entertainment value for season ticket holders i presume 😉

its not like its only for a couple of weeks. He will need to be at training 4/5 days a week plus match day for near on 9 months of the year. who cares whether he is driven or drives himself in a rolls royce its still an absolute minimum of 4 hours in a car each day. yes he could rent a flat but how long before he and more importantly his wife gets fucked off with him being away from his young child for 3 nights per week. sustainable short term but not on a 3 year contract. it will get frustrating pretty damn quick. he has to weigh that up over playing in the PL with westham if he wont move. i think Fulham is his most likely destination if any, with even Brighton a bit of trek from winchester. it will definitely be factored into his decision and he may just buy into Russell Martin and give it a year to get back. its more likely than any of the other mercenaries that want out
-
Yep and that could easily rule out west ham. Would he leave Saints for Fulham on a contract not particularly bigger than what he is on now? I guess could come down to his confidence that RM can build a promotion winning team.
-
ive heard that his wife doesn't wasn't to leave their home in Winchester /Twyford way and as such only London clubs are realistic as he will need to commute to training. guess that means Wet Spam and or Fulham. Not sure where west ham train but that could be a trek each day that could put him off.
-
IF Lavia was any good why did they let him leave?
-
Id like to see more of him at championship level particularly if KWP goes. TIno and BRee as the RB options would be one position covered.
-
This @exwestham guy is one of the only ITK at west Ham. He comes out with all sorts of info that is on the money.
-
I dont recall seeing any bids of £45m for Lavia or £35m for JWP do you? There seems to be a lot of talk about low bids and saints asking too much but little mutual ground being made on getting closer. Not sure what you want saints to do to get things moving as you havent really offered an alternatives. Sure id rather know where we are with players out and In but it really doesnt seem as simple as you are making it sound. Do you really think saints saying ok well take 35 on JWP or 40 on lavia will ensure we get that money or will it just weaken our hand further as we are desperate?
-
So unless we buy before we sell which you say we cant do then we have no alternative to sell at a reduced price to get them gone seeing as we have of no way of making any team match our valuation. With that in mind what number do you think we should accept right now for Lavia, JWP, AKB, KWP etc? also if we indicated that we would accept maybe 30m for Lavia, what would stop them offering maybe 20m? I would suggest if you cant give an answer to these questions you are just talking bollox.
-
yeah he has a kid in liverpool i thought hence wanting to stay up north
-
A team needs to be clever(er) in conserving energy and thats a factor in why we went down? Ive heard it all now.
-
gets Tella and Tino apparently
-
swap Moi and Che out for better players (which shouldnt have been too hard) and we would likely have stayed up and the younger ones would have developed. Small margins and now we face losing the best of the rest.
-
Why will they want / need to recoup a lot of money? they even publicly said that the financial support is there to get the club back? I cant remember them ever saying we will financially support the club by selling anything that isn't nailed down which means its clear from your comments is that you are absolutely guessing and / or they were lying.
-
to be fair you could be living in Bali with financial security and you would be considering slitting your wrists.
-
We certainly aren't getting £35 million but I just wouldn't sell for £15 as there is too much upside with 1 good season in the championship. If we take £15 ill will start to get nervous that SR are looking to recover as much money as possible when it "appears" that he is happy to stay. Even if he wants to go he aint going to kick up a fuss and have a strop if we make him stay as he needs games badly.
-
what bollox, . its a legal dispute and will end in court, arbitration or settled at some point. you cannot restrict someone from earning a living because you disagree with another party.
-
so is mason
-
why is disputing the interpretation of a contract clause scummy, particularly when its £500k? the 2 parties don't agree and a court or arbitrator will decide. fairly standard business behaviour.
-
Which you cant possibly win as he hadnt actually signed a contract until (reads notes) this week? unless of course you have a unfair r / restrictive clause saying someone cant consider changing jobs ?
-
You must be gutted he has been replaced with some no mark from League 1 who has achieved even less?
-
considering we will likely have new Cbs and midfield does it really matter how it worked in the past? or are you saying 3 at the back doesnt work full stop?
-
look we all know if one of their players wants to join us then they will have little choice but to sell him at the going rate. its how football works.
-
How do you know isnt being done / hasnt been done already?
