  1. Rumours are that hes going to QPR. http://www.click-manchester.com/sport/manchester-united/1217169-qpr-target-manchester-united-ace-berbatov.html?
  2. http://www.qpr.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~2771616,00.html - Cat 1 status confirmed. - Thats why I said to come, the owner has confirmed it will happen - Thats an idiotic thing to say, especially from someone who thinks saints need an eleventy gazillion seater ground. - Training ground to open next year. Im delighted with the progress and foundations being built seeing as out owner has not even been here a year.
  3. New training ground New cat 1 academy new scouting structure involving hundreds of scouts new 45k stadium with roof to come Everything has been sorted within 1 year of Fernandes arriving. Saints are trying to do it the Norwich/Swansea way and I do think QPR got it wrong last season and Warnock splintered the squad by signing SWP and Barton. Im sure Saints fans want to sign big names but it causes problems signing someone on 2-3 times the other players wages especially if they arent actually that good. Saints will be ok if they go down, WHU will not if they are throwing £17m at players like Carroll.
  4. No, Tony Fernandes has already come out and said hes going nowhere. Blackburn offered to double his wages too. You can have SWP though!
  5. I felt the same way about the dell, a proper ground but clearly its time had passed. Were look at a 45k multi purpose ground with a roof, hotel etc Finding land in w12 is hard and very expensive but at least weve been told its going to be 2 tiers and close to the pitch. I hope its all true because most of the stadiums in the last 15 years have no real identity apart from Arsenal but thats very quiet and sterile.
  6. You said "It is hard to compare Staplewood to for example man Utd's. Staplewood is going to be brand new and high spec, where as Man Utd's training ground is now largely constructed 12 years ago (they have added and improved but still is largely the same). Man Utd's is larger than Staplewood, but Staplewood is more modern." It will be more modern simply by being built later. You listed that as a plus against Man U so Im just doing the same thing. I counted 8 pitches, QPR will have 11 plus 10 community pitches. They also have designated GK training and 7 pitches in different sizes for the u10, u13, u14, u16, u21 plus a 3g pitch, not sure if Saints have that. https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&pid=sites&srcid=ZGVmYXVsdGRvbWFpbnx3YXJyZW5mYXJtaW50ZXJlc3Rncm91cHxneDo3MjIyZDAxZDg0NjI5Y2Ux You are really digging yourself into a hole here.
  7. Stoke are getting Cat 1 as are QPR and Norwich, its going to be the standard. Staplewood is better than QPR but not the facility that will be built in 12 months time. http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city-fc/norwich_city_in_good_health_says_chairman_1_1134222 http://www.fcbusiness.co.uk/news/article/newsitem=1798/title=qpr+reveal+plans+for+new+training+ground http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/news/news/stoke-announce-6m-training-ground-expansion.html
  8. The station cant be used because its a dead end and not on the main line, all trains would have to back up to carry on to their destination. It would only be of use if it was already on the main line and just needed a station to be built.
  9. Age is factored into it plus the general consensus is saints overpaid a lot for JR and hes not worth the 6-7m paid. I looked at the QPR valuations and think they are overpriced if anything, especially the older players under £1m.
  10. You guys havent even heard the worst stuff. An undercover reporter went through the training and he wasnt vetted, during the training guns ammo etc got through the screening and they are only going to search 1 in 5. So a terrorist would have a 80% chance of getting anything he wanted into a stadium. Also lots of the staff couldnt even speak English so basically we have football type stewards protecting us from a potential attack. When the gov asked them to double the amount trained, G4 wanted 9 times as much money and the gov handed it over. Its almost like they want it to be as inept as possible so an attack will happen.
  11. Wheres the roof? Good job Mittals business is steel as we can get the raw materials at mates rates!
  12. The ironic thing is you could have gone for a top quality bigger stadium that included other revenue streams and not paid any more since most of the debt was wiped out.
  13. Park pays for himself with the merchandise that will be sold in Asia as hes huge there. Also we are expected to announce an all purpose 35k stadium with retractable roof and seating on Monday which should help pay the bills.
  14. Yes, for £2m which is a bargain.
  15. QPR signed Park and Fabio from Man U instead.
  16. Flyer

    Games on TV

Fulham will struggle to bring 60 for that!
  17. Exactly this, Hes played all his games at RW with the exception of playing both RW and RB when we went down to 10 men and sometimes playing LW. Never up front.
  18. He didnt play up front all season so was on the wing every game. signed a new contract a couple of months ago so I think they are making it up as usual.
  19. QPR have put in a bid thats been accepted, Saints have to match that for him to go to SMS. If they dont match then he either goes to QPR or stays at Vitesse. Saints are not in a position of power here.
  20. Because clubs get relegated by not putting the money in the team, Wolves, Blackpool and WBA spring to mind in recent years. You could be lucky and become a yoyo club like WBA or stay down and never get back up again.
  21. Every team does this. For example QPR were trying to sign Giroud and he said: "There is another coach that I met and that’s Mark Hughes, the manager of Queens Park Rangers, where he has a big project. "But Arsenal, and not QPR, is one of three or four biggest clubs in England. Not yet, anyway. " after seeing the plans for the future.
  22. They say Reading are better equipped to stay up yet the odds are worse than Saints so the article makes no sense. Especially as all bookies have Saints and Reading finishing 19th and 20th.
  23. Saints have just taken the worst kit in the PL title off QPR! Thats horrendous, reminds me of the old liverpool or forest kits. No identity at all. Plus youll need a 3rd kit as well.
  24. Hes a left wing converted to LB. Fulham had a joke bid refused and QPR had one accepted and are apparently in "advanced negotiations" with him according to the dutch sites.
  25. He did, He scored about 1 in 4 which is very good for a winger who defends as well as he does. Not one person on our forums thought we should sell so if gives you an idea of how silly we thought it was. Maybe the rumour monger got him mixed up with Barton! Saints are 4th favs to sign him.
