  1. They all count mate, doesn't matter if it's a 45-yard rocket against Liverpool, or a 1-yard tap-in against the Fox & Hounds, it's still a goal, so 14 goals this season
  2. Just a general question, Hampshire are playing Ireland on Monday 18th May 09 at 14:30 in the Friends Provident Trophy (one-day game, 50 overs per side) and was wondering if any of you guys new approximately how long the match would take to play. many thanks
  3. what a joke this game is, started a new game as saints boss, taken chargen of 6 league games, won 4, drawn 1 lost 1, sit 3rd in the league saints get taken over and I get sacked for Paul Jewell!! what a joke! oh and J_Bizzle, where's the screnshot of this 8"1 14year old striker then?
  4. Joey Barton will be without a club this summer and would add a bit of fight into our midfield lol, and plus, with all those suspensions he'll get for getting sent off in every game he plays, he'll still play more than Schneiderlin. But on a serious note, Adam Le Fondre would be a quality signing, same physique as BWP, but scores goals for fun at this level, and his dad is from Guernsey and went to school with one of the Le Tissier brothers, not 100% on that, but I think I remember reading that somewhere. Ricky Lambert would be good and Miguel Comingues or Phil Ifil (the one we had on loan from spurs a few years back) would be decent Right-Backs
  5. What was the best goal scored by a Saints player? /Robertson v Norwich The best game you saw? Reading 1-2 Saints Funniest chant heard? At home to QPR, "Bradley Wright-Phillips, he's ****ging your mom" Your funniest moment of the season on or off the pitch? Us missing two penalties in the first 20 minutes at home to Watford
  6. David McGoldrick, no matter how much people slate him, he scores goals, and has scored ALOT more than anyone else has in our team
  7. does anyone know where I can listen to the 2nd half next week
  8. anyone know where I can listen to the match online? thanks in advance
  9. ahha right, well in that case, for everyone that won't get a ST if he-who-must-not-be-named returns, why don't you do what I plan on doing *****il jan 2010 before i head to USA for my studies) and go buy a ticket for saints away games, that way you get to see saints, and no money goes to him just a plan and I know people have commitments etc but it might work
  10. here's just a quick question which someone will hopefully be able to answer Do away ticket sales profits go to the home or away club say for example, it's millwall v saints at the new den, and saints get allocated 1,000 tickets (nice round number), would saints keep the money they make from the ticket sales or do millwall?
  11. Harry Redknapp to become Saints boss next season when we get taken over
  12. http://www.football.virginmedia.com/page/Football/Championship/VideoIndex/0,,12555,00.html
  13. I'd keep: Kelvin Davis Chris Perry Wayne Thomas Marek Saganowski Jan-Paul Saeijs Bradley Wright-Phillips Lee Holmes Stern John Jason Euell David McGoldrick Morgan Schneiderlin Adam Lallana Simon Gillet Lloyd James Oliver Lancashire Bartosz Bialkowski Joseph Mills Jamie White Matthew Patterson Oscar Gobern Ryan Smith Kayne McLaggon Should be good enough fo next year (although I think only probably half will actually stay)
  14. This is true, It was reported in the national press a few weeks back when the holding company went into administration, also was in one of the programmes, Charlton I think but am not 100% (It's the one with the big Jason Euell interview.) Absolute credit must go to them both, most pro's wouldn't have done anything like that. Really really hope he stays, and I have a good feeling he will. Thank you Kelvin!
  15. The Referee was Mike Jones, and I belive we had him for the Wolves game where he sent off Jason Euell for a nothing challenge. I agree with the first post that he bottled it, and he has no authority over the game at all. As a qualified referee I felt embarassed after that performance yesterday. If you wish to make a formal complaint about him click on the link below, I know I most definately will be. http://www.thefa.com/TheFA/WhoWeAre/ContactUs/ComplaintsProcedure/Player/FARelatedComplaint.aspx hope that helps.
