  1. On current form it is very hard to see how we will avoid relegation. If we are relegated there will obviously be even less money coming in. Gates are already falling dramatically. Less money will mean more players on loan whose loyalty altimately will be elsewhere. Clearly things are as bad as they have ever been at Southampton football club. If things are allowed to continue how long will it be before we go into liquidation and are another club who have points deducted ? Even survival in div 1 would be very difficult. As a saints fan I am saddened to have to think like this, after all this is a great club. We never had loads of money in the past but often would buy wisely and were well manged. We need somehow to stop the rot NOW. The club needs to take a long hard look at the way they have done business over the last few years which I believe quite frankly has been appalling. We need a huge shakeup from the chairman down and as passionate supporters we need to demand some change. Clearly for the good of this football club there has to be changes Now while there is some time and enough games to at least survive this season.because with this current set up
  2. What is our plan A?
  3. I really hope we are not relegated this year but do fear that the downward slide is continuing. Following today's result we have what until recently we would have considered two potential bannana skins. Rotherham and Doncaster away. Suddenly these two games have taken on great importance and they are BIG games for us. What can really help stop the rot is firstly progressing in the carling cup. This will obviously bring in some much needed cash and boost confidence. It is also quite possible that a championship side could win this competition. Secondly a good result at Doncaster could do wonders for confidence and make the league table look a little more comfortable. I am of course looking on the bright side. The next week will be an enormous test for the team. I am sure Rotherham and Doncaster are well up for this I just hope that we are.
  4. We seem to be in an even worse position than last season. We are struggling in all our games with the exception of the Derby game. How many times has kelvin Davis been man of the match? Ipswich may have been one of the fancied teams but look at the table, they too are a struggling team and surely a team that we should be beating at home. Last season we did beat most of the better teams. So far this season has been very disapointing and I cannot see where we are likely improve without big changes. There was a time not so long ago when playing teams like Ipswich and Birmingham and certainly Blackpool would have been a banker home win. Frankly our club needs a good shake up! It needs to happen now while there are enough games left to put things right. Rupert Lowe coming back--- Bad move Releasing Nigel Pearson ---Bad move Selling Andrew Davies---Bad move This is a great club with great supporters who deserve so much more.
  5. Another really bad result. I have to say that for the first time in nearly 40 years as a saints fan I have not been looking forward to this coming season. I feel that we blew the main chance of our doing anything this year when we let Nigel Pearson go. It's also not surprising that so many ex saints players score against us as the current policy is to sell anyone who shows the smallest amount of promise. I do wonder how a policy like this benefits the club and you have to ask the question as to where the money has gone?
