I wouldn't register to go on a Pompey messageboard. Would you register to go on a Saints' one? Oh...
-
Copied from one of their websites ... I aree with you re the current mess. However my attachment to Pompey is a complicated mixture of childhood nostalga and desire to see exciting, good, competitive fooball. i dont think unfortunately a new club in the conference playing I don't now where will give me that. When I was a kid I supported Pompy first and Southampton second. No ridiculous hatred in those days - just enjoyment of Paine, Sydenham Chvers et al. If Pmpey cease to exist it will be back to southampton for me I suspect he is on his own, though...

Every time Nickh claims that they will 'get away with it' - something worse happens!

It seems to have disappeared now!

The kit man seems to earn far more than I ever did as a Deputy Head.

Nickh - everytime you write that, Pompey seem to get hit by yet another disaster. Keep it up!

Saints won and Pompey lost so it was a very good Saturday! If they do go out of business, we will lose that...

Ok - I'll try again http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/newshome/Pompey-prepare-statement-for-court.6074736.jp

I don't know if this has been mentioned already but the last paragraph of this is quite funny... http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/newshome/Pompey-prepare-statement-for-court.6074736

I was there! It was absolutely brilliant. We had just beaten Liverpool 4 - 1 earlier in the week and the beat them 1 - 0 at Anfield the next Wednesday.

My perfect saturday is Saints winning and then hearing that Pompey have lost - I'll miss that! Never mind.
-
I give you my permission - if that counts...

If that happens, will the Pompey faithful sing 'You an stick your f****** Arabs up your a***"?

There is a Southampton version - not as hard though (unless it's changed since I took it - 1973). You need to be able to give them the shortest routes from point A to point B across the City. I'm not sure whether private hire drivers have to take it as well as taxi drivers. I know of one driver who took his fare to Bartley instead of Botley but that was because the passenger had a posh accent,

In the 70s and 80s, teaching grammar was frowned upon in the primary schools - the idea was that it prevented children from writing freely and that they would soon pick it up once they 'got going'. This attitude changed in the 90s and children are taught grammar now; however, the problem is that the current teachers were were never taught it in the first place!

The lull before the storm.

They will if all of Pompey's results are expunged from the results.

If she is on the board when they enter administration, would she be banned from being on the board of any other company?

A sentence from today's Guardian... 'People mistakenly conclude that the current problems at, say, Portsmouth are symptomatic of a widespread malaise in the game when, in reality, they are symptomatic of nothing more than the fact that those in charge of Portsmouth couldn't run a sponsored silence in a Trappist monastery.'
