I would sell Saga and get in 2 strikers,Eastwood and Craddock.Beckford and Jackson would be better obviously but I have to be realistic on who might actually join us!!We need more support for Lambert and have sold or got rid of John,Rasiak,BWP,Euell and Mcgoldrick.Patterson and White are not ready imo and Lallana is not a striker. If we are scoring 2 or 3 goals a game we will win most games in this league.Good strikers are what we need.Everyone on hear harps on about our defence but with Trotman in we have tightened up at the back.Scoring only 4 goals is not good enough in 5 games.Yes we may be making loads of chances but if are strikers aren't good enough to take them which I think Saga and Patterson aren't we need reinforcements. Do people honestly think Saga is going to score us 20+ goals?I would personally get rid.We need a strikeforce that other teams fear and we haven't got that at the moment

Totally pathetic and ruined my saturday.We should be beating teams like this and I'm fed up with the excuses.I'm starting to wonder if we've got the Pardew of Charlton here and not West Ham & Reading.I bet NC & ML will be patient for a little while longer but I do think if we haven't got a couple of wins by October ,AP's job will be in serious jeopardy. I want AP to be sucsessful as we dont need more change but I bet ML hasn't bought this club to be relegated.It might just mean the cheque book is opened slightly more than they planned over the next 3 days.Hers's hoping. Coventry fan came onto our 606 board saying he heard we're in for him.Who knows if he has genuine info or is just a wum but as the rumours are very difficult to get these days with the new regime it is normally fans from other clubs who 1st break the stories these days like Lambert. If we could get him for £750k or less I would be very happy with this signing as I think Freddie could do with a new challenge and he was prolific in the lower leagues.So maybe there could be some truth to this rumour as Coventry are trying to sign a new striker

Hope AP and NC are very busy tying up deals as we speak as we really already needed a winger(Gradl possibly),cover right back(ifil rumours),centre back(Jaidi). Now we need at least 1 striker/2 if Saga goes as we cant rely on Lambert,Patterson and White as we would only have 1 proven striker and 2 novices!!If Lambert got injured we would get relegated imho without cover.A striker must now be a huge priority before Tues.Yes we could get a loan in but I'd prefer a few permanent signings and not all loans!! If Morgan goes we could also do with another central midfielder as we don't want Wotton playing there every week!!We could get Ifil in and then use James in midfield and Thomas as cover at right back. So we need at least 4 additions to have a competitive team/squad for this league. Lets hope we can get the right players before Tues

Looks like it will be a very busy few days then if Rasiak,Saga & Morgan leave. I would then expect another 4 players in maybe 5.I think we are currently working on another centre back with the no 6 shirt not being allocated and a pacy winger.we will need 1or 2 new strikers if the Poles leave,a right back to cover Murty unless they are happy with Thomas & James covering that position.If james then they would need another central midfielder to replace Morgan. Have a feeling that it will be a very busy transfer deadline day although we may well use the loan system for a couple of the needed players after the transfer deadline

Can't believe Notts County have given a 34 year old a 5 year contract.Absolutely crazy by them and one I'm sure they will end up regretting.Delighted we didn't sign Campbell if he wanted a 5 year deal

So it looks like we still have another 3 to 4 players to come in before transfer deadline day if the Poles leave. I notice that Trotman got the no 12 shirt and 6 remains free.So expect another cb.I still reckon it will be Jaidi. AP wants more pace and wing play to provide the chances for Lambert so I expect a player to come in. If the Poles leave I would expect 2 new strikers hopefully 1 with pace.I wonder if there is any truth in Saga to Leicester and us enquiring about Gradel.Apparently we wanted Oakley back but were told to forget it!! Intrigued by AP's comments that fans will better understand where we are heading in 3/4weeks.Is something we're not expecting about to happen.Couple of bigger name signings,Dof,loan signings or just the team gelling and starting to win some games!? So how many signings do other people expect before tdd?

