I think the same and I think it will be easy for the FL to side with the majority so that mean Saints will be penalised. If it goes to court, they are only up against 1 team, if no penalty is applied. They could be up against 5-10 teams.
-
Theres a good chance of getting away with it as thats what Derby did, in effect they didnt gain by admin. If any debt is wiped off, Im pretty sure the points penalty will apply.
-
Thats what Ken Bates thought. If Saints are let off, there will be legal action from at least half a dozen clubs, the ones who have been in admin and the ones who get relegated because there was no deduction. Its much simpler for the FA/FL to take off the points and then deal with one club should they want to fight it.
-
If these made up the debt, Saints would have a case. Since 100% of the debt is from SFC, I expect a deduction of 10 points plus another penalty deduction for trying to fiddle the rules.
-
Hes only done that because hes going to takeover the club and couldnt still be in a position there because it would be a conflict of interest!

Could the financial plight of SLH drag down Notts County with it?
Flyer replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
The only way Co. wont get their money is if Saints are liquidated. -
Dont forget the extra -17 that most clubs get too. It could be -27 points in L1 unless Saints finish outside the bottom 3 by 10+ points.
-
Very risky trying to dodge league rules by putting the parent company and not the club into admin. The FL could take off more points next season (if Saints get that far and end up in L2).

Warning to all that travelled via the M6 toll for Blackpool!
Flyer replied to Hunty's topic in The Saints
Isnt it more likely someone working for Abbey is in collusion with someone working at the toll? Was it a Nigerian prince working at the toll? Im really surprised the police cant do anything, obviously the money or info had to be sent somewhere, surely that would lead to the fraudsters? -
And the last away game at Loftus Road, he scored after 30 seconds and in the 2nd half too.
-
Theres just under two million reasons.
-
I see him a lot more than you do, I just read that its £1.7m if they stay up which is a very good deal, even if he is QPRs top scorer despite only playing half a season. Selling him and buying BWP cost saints ~£3m.
-
Forest have just signed Blackstock on loan for the rest of the season, it would be highly ironic if he kept them up and meant that Saints went down. Rumours are they will pay £2.2m for him to make it permanent, I think forest will stay up now.
-
or QPR who came out of admin in more debt than when they went in, had a loan taken out to a Paraguay loan shark which was secured on the ground for £10m less than it was worth and included £1m a year interest. Also the administrator became a company director of the loan sharks as soon as we came out of admin. It can get a lot worse, believe me.
-
Whats so bad about that? Im amazed we finally scored!
-
QPR had more shots, more shots on goal, more corners and more possession. It was a boring game, neither side deserved to win. The ref bottled 2 nailed on handball decisions, one for each side in the 2nd half.
-
Just checked, hes in the squad for tomorrow as are any other loans in today.
-
Dunno, I thought it was 5pm Friday, theres also talk of Dos Santos joining as well. Maybe its Harrys plan to loan out his players to anyone playing Saints that week!
-
I wasnt feeling too confident until I saw Harry has just given us the Moroccan Zindane on loan, Adel Taarabt. So I think we can now get something out of the game.
-
If you think they were bad then, look at the Norwich goal on the virgin site, pure comedy.
-
You must have seen us play recently, we just cant score but we dont concede that many either. Saints have scored more goals than QPR and weve conceded 11 less than the leaders.
-
Isnt that what a club scouting network is for? Clubs should be banned from paying agents, any cut should come out of the players money. Either that or ban them altogether, the leeches arent needed.
-
It could go wrong, eg go into admin this season and then get relegated by less than 10 points or dont go into admin this season, easily get relegated and start next season on -27 points!
-
Unlikely to be promoted this season so it could mean a 3rd season in L1. You think its bad now, just wait until you see L1 games where everyone plays hoofball.

IF we had appointed a decent British manager after Portvliet
Flyer replied to Mole's topic in The Saints
I bet the above also have many more relegations too. De Canio wasnt sacked, his father had just died and he was homesick. QPR have hardly spent any money, we made a transfer profit in the summer. If youre good, you will do well. Martinez has proved that. What foreign managers have failed apart from the Dutch duo and Vialli?
