  1. On the golf front, MT wanted to join stoneham golf club and asked for free membership. When this request was declined he played the "do you know who I am? " card. classy man and this washstand year so not even in the first team.
  2. This is the most laughable comment I have seen for a while. The whole balance of the team changed the moment he stepped on the field. strong , decent touch, decent range of passing and strengthened our midfield no end. He may have been a little too enthusiastic in the tackle and definitely needs match fitness but we were a far more solid side with him in the team than first half. A friend who was in corp hosp in Vitesse spoke with Les Read and he said he was 100% confident that VVD will join saints - that will make a big difference.
  3. Have a few spare tickets for the home end if anyone needs them. Managed to get my tickets for the saints end so they are going spare. I'm in korenmarkt if anyone wants them. Cafe arnhem
  4. Spare tickets for sale in the home end. I'm im Koren markt if anyone is interested
  5. someone must know a site I can use? come on guys, give us some help here.
  6. cant find a stream that works abroad, any ideas
  7. any ad hoc streams for tonight? abroad at the moment so don't want to sign upto sportnation whilst away?
  8. solid enough but no spark again. where are the goals going to come from? a real worry and without goals this team will nose dive. jay rod is the key to our season.
  9. Christ on a bike, you bang on more than Glasgow Saint. Do you ever give it a rest ?
  10. Out of interest you mentioned a couple of times that after the first deal all others will be undisclosed. Now if I was to put my cynical hat on I would say that was because we don't intend on spending all the money we have taken in on sales this summer on recruits in. So I guess the question is do you think we will spend as a minimum everything that we bring in plus the additional transfer pot that was already allocated?
  11. I don't think that matters a jot in this case. They all knew we were selling anyway.
  12. I think the point you are missing that football is a team game with the emphasis on TEAM. Selecting a group of players from saints that have played / trained together as a team would in my opinion get a better result out of the last two England games than we witnessed. im not suggesting that the 11 players would be my starting 11 just trying to provoke some thought to what an England side could achieve with players outside the standard England picks. Clearly if I was selecting a first choice starting 11 a number of the starting 11 would feature but maybe not as many as were on show last night. Yes Ward-prowse wouldn't in reality be anywhere close to a strong first 11. my point is a strong team ethic is more important than picking your best 11 players. how many players in other weaker teams than England have performed better through team spirit and togetherness of a squad?
  13. I know kevin Bond quite well and his view on Sherwood is that he upsets players in the dressing room when things aren't going well. He tends to lose control of his emotions and ends up ranting at players who don't take kindly too kindly to being shown up in front of their peers. For this reason Im Out.
  14. ha ha brilliant, final confirmation if it was needed.
  15. Whilst I don't doubt that this information has come from within the club I am clearly amazed how everyone here takes it as gospel truth and many seem to be turning on Lallana. If this has come from within the club it could easily be released as bad PR for Lallana making it far more palatable for fans to accept it when we do finally accept an offer. It not to far to stretch the imagination to suggest that it could be used to justify accepting a bid lower than we original asked for. personally its hardly a surprise after 12 years at the club with his stock riding high at the peak of his career that he may want to try his luck at a club where he has realistic chance of winning trophies and playing in a better side. The only reason he has to stay is an affinity to saints and the fans but there are even more reasons to go if we are all honest. I think a lot of misinformation is being released by both sides to gain strength in their own position. One thing that looks likely is that he will be gone come August and me for one will chose to look back on Lallana as great player for saints over number of years and that for me counts and deserves respect. Sure he had a few offers coming in from clubs that we might see not significantly better than saints as the time but I am sure if he pushed for a move he would have had better ones. Yes, Lambert scored the goals and was a bit of a fairy story (my second fave player behind MLT) but Lallana runs a close second for me.
  16. my sister renewed season ticket on Wednesday and met ralph K outside in the car park who had a brief chat with her when she went over to say hello. She said its a shame that MP didn't stick around and RK stated that MP repeatedly kept saying he wanted to go to spurs and the only reason he would give was "he had taken the club as far as he could" and absolutely refused to discuss it any further with the board. Clearly he had made is mind 100% up and wasn't going to be swayed regardless of what was offered. Of course RK could just be saying this remove the eat but she felt it was genuine. Not sure this much of a surprise to the level headed on the board here I just hope its not just a house of cards as Saints and MP followed but SRL is the start of a complete collapse.