Assuming we don't get promoted this year how many players will still be around in 12 months time who AP hasn't brought in for next seasons promotion push(hopefully). I reckon he will bring 1/2 more this window Another 3/4 in Jan And Another 4/6 next summer to build his squad. I reckon Thomas,Perry,Wotton,Rasiak,Saga,Pulis,Molyneux and Boyle will all have gone. James,Gillett,Lallana,Holmes and Morgan have it all to prove this season The only ones I would confidently say will be at least in the squad if not the 1st 11 are Davis,Mills and Patterson.Gobern and Thompson should still be in the squad. Shows there is much rebuilding still to be done over the next 12 months.Will be interesting to see who is left as I bet there will not be many

To the ITK's.Are we still trying to bring in more players or is that it as AP said earlier this week that he wanted to bring in a couple more before the end of the transfer window which he has now duly done? After Swindon did his attitude to bringing in more players change possibly I still hope to see another centre back,a winger and a pacy forward.Any truth in these Sodje & Holland rumours.Someone on the Echo site reckons Holland has been offered a 1 year contract if he proves his fitness. So far have any of the rumours actually happened as Harding,Hammond,Mellis and Trotman were on no ones radar until the day they signed!! Any news on Saga & Rasiak leaving?Or are they now staying?Both will need replacing if they go. Are further additions now dependent on them leaving?

Sounds a decent centre back at this level.Surely he must be a lot better than our current centre backs.I wouldn't be surprised if we are trying to get a permanent signing in at centre back too.I reckon after the last 2 performances AP has deceided we need 2 centre backs and decided he couldn't wait any longer and had to at least get a loan signing in this week. He may be unable to sign the centre back he wants till January and that is why he has gone for a loan signing.I also think AP hasn't totally given up on Jaidi yet.Does anyone know if he is still training with the squad? Hopefully this will be the 1st of 2 centre backs arriving.Also hopefully a new right winger and a pacy forward if the Poles leave and then I will feel hopeful for a better rest of the season.

2 centre backs ,a decent winger,Hammond and 2 strikers if Rasiak and Saga leave is the bare minimum we need. I fear if AP doesn't achieve this it will result in his own head in 10 games time when he is sacked.I worry about all the comments from the Charlton fans and warnings they have given us are currently ringing very true about AP.It's still early days and I hope he is given enough time as we don't need to keep changing managers.But with players playing out of position,subs not used to the final seconds and reading comments from Saints fan who we there questioning AP its worrying times. I imagine if we still haven't won after 10 games that NC & ML patience would have run out aswell as the fans!!Let's hopt things start improving on Saturday. Surely they can't get any worse can they!?

When will the pain end!!!?? I now really fear that all this season will be is a relegation battle Hopefully the planned buys in January have now been moved forward to next week.Two new centre backs,Hammond and 2 wingers and 2 strikers all required.Other than Davis all of last seasons squad should be ditched from the first choice 11.Players like Lallana,Morgan,wotton,James,Lancashire and Thomas aswell as the 2 Poles if they don't want to be hear.The best any of them should be is on the bench.We need another younger right back for when Murty is injured aswell. I doubt we will get 6/7 more signings but I bet we see more than 1 more after Hammond.I hope he has actually signed tonight because after seeing how shi*e we are and with Colchester still top he might reassess his decision!!! I am so bloody angry.Will probably avoid the Brenford game now unless about 3 signings are made and wait until we actually start having a team to be proud of again.I'm certainly not that tonight!!

This better be the last game this season we see Wotton and Lancashire in the 1st 11.If not I'll start to wonder whether the Charlton fans are right about AP I hope not but we really should be doing 100 times better against a side like Swindon.I really thought he would get a better reaction from the side after Huddersfield but obviously not.I hope he now goes to ML & NC and asks for another 4/5 signings as obviously most of the players from last year are not even good enough for Div 1(pathetic)

