  1. He is very unagressive for a fullback. We let him go what more do you want to know? But then you think Todger is better than Lambert so you will probably be calling him to be playing for England after a few games.
  2. Random computer nerd who runs a website asks to come into the training ground Its not much of a suprise that they said its inlikely
  3. Opinions are like a-rseholes, everyone has got one. You my friend are deluded and talking out of yours How you can say Todger will out score Lambert who has scored over 60 league goals in two seasons is frankly ridiculous. I think forest and leicesters performance as the promoted sides from league 1 last year prove that the difference in standard between the top of L1 and the championdhip isnt particularly great. I would bet that if a poll of football fans i league 1 were asked who they would have up front the saints pair would get more votes. Tiem to remove those rose tinted glasses and gear up for an almighty struggle to get back to the championship.
  4. FFS do you ever stop bleating on and on and on. People go to football to watch a good game, support thier team and hopefully win. Absolutely nothing else effects the amount of people turning up each week. The Ted Bates trophy is an insignificant pre season warm up nothing more. Ted Bates himself is remembered by the fans themselves not through statues or named tounaments. If you truely beleive that Ted bates and his memory is the cornerstone of the club then you will remember him in your heart no in a frigging statue of game against fc whoever.
  5. Why do they need to market them? Surely the customer base is compeltely aware of the product and what it is likely to cost. The only real issue is the 1300 or so people that have been inconvenienced by the lack of an installment plan. Of those 1300 (or so) most have personal finance options open to them leaving a small minority that cant get credit. Maybe those people shouldnt be incouraged to get into more debt further. Im not sure i agree with very late bearing in mind that they were realeased what nearly 8 weeks ahead of the start of the season? Its all ifs and buts and frankly there are bigger things to worry about in this world.
  6. Personally I feel that there are few people sitting, looking and waiting for things that can be used as a dig at the club. In the grand scale of things IMO they are all minor insignificant points and not worth getting worked up about. There are certainly many things in this wrold that are worthy of challenging but installment plans, names of suites and whether we announce a pre season friendly in good time are not. All IMO of course. I find the pettiness of some of the whinges far more frustrating than the events themselves.
  7. And if we dont signe someone soon all the waynekers on here will frive me mad with thier inane negative / cortese is the devil type posts
  8. no its you who is unbelievable.
  9. some people are never happy. I suggest you follow an american sport that is scripted to keep people happy. Maybe WWF wrestling is the way forward for you. The fact that the only bid on the table to keep the club alive was from ML/NC suggests to me that they have the right to do the **** they like if they deliver a saints team for us to watch
  10. That bull****, if these england players are only being made to look good by all the world class players around them at thie clubs do you not think managers of the likes of ferguson, jose M etc would work that our an replace them to make thier teams better? I cant remember matty LT making anyu of his fellow saints players look ing good
  11. IS it only me on here that thinks the weight of expectation would have destroyed any teams ability to perform. Please tell me any other country that had 60 million fans daring their team to fail. how many fans ridicule thier players for daring to miss a penalty and harp on about it for 20 years. how many burn effigies of thier start player when he made a mistake and gets sent off. the fear of failure is cripplling. speak to fans of other countries and the weight of expectation is simply not there. Rooney is undoubtedly a world class player but was paralysed by the pressure perform /win the world cup for us. No doubt in the coming season these england players will be slaughtered bt the fans in te premier league and so the cycle goes on with the young up and coming players watching the witch hunt. englan are doomed to be victims of the passion and desire of the fans need to win the world cup and be the best.
  12. For me its fairly obvious ...... The level of expectation, the pressure on the team to perform + the microscopic analysis by the media + the premier leagues obsession with money and foreeign players = **** poor performance. Clearly individually the players have the talent but thier seems to be a a mentality where the fear of making a mistakee and being fillified by the press and the public overides the desire to player to the level that they are capable. look back at previous world cups and look at the way beckham was treated after being sent off and the look at the way the penalty takers were slaughtered after they missed thier kicks. If the pressure was relieved and scum in the press withdrew thier need to critisise every mistake then maybe our talented players would perform at the level they do week to week. All of this talk of the world cup bewing the highest level of footy is shyte. league foot is higher because it tis the best players from throughout the world playing in the same leagues. our players consistently player at a higer level and play better football. The is not the same level of expwctation and pressure. Until that is removed we will remain on the same cycle.
  13. this thread is as pointless as starting a thread entitled "guess what alan pardews favourite colour is?" come to think of it any guesses anyone as its vaguely on topic and is sure to stimulate some riveting debate.
  14. NO sympathy. regardlesss of who they support anyone that is prepared to throw coins, wood, hubcaps etc at another person and gernerally behave inappropriately at an event that has been attended by children is in my opinion a scumbag and desrves no sypathy. It may be harsh but I bet they wont do it again. There were another 31k + people that could restrain thier behavior despite any provocation that may have occured. Sorry but I have no sypathy for those involved.
  15. i appreciate this is the world cup. i appreciate that its the best players in the world. i appeciate that the players were under a ot of pessure to perform tonight. however i hosesty believe the current starting saints 11 would under the same circumstances and pressure taken algeria apart tonight in what was essentaillt a home game.
  16. That would be my team as well. How Shyte Flips got on ahead of Cole is anyones guess.
  17. Finishing second in our group and moving into the other half of the draw to avoid Brazil and spain now looks like the way to go.
  18. on my 9700 on the main forum there are some words on top of each other when there are multiple pages on a thread title.
  19. Doesnt seem to work on my blackberry very well. on the main forum when there are multiple pages numbers for avspecific thread title it seems to have all the writing on top of each other.
  20. how about you dont buy a new season ticket, make a post once telling us that you wont be buying and then with respect ..... shut the ***** up about it as i think we get the picture that you are not happy about it.
  21. what an original idea for a thread.
  22. Rio Ferdinand has hobbled out of England's first training session in South Africa, but the more worrying news for me is that he suffered the injury being "turned by Emile Heskey". Pretty bad news all round
  23. I cant believe people are still whinging about installment plans and Cortese in general FFS. Its a football club and if you want to watch games you either buy a season ticket or buy a ticket for each game that you want to go to. Who gives a toss who runs the club and whether they communicate with the fans on a dailly basis. Surely the truly important thing is being able to get into a game and watching a winning team. Ultimately those whio think attendances will be effected by the withdrawal of an installment plan are niave at best. The only true thing that effects attendance is whether the team are matching the expectations of the fans. If we are top of the league it will be rammed if we are bottom it will be empty.
  24. We didnt actually fall short on a point for point basis. The FACT ammassed enough points to make the play offs and huddersfield didnt. The rules were bent to suit the football league at the end of last season and as a result we have suffered.
  25. I hate to tell you this but there was a third time, the Royal Navy
