Papa has been bought in to add some real pace to the front line No other reason. Lambert is great in the air has decent touch, leads the line well but runs like he is towing a caravan. Anyone who thinks he should play wide really doesnt understand much about footy, IMO

7 goals conceded makes us a top 6 defence. 3 of those at huddersfield with perry and thomas and now with Trotman and jaihidi (sp.) at the back things will get even tighter. the key now is goals. we have no pace up front. The opposition defence can push right up and squeeze the space in midfield. As i see it Papa and his pace will give defenders something to think about, they will need to play deeper and thus creating more space in midfield. Im hoping the extra space created will give the likes of lallana morgan and hammond who are generally composed on the ball the time to dictate the play. I was massively frustrated yesterday but I can see the bigger pictuer and the ship is turning.

Maybe when Papa scores, the whole northam end can chant "who's the Daddy!"

Personally looking at the entire squad we have a bloody good side. Shame we cant start the season again with this sqaud in place. Hey ho we are only 5 games in Interestingly they showed the new pompey side and the difference between that and the FA cup team. Only James remains, I really feel we would give them a damn good game. fingers crossed for a good FA cup draw (assuming we make the 3rd round) .

Am i the only one who noticed the ref played 4.5 mins injury time when the board held up by the arseisstant said 3?

This proposal is completely unworkable as it is open to abuse by rich owners. For instance Saints could offer a season ticket for the seat above the clock on the halfway line for £20million pounds per year. clearly if ML wanted to invest lots of money into the clubfor players he could buy that ticket for the said amount. The league wouldnt be able to impose a cap on season ticket prices without being open to price fixing rules. There could be loads of legal loopholes allowing rich owners toi pump money (revenue ) into a club it it wanted too. farfetched I kow but the prinicple is right that any revenue cap is open to abuse.

Rasiak not in the squad so I giess he is off then!

SO if we used your advice then we would need to wait about 5 years to meet the 10-15 game target.

Saints vs No'ton - FULL TIME (2-0, Lambert '29, Lallana '68)

heard that Lambert asked to be taken off and hada large icepack on knee, any other sightings or just my sister who was at the game winding me up? -
students typically spend all thier money on booze, so if they really wanted to go to games they could divert some funds from booze to footy if they wanted. Based on the fact that they are likely to earn more than the national average in the future I would charge them more. Either that or effing shoot them and reduce my tax bill

The other point that slightly worries me is that NC convinced ML to buy the club. Now that doesnt soud like someone who bought the club for the Kudos of having a succesful footy club to watch. If NC convinced ML to buy the club then does this mean the reason he bought it was because they feel there could be a good ROI

As far as I am aware he has already signed Harding, so this is a pointless thread

Matt was a great player but personally I dont ageee that he is better than Ronaldo. Like him or not he is a special player and overall he is a btter player than Matt was.

AP is a sales genius IMO. First he sells Donkeys to Blackpool, whatever next coal to newcastle, sand to arabs?

Interestin to see wotte sat in the crowd today.

He only drinks when he's driving

The last *****ing skate to manage the saints got us relegated and in this mess and i will heckle the donkey at every game if he gets the job. no to the drunk skate.

Why shouldnt women be allowed into football stadiums? FFS Every clubs needs cheerleaders and someone to serve the beer lol

and how many people will buy a season ticket now because they can take thier kid along for pretty much fook all. I spent 390 on a ST last season plus my 6yr old went to around 15 games at £10 a time so overall that worked out at £540 against £350 this season. Bargain. I think there will be a rush to renew and then next week a high profile manager will be announced and maybe a decent payer or two and then there will be a second rush.

Well at least all the usual suspects will have something to moan and whine about.

Oh come on all you drama queens. How can anyone say they would prefer to have no team to support next season over a team in league one owned by Lowe. Talk about cut your nose off to spite your face. I agree with NickG anyone who prefers the club to fold clearly doesnt feel the same feelings of pain I would feel if 35 years of supporting saints came to an abrupt end. It would be like a good friend dying.

I say Southhampton 2009 FC. If it went ala AFC wimbledon then we would need to start in The Rymans Division one. Essesntailly that is League 8. (with premier league being 1). Pheonix from the flames stuff IMO. It would be great if we could take 5000 to Godalming FC away first game of the season. What logistical nightmare we could create for wanckers that run this game.

your right of course but at least its something to cling to today rather than radio silence. God im ****ed off