We will find out alot more about our side tomorrow night as the majority of the side have something to really prove after Huddersfield to prove it was a 1 off and they are good enough to challenge in Div 1.Players like Thomas,Perry,Lallana,Morgan and James.I don't include Wotton as hopefully he will be dropped as we all know he is not good enough. I also heard AP on the radio.Will be disappointed if we only sign 2 more players as we clearly need 4 or 5 to have a really decent team especially if Rasiak and Saga leave.We would then need 2 strikers,a centre back and midfield maestro as a very minimum and ideally a pacy winger and another centre back. I fear we are struggling to get the players we want.Lets hope we get a couple of really good players by Saturday because the good feel factor is fast evaporating in the short term.Long term we will be ok but every defeat must make it more difficult to get the right players in. I'm disappointed we're not trying to make the play offs this season as I feel with 4/5 signings we all talk about and we could challenge this season.How many other clubs like Notts County will we be up against next season who get taken over and have money they are willing to spend unlike us at present? Why cant we be ruthless and cancel Molyneux,Pulis and Wotton's contracts and pay them up to get them off our staff and reduce our squad!?Then get in players who are capable of playing in the 1st team.Also send Lancashire out on loan. Hopefully tomorrow we will either win(preferred) or get hammered for the owners to decide more drastic immediate action with this

We are 3 players away from having a competitive team to challenge in this league imo.A big no nonense central defender,a midfield maestro and a pacy striker.(needed this transfer window)Maybe we also need a pacy winger We are then 3 players away from having a side potentially capable of dominating this league.A second pacy central defender,and 2 better wingers than we currently have 1 with real pace.We would also need a back up striker if Rasiak & Saga have left. I have a feeling that certain players will be on the last chance saloon on Tues night and AP will certainly challenge the team for a big reaction to the Huddersfield fiasco.Wooton and Perry must be in this category and maybe Thomas & James In the ideal world we will sign 2 strikers,2 centre backs and 2 midfielders this transfer window but I accept this is unlikely to happen. What midfield position does this colchester guy play that we are linked to?

Perhaps the players that AP wants are not currently available at a realistic price or not willing to join us,Hence why he signed Mellis on loan to wait for the right player in that position. Yes we need new players and AP is fully aware of our weaknesses but what we don't need is more signings like Pulis and Molyneux.I'd prefer him to bring in loans if he can't buy the right players to Jan.I think we have to accept that the season will be a building one and if we make the play offs it will be a big bonus. Lets get the right players in not just any players.This takes more time!!

If we don't get at least 2 wins from Swindon,Brentford and Stockport then we have got serious serious problems this season as none of those sides are likely to challenge near the top. Huddersfield could challenge for an automatic promotion spot so todays result is not too unsurprising.Even with our current team without additions we should be able to beat Swindon and Stockport who are 2 poor sides in this division. If we can't I think there will be 6 or 7 signings before the transfer window as AP etc will decide none of our previous squad are good enough and there would then be the possibility of releagtion this season if we can't win those sort of games so major changes would be needed. Not going to panick on this result but the next 3 will be very telling.

From last seasons team the only player who should be in the starting 11 after August 31st is Davis.Maybe keep Morgan,Thomas and possibly James in the side to Jan if we can't get the right players in.We need 2/3 midfielders,another striker if Rasiak goes and I would replace both centre backs ideally. A pacy striker,brick house centre back,and controlling midfielder are a must to be competitive imo

From what I've heard we may be about to spend some serious money!! I'd expect 1or2 cb ,cm,rm and at least 2 more strikers if Saga & Rasiak go. My guess would be another 4 or 5 signings plus a couple of loans. It could be by the end of the transfer window that only Davis & Morgan are in the side from last years side

I read somewhere that 2 players were having medicals today/tomorrow so another signing may be imminent!?

AP said in his interview in the Pink that he wanted a striker in before playing Northampton.Hopefully a signing tomorrow then!?

With no strikers capable of 20 + goals if Rasiak & Saga leave as expected we will finish in the bottom 2 with our current squad!!!? Yes no doubt AP is working hard to bring players in but I am alarmed that none have arrived and even more alarmed that he hasn't sorted his backroom staff out yet.I really did think we'd have a couple of new players in before the QPR game.Every day that goes past with no movement gets me more worried.We need the right new additions fast I hope in a weeks time things are looking a lot better with at least 2/3 additions and his backroom staff sorted then as long as we have couple of decent strikers the play offs would definately be possible.
