  1. I'm kind of glad I'm at the riverside stadium today as WGS side seems to be doing its stuff
  2. Hey, look on the brightside. Noone is starting to run away with it this year. I think a lot less points will be needed for automatic promo and the playoffs this year. The team is short on confidence and fitness IMO. lallana and barny back in the side will make a significant difference. A couple of loans in will also step things on and finally the new manager should be able to lift the rest over the enw couple of weeks. Im still confident that we will shake things up. Although its been a tough start the league is far more open this year and thats a massive positive for me but then ive never been one to slit my wrist at the first sign of trouble. We seem to have a board full of frama queens and Divas who clearly give up at the first hurdle. With every kick in the teeth and hurlde passed the reqards get greater!!
  3. you paid a fiver to post such ridiculous post with absolutely no thought behind it at all. I can't remember Gray manageing any side to two promotions in 3 years. I dont remember any of the fans at the clubs he has worked at been gutted with his departure.
  4. Its Pardews fault where we are at this point. With his antics he has destroyed team spirit and got himself sacked to boot. Everyone knows the what the training ground rumours were well I have had it 100% confirmed by someone inside the club. HE is a disgrace and should firmly should the blame for the current mood within the camp. NC had no choice but to remove him as none of the senior players would back him. Add to that his failure to get the team remotley fit in preseason we are now on a collision course with the foot of the table. The sooner we get a manager in who can organise and motivate the side we are on a downward spiral.
  5. you only have to listen to the mans press conferences. its a done deal and will be sorted after the game saturday. NA is 100% our new manager accept it, support him and let the good times roll. i for one am pleased.
  6. http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=460&fid=12&sty=2&act=1&mid=2120201811 The s****horpe site seems to think that a deal is done and NA will leave scunny after the match tomorrow. I guess thats no real suprise if true.
  7. http://www.thisiss****horpe.co.uk/sport/Uncertainty-deepens-Adkins-future-S****horpe-United/article-2626281-detail/article.html - seems its still on
  8. Well sounds like NA isnt quite the nodding dog that some on here are suggesting.
  9. Absolutely agree with this. Lets face it he wont be an unknown if he gets us back this year and starts a charge in the CCC. Im sure we will then be sat here moaning that other clubs are sniffing around him.
  10. I find it amazing that people dismiss Adkins just because he isnt one of the name mangers who make a fortune from the merry go round of management placements with a general record mediocrity. Within my business I will assess a candidate based partly on thier track record and also from thier ambition for the future (and how they articulate thier strategy to deliver). Then its a gut judgement from thier inteview performance of whether they have the potential to be a star. Businessmen who write off potential candidates with future potentail are genrally shortsighted and doomed to failure in my experience.
  11. make sure you give your dummy a wash before you put it back in your mouth eh
  12. Don Johnson wore a white suit in miami vice and he was cool as. i dont see what the problem is.
  13. What committee is this? I appreciate that Les Reed may rung the scouting network but I am sure that he makes requests of the team on who to scout and also makes a fianl decision on which of all the players that are scouted he wants. Where has this information that Les reed decides who we purchase?
  14. +1 My word not everyone is prone to knee jerk pitch fork wielding madness
  15. Definataly more to this sacking than meets the eye. I know for a fact (from the goalkeeping coach) that the management team were told by NC that play offs were unacceptable this season. 1st or 2nd only and if they werent on course for that sort of finish in october they were told that they would be replaced. Has anyone else heard rumours of AP playing around with a female staff member and ML viewed this sort of behavior as unacceptable by his standards. However NC convinced him to stick with him. I heard this a couple of times but nothing concrete or from particularly reliable sources. Mabe bull**** but either way there is clearly more to this story under the surface than we will ever be told. I fully expect much more gossip to surface our of the club over the coming days / weeks.
  16. wayneker of the week award goes to .....
  17. and to be fair to him despite being off form he is top scorer with 2 goals in 2 league games
  18. Personally I think we will only see loans anyway. I have nothing to base my view other than I think since ML's death the financial purse strings will be tightened despite the communication that has been delivered to suggest otherwise. on the other hand the squad we have at the moment should be strong enough to gain promotion. Whether the resources are being used to full effectiveness Is open for debate.
  19. Head nail hit on!! Antonio was a decent enough player at times but also rather inconsistant with a fairly average touch. Anyone remember his performance at wycombe away? worst performance from a saints player i can remember for a while. worth buying at a reasonable price but wont lose too much sleep over him
  20. Unlikely? Why? an option to buy would be a wise option regardless of money bearing in mindevery clubs financial situation can change quite rapidly. its also not beyond the realms of possibility that we only secured the loan by giving the Cesena the impression that we would be happy to buy if it all worked out well.
  21. HAs anyone considered the possibility that AP has no money to spend? Maybe there has not been a financial committment moving forward by the new owner? If this is a possibility then clearly we can only bring in loans. I thiink it unliekly that any player we consider a certainty to improve the team is unlikely to be available on loan (unless its craig bellamy). So maybe guly is a risk worth taking based on the fact that a loan signing is the only option. Thoughts?
  22. any news on whether Gooley has clearance?
  23. YOu have to be joking surely? I bet in your world he isnt allowed to fart for 12 months our of respect.
  24. I hope they dont sell even if they just want to run it as a self sustaining business. Do we really want somebody with no real wealth / disposable income that secures a £15million loan against the clubs assetts to leverage control of SFC. They would be gambleing that the current squad is capable of moving up the leagues and increasing the sell on value at a later date. Is this not why the Mancs are getting restless. If the wrong buyer is selected we would only be marginally better off than before the great man saved. All IMO of course.
  25. Surely its possible somebody could buy the club by borrowing the money and securing it against its assests ala Man Who. I for one am concerned for the medium term future of the club again until someone stands up and says i own the club and these are our plans
