  1. Whats he said since May?
  2. Excellent post. A statement from the chairman which should be accepted as it stands. I can hear similar conjecture about AP's future in my local which I wouldn't consider worth posting on here. I think we would all agree that if the results don't go right in the first few months then a replacement is likely.(that also probably applies to every other club manager in the country).
  3. Don't forget the saving on the match day price and booking fees.
  4. Surprised that since the takeover there has not been a word on the use of the stadium for other activities. I thought the club has a license for 3 concerts a year? Perhaps this will be part of the new mans brief.
  5. I don't think they will be this season. NC does not strike me as the sort of person who would go back on this. He would be open to the charge of misleading those who bought a full ticket who would have waited for results in the first half of the season. I could be wrong but couldn't you buy a season ticket at anytime with the cost reduced to accommodate matches missed. Perhaps there will be opportunies to purchase a group of matches with a small discount?
  6. I think there is one thing that everyone can agree about is that NC is definitely running the show and he only has to answer to one man.
  7. The decision to withdraw the plan obviously had an effect and some people had to make other arrangements and unfortunately, a very small minority I suggest, some felt that they had to let their tickets go. What was posted on this Forum in many instances was twaddle(forecasting STs sale of less than 8000, and so called marketing experts on here pontificating how it should be done for instance). What however I find more disturbing is that some some posters want to twist every issue into what appears a hate campaign against NC. Critisism may be justified (not hundreds of obsessive posts by some on this issue were not needed) but I look at our football club now and where it was 12 months ago and on balance I know where I'd rather be.
  8. So 7000 sopporters have not renewed or declined to purchase a ST because of the withdrawal of the instalment plan?
  9. With more than 2 weeks left and perhaps a couple of more signings may well be close to 50% of the gate being ST holders. So much for the twaddle posted on here re withdrawal of the instalment plan.
  10. I could be wrong but I think every Premiership side have over 30's playing very regularly for them. I dont think his club released him - he was out of contract and declined to take up the offer of a further contract. It is true not all signings work but AP's record to date is pretty good. Those that failed to impress had very short contracts or loanees.
  11. Following this good news the anti NC brigade on this Forum will probably give it a rest for a few days.
  12. Probably very confident as their new CEO only worked for the FA until a few weeks ago?
  13. Even if the Spanish world cup side turned out for us against Plymouth I still wouldn't put any money on Saints winning a first match of any season.
  14. Quite correct but the purchase of the club was the idea of NC which he put to ML as a prospective investment. ML came on board with the condition that NC had complete control and ran the show. Without that the deal would not have happened. I am convinced that if one pulls out so will the other and they will go together. The 5 year plan will become the sell off plan. Be careful what you wish for because who knows what could follow.
  15. Have you also noticed there is never a mention of the Millions that have already been spent on players but lets not let all the facts get in the way of letst get NC out campaign.
  16. Very true but I would like to see how far ML is going to take us and surely we see the state of other clubs who have been taken over and not for the better. All we would need is a new owner who takes over with borrowed money for instance.
  17. No I think they will walk together. The 5 year plan becomes sell the club plan. Remember they bought a bargain and they could probably walk away now and at least break even.
  18. I've noticed that the obsessionals on this Forum go very quiet for a few days following any positive news coming out of the club(i.e the signing of Richardson). Some of the posters appear to have progressed from understandable critiscism to organizing a hate campaign. We're not yet back to the RL vitriol but it's certainly building. As I understand it if NC walks so will ML which would be a shame because I for one hope to enjoy the ride for the next 5 years at least.
  19. Would the PL still have to pay up the parachute payments for the next three years if the club was liquidated?

  21. I suspect that in the current climate police charges are likely to be considerably hiked. It seems to to me that the club is looking at all areas where savings can be made or additional revenue generated, the exception being in investment to the playing squad/training facilities. Leaving the road open may delay getting back to the city centre by a couple of minutes. I'll live with that with a successful football side.
  22. Stopped buying the Echo many months ago but still used look at their web site quite regularly for any meaningful information. I've even stopped doing that in the last couple of months as I realised that information now being given out is already old news or pure conjecture.
  23. To be fair I don't think we are too far away. Dickson and Richardson have come in and Aaron Martin certainly looked good enough in the few games he played in last season. Also Oxlade-Chamberlain may start to feature more often. The return of Antonio or a signing of someone similar would be useful. One thing I'm pretty sure of is that AP will come out with a statement when signings in this window are complete(he did it in January). Until then I would expect to see additional faces.
  24. Without the 10 point deduction wern't we just 3 points off automatic promotion?
  25. Apologies Dave but I'm still confused whether you are a season ticket holder or not?
