  2. For all those of you who use Firefox, I recently uploaded a new Firefox Persona (theme). If you want to show your support for Saints wherever you surf the web, click here! Enjoy!
  3. Yesterday on Twitter, I released a free iPhone wallpaper to celebrate the Birthday of Le Tiss. If you like it, please be sure to leave me feedback. If there's enough interest I will make more in the future. Cheers! http://bit.ly/d3By6B
  4. Tony Meola's full name is Antonio Michael "Tony" Meola (Wikipedia). This is obviously the 'Antonio' Bridgey meant in his thread. Hehe.
  5. Latest post: Cortese not to blame Could get some interesting feedback from this one...
  6. Hi all, Those of you who use Twitter will already know about this site, but for those of you who don't i'd like to introduce a new Saints blog called 'Go Marching In'. I'd really appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to have a look and if you like what you see please subscribe to the RSS feed or follow us on either Facebook or Twitter. Cheers. www.gomarchingin.co.uk
  7. Would it have been that hard for the Echo to delay printing the story for 24 hours? Rather than run the risk of falling out with our new Chairman? Many exciting things are going to be happening to this club in the next few years. Surely it would have made better business sense to stay in the clubs good books, to reap the benefits later?
  8. They make it sound so serious. I'd hardly put the Echo's ban in the same league as Pompey's fight to stay in business - yet that's how the express is making things out to be! Have the Echo issued any sort of apology for the fact they didn't adhere to Cortese's request to hold off on printing the Staplewood article?
  9. This is a bit of setback for me and the project, but only a small one. It certainly won't stop the project going ahead but it just means that with things like the imagery I'm going to have to be a bit more careful with what I can and can't use. Thanks to all of you who took the time to reply. I look forward to bringing you news of updates to the progress we are making with this website and when it goes live, that you all enjoy the content that it will contain. Cheers
  10. Ouch! The agreement isn't cheap either. I must admit I wasn't aware that you needed this, I merely thought you had to make sure you credited the site/photographer it came from. So, that technically means that any site that copies an image of first team action from another website has no right to do so. Where is the line drawn though? There are countless websites out there with football pics on them and they obviously don't have this Dataco agreement. As a graphic designer, if I was to take an image, recreate/modify it in to a completely new image, i'm ok to publish that aren't I? Because that's my own work, and there would be none of the original image in it? Thanks for your input Minty. Appreciated.
  11. Hi all, i'm wondering if any one can help me or point me in the right direction please. I'm in the process of working on a new website project - dedicated to our great club - which promises to add to our already fantastic online community. In order to achieve this i'm looking for any websites and photographers (I know there are some very good photographers on this forum) who have high quality up to date imagery of the Saints first team in action. Full credit would be shown on every image to whoever took it (with a link to their website - if they have one) and if they're not willing to part with them for free, the project does have a small budget which may be able to afford to pay for some. I have checked the official Saints FC Pics website but it's quite frankly terrible and doesn't offer the option to buy them digitally - only framed. The Echo isn't much help either, they do have a section for buying pictures - but only up to the 90's and they don't offer digital purchases either! Any help that anybody can give towards this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time! Message to Admins: This website project is going to be promoting the Saints Web Forum in a prominent position on each page of the site. Can you put me in touch with someone who can provide a hi-res copy of the SWF logo please.
  12. This picture can't be right? These cavemen have the right number of fingers and toes!
  13. It's difficult to say on the website cost thing. Someone mentioned that Pompey's ticket sales were done on another website, so if they didn't need secure servers to do things like process payments for tickets then it would cost less than if they did it themselves. They may have employed a couple of members of staff to maintain their website. However, they wouldn't take their own website offline - even if they were in administration. It's more likely that they pay a company to host and maintain their website and due to non-payment, this hosting company has pulled the plug - and rightly so, clients not paying is a right pain in the Gary. Pay up Pompey, Pompey pay up!
  14. Yes, he's now available for tomorrow's game.
  15. Official Saints FC twitter account has just confirmed Morgan's ban reduced to 1 game. Woop!
  16. Hi guys, I am so glad there is a Saints club, i've been trying to join a club because i'm tired of all the "little-kiddies" and the "i'm never going to pass the ball" attitude when playing ranked games with your Pro's. I'd like to be included in the team please, you're all welcome to add me: Gambo86 I normally play Left Midfield, but will happily play anywhere in the centre or at the back. Also have microphone and am probably available 2-3 nights a week to play!
  17. Just reading all the reports on various websites and watching it on SSN. Having seen Liebherr take over on Wednesday, secure player of year Kelvin Davis' contract immediately and sacking Wotte before the end of play today, do you really think he's the sort of person who would only now start thinking of replacements and drawing up a list of candidates? Don't forget pre-season friendlies have already started, we cannot afford to waste a week looking for a new manager. Liebherr was interested before Pinnacle gained exclusivity, that was a month ago - he would have had ideas of who he wanted back then and I would bet my life that he's already been in contact with his 'preferred choice' since then. It's funny how money changes things. When Pinnacle were leading the race to take over the club certain names were put forward by fans but I had my doubts as i'm sure most of you did. We're all guilty of thinking "they'd never come to us in League One" etc etc. But now we have a billionaire owner, every option i think of is now feasible. Anything is possible. Money changes everything, modern day football is a perfect example of this. I have a sneaky feeling we could hear tomorrow who our new manager will be. Us fans should get used to things getting done quickly and efficiently, because lets face it - you don't become a billionaire by ****ing about and making bad decisions. Since Liebherr took over i now believe anything is possible - the Saints are on their way back! I have this overwhelming feeling that the one and only Gordon Strachan is going to make a dramatic return to the Club - potentially as early as tomorrow - and i don't know about you, but that thought makes me feel extremely happy!
  18. Have the biggest smile on my face. What a relief and what a renewed sense of belief and hope. The dawn of a new era. Markus Liebherr's red n white Army! Just about to place an order for a new F5 key, they're cheaper in bulk, so who else needs one?
  19. I don't think we're getting a new manager. Not this summer anyway, Wotte stated he spoke with the Swiss bid 4 weeks ago and was very happy with what was discussed. He also wouldn't have turned down the chance to go to Egypt if he didn't know what was happening here. I think he'll be given a chance, even if it's only to allow some continuity and to not hinder season preperations any more!
  20. If you look closely on the left boot you will clearly see a Nike tick. Originally introduced to Rugby the chunky leather boot has been adapted for Football (especially League One). The studs have been shortened and the steel toe cap has been made from a lighter metal, to allow the player more speed. Not on sale till the 1st of September, The Nike:Crunch range is sure to be the boot of choice for the majority of League One players. The boot is also available in white coloured leather - for tarts.
  21. Hahaha, nice one!
  22. wurzel just asked the echo via twitter whether there was a press conference, here is the reply from the echo: Questions are flooding in again, but as is usually the case, no press conference at #saintsfc
  23. this just appeared on Daily Echo site too: http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4466956.Fry__not_surprised__at_Pinnacle_withdrawal/?ref=rss
  24. MB, do you think that has anything to do with the sale of Mcgoldrick yesterday? I hardly think now is the time to be haggling though!
  25. This just posted by Echo on their twitter page and on following trend: #saintsfc "dailyecho There is no #saintsfc press conference scheduled for 2pm today. If there is, no one has told the SFC press office!"