  17. if he sulks he sulks. What the **** is he going to do after a few weeks? refuse to play for the rest of his contract? sure he may be annoyed for a little but but Christ on a bike life's too short to hold grudges. he will understand exactly the reason why we don't want to let him go. Call me naïve to the ways of modern football but I would hold them all to contract and be ****ed with their mood swings. If they don't play any football, lose their win bonus etc then they will soon start getting their heads around the need to play. Id rather have a ****ed off lallana, lambert, shaw and sniederlin in the team than a happy go lucky championship replacement.
  18. probably because most of your posts are complete sh yte.
  19. what is his win% rate last season compared with Sherwood?
  20. To add some spice to the Cortese destabilising rumours. I know for a fact that Cortese met Baldini for lunch around 4/5 weeks ago in London. The pair were spotted by Kevin Bond who was having lunch at the same restaurant and went over to say hello. Although it wasn't shared with me what they were meeting about even though I pushed for it.
  21. no he said from those ITK not just a bulk standard response to the media from the club.
  22. We are 18 points from a CL place. so the how is " How do we convert 10 defeats or 9 Draws into 18 points (additional 48 available)?" If we kept all of our players in the close season and added some of the realistic options above could we start reducing this number of points required? Unlikely but not impossible maybe
  23. His team of experts are the football coaches around him surely? Who are the doctors physios, fitness / strength and conditioning staff, and all other associated staff members that have roles to play in the physical performance of the team. Who says MP employed them or is someone else responsible for that side of things. Where are you getting the evidence of player fatigue from other than pure guesswork? I agree Rickie is looking tired but who knows whether it is fatigue or injury? I would also suggest that losing Osvaldo hasn't helped taking the pressure of him to physically perform every game ? but to directly attribute that as a reason why we did well for 11 games and then it went pair shaped. To suggest you predicted anything is ridiculous. Its all about your opinion that our performances have dropped because of fatigue due to overtraining and playing a high intensive game. You have yet to show me anything that backs this opinion up other than the marvellous Dr Kucho whoever he is. So please stop the waffling about MP's lack of tactical flexibility & inability to get the best from his squad and give me some evidence that our players are suffering from player fatigue. or as I suspect this is just your opinion that can be conveniently used to add weight to your Anti-MP agenda?
  24. I cant say I've heard of Dr Kucho or seen his qualifications so who is he? He may well be more qualified than most on here but is he more qualified that the saints coaching / medical / fitness teams? what are these clear signs of player fatigue that are directly related to our drop in results? what evidence have you got to other than your unqualified opinion and that of someone else on an internet of questionable experience have that the training methods are not sustainable? im not sure any kind of expert would try and bolster his point on a internet forum by highlighting their observations from uploaded photos. Surely that would be like critiquing lamberts performance from the saintsweb although it seems many do. I thought that in other threads you have pointed to the fact that MP was overrated and responsible for the drop in form? Is MP responsible for the employment of the fitness / strengthening and conditioning teams or is it Les Reed? Have these teams made clear that his double training sessions are unsustainable over 38 games? Has he ignored them? Would it not seem more realistic that a whole range of factors are directly and indirectly affecting our performance. the question is would a change in management (MP) make a significant difference although some people seem to think he is treading water until the end of the season and then leaves. I'm not really sure how anyone can judge that from watching a game and trying to interpret body language.
  25. Its interesting what you tend to believe on the internet. Dr Kucho, you believe because it fits your view, Facebook posts about 8th place finishes you believe because it fits your view. Who is Dr Kucho, what does he know, what experience does he have that is relevant to saints playing / training methods etc. The common theme seems to suggest that you believe any old shyte on the net when it suits and then use it to ram your points endlessly down our throats. I'm no expert on strength and conditioning training but someone who suggests they are less than impressed on what he has seen of video clips / photos uploaded on the net would suggest he is no expert. Surely with the level of performance analysis in both training and game environments using the GPS monitors etc. would quite quickly highlight and drop in performance due to overtraining. At this point wouldn't the coaching experts within the team then based on this information make changes to training schedules accordingly. This isn't sunday league footy with a midweek kick around as a training session.
