  1. He even owns a racetrack and team.
  2. Robert Mugabe.....and he will pass the FAs fit and proper person test.
  3. On the plus side, I dont believe Sky are allowed all of the Prem football blocks of games, they have 5 out of 6 already. So if Setanta go down and hopefully they will. the BBC, ITV and maybe ESPN will battle it out for the last block and it would be great to see FTA games.
  4. We were where Saints are now 5 years ago, in admin in L1 and it took 3 years to get out of it. In fact, Saints demise is following the exact same route. Get relegated, almost go up the next season, stay up on last day of following season, get relegated again. If it carries on the same, youll have a mid table finish, playoff final loss and then auto promotion. As for Magilton, Ive picked later October and no one has him there past Christmas. The fans dont want him and he will have to be in the top 6 all season or it will get ugly.
  5. We didnt want to become a Chelsea. We have fantastic deals off the pitch which are better than a lot of prem clubs, shirt sponsor went from 25k to £5m, £5m for the kit maker, £1m for Santander and Chronotech. So flav is trying to make the club something than can run long term rather than spending £20m and maybe failing to get to the prem. Weve also got a nice big screen too which is on the away end roof. Were only 2 players short of a playoff team which unfortunately I doubt we will get. As for Magilton and Gorman, hugely underwhelming but they might surprise us.
  6. If they struggle, they can sell Torres, same for Gerrard. They have assets to cover their running. When they cant act as a going concern, the club would have to be sold (clubs debts like Man U and Liverpool arent as a result of the outgoings exceeding their incomings like Saints or Leeds, they are because huge sums were borrowed to buy the clubs in the 1st palce) or the banks would take ownership of the club which is making profit (bar the debt borrowed from the banks to buy the club) I dont think people should be allowed to borrow huge sums to buy a club like the yanks have done. I highly doubt any club will go into admin in the prem, it will be a Wigan, Bolton, Spurs etc should they get relegated and then the outgoings exceed their income.
  7. The difference is Man U can pay it back, Saints couldnt. It doesnt matter what the debt is, if you can pay it back, the banks will be happy. If you cant pay it back, the club will go into admin.
  8. Its actually a good rule the the FL/FA get funds from transfers, otherwise 1 club going into trouble could have a knock down effect if it owes 2 or 3 clubs, these could go under and if they owe clubs money.... Im sure if it was the other way round, the OP would want Saints to be paid to keep them out of admin.
  9. No, thats only when the young players contract is expiring and he leaves on a free, a fee is then decided by a tribunal. I believe Dyer had a contract next season so its a usual sale.
  10. Theres no logic to it, if it happens in the cup, the other team gets awarded the game and goes through. If it happens in the league, the other team who suffers doesnt get anything, if they are going to be consistent, the other team should be awarded the game and 3 points if they lost or two more if they drew.
  11. Palace fielded an ineligible player and they got a point from that game, so that point has been wiped off. Its fair. Now what would have happened if Sheff U had been deprived of promotion based on the 2 points dropped in that game. Surely the FA/FL should have some kind of arrangement where the team sheets are sent to the FA/FL for approval before the game starts and this would never happen again.
  12. Theyve already bid £2m for Blackstock, are they trying to start another Saints old boys team up there.
  13. Nothing, I think now any player that wants to leave could leave on a free if they arent paid. Youd have thought theyd accept anything for Dyer if it meant paying the players wages and holding onto their contracts. Sucks for the normal staff that they cant pay their bills now.
  14. Lets hope it doesnt follow the Fisher site. http://www.fisherathletic.co.uk/ Look at, "at a glance"
  15. More to the point, why are they still governed by the Welsh FA, virtually every red card and suspension is overturned. If they play in our league, they should play by our rules.
  16. Remember the FL accountants found something in the books and Saints withdrew their co operation to them and wouldnt let them investigate? As soon as I saw that, I thought there was something else that was dodgy and it was trying to be covered up.
  17. ITV would often not even show all the CCC goals, at least the BBC will do that. As long as we get a MOTD for the CCC, Ill be happy.
  18. Thats still very stupid when they could collect the full amount or repossess it and charge rent. I think the mortgage will still need to be paid off as usual. Remember, its Frys job to get the creditors as much money as possible, not to get Saints the best deal and obviously getting the stadium at half price is the best deal for Saints, not Aviva. I dont see Aviva writing off 13-14m unless the club is wound up and no one wants that to happen.
  19. So does it make sense to you that Saints get a free stadium thrown in? Does a man who goes bankrupt just get given his house for free? Give me reasons why Aviva would write off tens of millions rather than rent out the stadium to Saints? The overall buying price would be cheaper meaning there would be a better chance of the club being sold.
  20. Id be very surprised if the stadium is including in that. Why would Aviva wipe off so much of the debt when Saints are still in business? Theyd be better off repossessing it and renting it out as an income stream that will never end. Sounds to me like hes saying they need £6m for the overdraft, £1m for the farm and the rest for the shareholders of the club so hes only valuing the club at £7m.

The FL have decided SFC are in something akin to admin and can punish the club as if it is in admin itself, there will be a -15 if the tax man is owed anything because there will be no CVA if that is the case.

Havent a clue, Im just relaying what I was told. Maybe thats when the funds have to be there for the payments to start being processed, if the funds arent there by Saturday, they cant get their usual salary.

I spoke to someone who has a friend who works at SMS, they were told that if they arent paid by Saturday. Dont bother turning up for work again. Could be right, could be wrong but Im just passing on what I was told.
  24. Its already in the process of happening with the PL2. Team will be handpicked to go into that so Leeds would get in instead of well run smaller teams like Burnley, Swansea or Donny. They want reduced promotion and relegated, perhaps to 1 team up, 1 down. I think it would kill off anyone not in those leagues.
  25. Boro are in big trouble if they come down, they had a must win game and there were thousands of empty seats available. I think any long term prem team that comes down will get into trouble now and I think WBA are the most likely to go back up because Boro and Newcastle will have to dismantle their teams with all the good players leaving.
