Something has changed with how the Echo report Saints items. Prior to the ban reports in the paper would not appear on the web site until much later in the day. Because the articles the paper now carry are either old hat or pot stirring the web site is producing cut and paste stories almost by the hour.
-
Surely complaints should be sent to the paper's parent company. They may not be quite as relaxed about the situation when they realise that Mr Murray's vendetta is alienating the readership.

DON'T bank on Saints v Pompey being Live on ITV.

Thought ITV were covering FA cup? -
Also if we are to make the playoffs not only do we need to win 14 games but the top 6 need to drop points against the likes LO.

Does the TV money go completely to home club or is it shared? -

I think there were a fair number of posters on here wanting WT as RB since Murty was injured. Hopefully LJ can develop now as a midfielder. -

Also very interesting that the FA cup is now starting to be a real earner. 5th round televised game £247,500, winner awarded £180,000. Also read somewhere that winner of JPT worth £400,000 plus. -

Excellent post. ML and NC have now realised that income for this season is going to be way above budget of that projected a few months ago. If they're plowing that profit back into the playing staff good on them Whatever long term plans ML has for SFC I have a feeling it will be a far better club than he inherited -
After some many ye ars of you know what not isn't supporting our club becoming good fun.

We could get bored with going to Wembley!!!

Of course absolute rubbish. But isn't supporting our team becoming good fun. -
I think any player who is out of contract can sign outside of transfer window. The ruling about playing competitive games for more than two clubs in a season may still apply?
-
Sky are reporting that Southend are denying accepting any offer. Though that's been running for some hours now.Looks like an auction between Leeds and us.
-
Don't be too upset just look at the bigger picture. Total competitive fixtures against Pompey reads Saints W19 D8 L8
-
He's playing tonight. Surely an injury wouldn't be risked if a deal was necessary or close.
-
Must be because he's out of contract in summer.
-
No cash at turnstiles today either
-
Trouble is they now have no access to the management or players at the club and are struggling fill three pages of saints info either side of the tv and radio guide(which prat decided that). It can only get worse and the readership is starting to realise. Yes in someways the club need the Echo but no way near as much as the Echo need the club.

Can't argue with that I wonder how old the FIFA rule is? Seems the daily Mail are quite clear that O'Hara is only eligible for Pompey or Spurs.

Rasiak signed for Spurs from Derby 31 Aug 2005(transfer deadline day) as far as I can make out hid did not play for Derby before transfer. Loaned to Saints from Feb 2006. He only played competitive football for two clubs in that season so did not breach FIFA rules.
-
Sorry to disagree as I understand it FIFA rules state that a player cannot play for 3 different clubs in a season in competitive matches, Whether its loan or registered. Spurs are having to appeal to FIFA because they want to loan O'hara out again. Apparently several clubs are interested in taking him
-
Wish I new how to do these link things but there is an article today printed in todays Portsmouth news.
-
I understand that it is a FIFA ruling that no player can play for more than 2 clubs in a season. Apparently Spuds have appealed direct to FIFA for special dispensation for Jamie O'hara who is not allowed to continue at Fratton and cannot be loaned out again because of the two club rule. Assume FIFA rules would apply to L1.
-
If he definitely can't play for any other club this season then the Echo piece is even more discraceful. They really are a joke they don't know whose injured at the club, players penalty points rules and now how many clubs you can play for in a season.
