course hidden at Fratton Park.
