  1. Actually I think he will play 3 CBs next week.

    Redmond

Even though we did last year and currently are this year?

    Lemina!

Wasn't it the song the Watford fans were singing all game last week but obviously their players name inserted?
  4. Without watching the game its difficult to judge but look at his positioning and the compelte lack of effort to defend those specific situations, (regardless of being out for 8/9 months) it very much looked like he couldn't be arsed. I don't care how rusty he is at the least he should be busting a gut. I have a feeling this well end messily in January with a sales a lower price than we could have achieved in August.
  5. You think the team have a chance with your mrs then?
  6. He will do nothing else but give it 100%. If clubs see him playing badly they may feel it's because of his injury and then effect whether they are still interested in him.
  7. I personally think he is our best player in every position, so yes he could play up front.
  8. i watched the game as well and tend to agree. Although the French have an abundance of top quality attacking players. He seemed to struggle for pace a little but i guess we knew that.
  9. Of course, plenty in here. Couple of Glaswegian, Austrian and Marvel variety
  10. Thats acutally the most sensible post you have ever made and quite funny
  11. Now that post is truer than any I have ever read. Batman give it up your are as tiresome as the transfer window itself.
  12. I'd have him washing the other players cars on match day afternoons. Then charge fans £10 to chuck rotten fruit at him. That should make up for any loss of value next season when we sell him.
  13. The latest on twitter is that LFC are waiting for any bid being accepted from another club before they then gazump it. Apparently saintsfc would be legally obliged to accept that as well. The stupid dipper quoted a similar case for Henize raising a legal case around a bid not being accepted that was higher from another club. It doesnt seem to deter him from his argument that he lost the case. Apparently it would be international news and a PR disaster if VVd went down this route so we would accept. Straw clutchingly bad argument but funny.
  14. Although we controlled the game more after he came on. Wouldn't have taken of gabby though maybe tadic for Jwp and then rather McQueen
  15. The standard of trolling from the usual *****tards is impeccable as usual. Well done
  16. k well yes i guess so. Clearly he is being told what he can put on the forum to get a direct feed to saints fans. It wouldn't take too much of an effort by the club to find out who is leaking this level of information assuming its accurate and its not authorised. I have a friend who works at the club and has access to high level information but they never tell us anything (well almost nothing).
  17. Out of interest who are the top 3 academies in the country. Not based on the current crop but over a period of say 10 years? Ie consistency
  18. Happy that we get some information from him. I personally think this is the clubs way of keeping the fans informed of what is going without the need to give statements / to the press. Gives them a degree of deniability if things change.
  19. More worryingly it's now 1 goal from open play in the last 8 competitive home games
  20. Usual suspects to the math threads incoming.
  21. Does the volume button on your laptop not work if you do t like the noise?
  22. I tend to agree whilst both a decent defenders on the ground they have the presence of a penguin in the air. We looked rally susceptible to high balls / crosses into the box. In fact I nearly remember us winning a high ball in the area all afternoon. A massive worry for me against physical teams.
  23. This may be a little simplistic but my view is that if I were to buy the club why would even consider using personal wealth to fund the purchase. Assuming the debt to buy the club is at 210million at circa 4% Interest then the payment would be £8m per annum. Now the 210 mil cash / capital that he doesn't need to tie up in the purchase can be invested with a likely return of more than 4%. Assuming he believes he has has the business know how &contacts to access to chinese markets to develop the business its then its easy to see a profit growth to cover the debt in a fairly relatively short amount of time. Hence why owners would typically finance the purchase of clubs rather than commit personal wealth. So if we assume he pumps in £8mill per year to cover the cost of the debt then the only question we really need to ask is does he have the business acumen to develop p&l of Southampton over a period of time. Looking at the evidence he has built his own wealth whereas Kat inherited it so I would say we are in a better place now she has sold if as she says he holds the same values.
  24. Looks like exactly what we need. Yes he gave the ball away but never in dangerous defensive positions and looks like a player in the in the bertrand / Romeo mound. I.e. Clearly has talent but needs a decent run of games to get his sharpness which you don't get at a big club. Half a season of back to back games ans I think he will be a big player for us.
