The player is flawed, all about himself and not the team, happy to take risks in poor areas ultimately giving the ball away in dangerous areas. Flatters to deceive going forward and doesn’t really add goals from midfield. Plus side he does look good when he takes on players and gets passed his man. Easy sell for me particularly if we spend the money well.

Im not sure I agree, yes he is our most talented player but if he had the temperament to be able to deliver consistently on that talent he would be playing at a higher level already IMO. Too much of a show pony trying to take on players and risk losing the ball in dangerous positions. All about him and not the team is my view. Agree that further forward he would be far more useful but im not sure that he has the characteristic that RH likes in those positions (ie pace). Personally I would consider selling if we could get the right money and look for a better option in romeos position. All about opinions i guess.

Just read some great posts on the Villa Forums. Targett has been described as having a wand of a left foot. Personally I think Matty was a solid if unspectacular left back. I would describe as having a left foot not a wand of a left foot.

What about a 4-2-2-2 Gunn Valery new CB Benerek Berty PEH Romeu Redmond Djenepo Ings Adams looks decent to me. With 2 quick players that like to run at defences we will at least be exciting to watch next season

Agree with this completely. Bert is a much better player than targett IMO. A lack pace is the missing ingredient.

Not everyone. I can categorically tell you I would not have acted in that manner. Just signed a 6 year contract, sat on my arse taking circa 60k a week whilst injured, I would have stayed for another year without a seconds thought. I’d sell lemina. Show pony that likes to do too much on the ball in our own half often giving it away. If we could get 25mill plus I’d prob take it. Nit sure RH will turn him in to a consistent player.

i was really disappointed to see Romeu taken off last night. A few around me were calling for him to replaced because he was on a card. My view was that without his bite we would lose the midfield an ultimately the lead which i looked the correct call unfortunately. As far as I can recall OR has never had a red card for saints and been booked dozens of times.

i would say with Ings stamina and energy he is more than suited to RH pressing style.

Not sure if you have seen the announcement but they already have. RK has left the club after 6 years and whilst the focus will be on the next 6 games to ensure survival, At the end of the season the club will release more information about the future leadership structure. Calm down captain mannering. Businesses lose staff all the time and other good employees come in and sometimes staff are replaced to allow the business to change strategy / focus for the better.

I agree they have 4 winnable games and could get a point or two from the other games. That, however is very different from winning all 4 and getting a draw in the other 2. I would expect based on current form and a factor of relegated sides gaining a few unusual results would mean they are more than likely to get no more than 8-9 points. Therefore I think we need 4 points from 6 to be safe and based on the same thinking we are more likely to get 9. Just my ionuon but im a little more optimistic i guess.