  16. What I really hope we do is sign a Right-Back I like that Ifil we had on loan a few years back from spurs who now plays for Colchester, and then we can stick James in midfield where he really should be playing, it's his natural position. he is a lot better than wotton, who i though was excellent today btw. Davis 8 - Thought he was iommense today, if only his kicking was half decent. James 6 - Not a right back, made a big mistake but apart from that, plaed well Perry 7 - Solid. Saeijs 6 - Very clumsy at times but our best defender. Surman 6 - Best game for a long while, overdue, but out od position too much. Lallana 6 - Shadow of the player he was at the beginign of the season. Wotton 7 - Best game so far, lacks quality but makes up in effort. Gillet 8 - Superb engine. McGoldrick 7 - Good instinct for goal, poor poor penalty though. Wright-Phillips 6 - Lucky goal, really should have made it 2-0. Euell - Usual running but lack of skill, went missing in the fsecond half. all in all should have won 5-3, but like Perry says on OS, sums up our season Discraceful scenes by hooliganite chavs at the end.
  17. why has mcgoldrick been taken off?? wotte really doesn't have a clue he has his head so much up surmans arse it's unbelievable
  18. surman....waht is the point in him playing out there...2 corners, 1st didn;t get past the 1st man, the 2nd was miles too long when are people going to wake up and realise he is CRAP, utter CRAP and he's not the only one out there let's look at the positives, we haven't conceeded in the past 15mins
  19. i'm turning this **** off now...what a load of crap...this is sooo embarassing!!!
  20. Also just got back from the game, Euell's miss was appalling, added to the one-on-one he missed on satm he should be droped to AMC or the bench but oh well. I though JPS was our MOM, with Ryan Smith close behind - although he really should be playing on the left so he can use his pace to get round the defender and then cross whilst on the run, instead of him having to cut back each time when he plays on the right. I really can't see why people don't rate him, he does the most important thing that NONE of our other wingers do, and thats run with the ball at the defender and take him on. IMO he's our best winger.
  21. for **** sake, how retard is everyone!! It wasn't ****ing Primus you ****. Primus has retired due to injury. If you have a programme from yesterday, look at the Charlton squad and tell me where exactly it says "Linvoy Primus" on there. For your information, the player was Kelly Youga.
  22. I thought we got exactly what we deserved to be honest. We defended like schoolboys, and that goes for all 4 defenders, Saeijs and Perry won probably 2 headers against Kandol in the whole game, i counted he won 11 in the first half. That is pathetic We also look as if we have forgotten how to mark players over the international period, and like I said, the defending was probably the worst defensive performance I have EVER witnessed as a saints fan. If you can't defend, you won't win anything, simple as. TBH, if they had scored 5 or 6 I wouldn't have been suprised. Davis: 7 - Our MOM, The only one who looked like he wanted it. Thompson: 3 - Out of his depth at right back Saeijs: 2: - His worst performance to date, won sweet FA in the air all day Perry: 3 - Good pro and all that, unfortunately past it. Skacel: 3 - Same old Skacel, get the ball, HOOF! Looks clueless at left-back Wotton: 4 - Can't pass, Can't run, Very poor. Surman: 3 - Offers nothing to the team, very very over-rated Lallana: 3 - (See Surman) McGoldrick: 6 - Cracking goal, showed fight by not giving up. If not for his goals and Davis we'd be down already Euell: 4 - Had THAT chance when it was 2-1 which he fluffed as usuall. Saganowski: 3 - He has got it in him somewhere, but what has he done in the past 6 games - NOTHING. Needs to be dropped in my opinion. Liptak: 3 - Can't even remember him touching the ball. BWP: 6 - Good goal, looked quite lively when came on. Needs to start next game instead of Saganowski. Smith: 5 - Does something none of out other players seem to do - Take players on, should have been put on the left as he would have been able to take the player on and cross the ball easier Wotte: 0 - Completely clueless. We had holes in our defence bigger than the Grand Canyon and he failed to spot it, I also would have started Morgan instead of Wotton. Why put Smith on the Right? He has the pace to play on the left, so then he can take the defender on and cross easier, simple.
  23. what about: Jacinto Ela Eyene Imants Beldidis Andirys Pereplyotkins Kleber Chala Augustin Delgado? (I know the arsenal game but I swear that got put down as an own goal?) Jermaine Wright Morgan Schneiderlin Ali Dia
  24. I love them...am off to Wembley to see England v Slovakia first visit to the new Wembley should be more exciting than watching saints!
  25. well tbh, I think no matter if we win, lose or draw, we're still down and it won't be an walkover, if anything, I think charlton will nick it. The reason I think this is I've seen charlton twice this season, and their centre-backs are 6"3 and 6"2 respectively, and what do we do under wotte?...Hoooooooooooooof- boring and ineffective unless you have a huge lump of a centre-forward, which we do not
