  1. I completely agree, and if we did have a poor run with NA it would have at least given him the slimmest of excuses. So this has to be about transfers and the ability to attract players. There is simply no other possible logical reason. Utterly bonkers IMO
  2. As angry as I am, thought I'd rather focus on thanking NA for everything he has done for this club since taking over. After years of misery, he brought footballing success and happiness to so many of us. I wish him the best of luck and a successful career. Gutted it won't be with us.
  3. We are comfortably above 18th. There possibly (probably) will be transfer activity as there consistently has been every January and summer since we were bought and also since NA came here. The January transfer window might not work, but that's something UEFA are responsible for, not NA or anyone at saints. We aren't penny pinching, having been one of the summers biggest spenders, after being pretty much the biggest spenders outside of the premier league in the last three years. We are closer to signing someone, announcement imminent. We 'need' 2 IMO, not 4. And you can't ignore what other clubs are doing - they need / want their own replacements lined up before selling their best assets, it's a bit like the chain involved in selling a house at times. You really are a miserable cretin. IMO of course ...
  4. Well, that's not very difficult really, is it?
  5. Utter rubbish, he dived. The 'challenge' wouldn't have injured a two year old child, let alone a 6 foot athlete.
  6. No it didn't
  7. Alpine, I normally disagree with you good sir but I have to agree with you on this one.
  8. How is it an offence to tackle??

    Artur Boruc

Look at his 'location'. And then consider whether a sensible, reasoned post was ever likely. Christ there are some morons around this place.
  10. He didnt remonstrate with the ref because he stayed prostrate on the ground for a good few seconds. By which time he'd been given the pen. Seriously, I don't know why people are trying to justify what was clearly a dive. Not the worst dive I've seen, but a dive all the same.
  11. Leg breaker? Seriously?? If he had left his foot in the worst injury he could have suffered was a broken tie nail.
  12. Probably because he fell over thin air?
  13. Lol. But you are entirely wrong, it was a dive. And I'm currently drinking to the three points it earned. Ps, doing block capitals on an iPad is tediously slow so can we give it a rest?
  14. Putting it in CAPITAL letters doesn't mean you're right. I suppose his falling over thin air was to try and win a throw in was it?
  15. I've watched it, and its a dive pure and simple. The notion that he was trying to avoid some horrific injury is ridiculous, the challenge was hardly forceful. A small movement towards the ball by the defender followed by j-rod falling over thin air ... In other words a dive.
  16. Quite simply, no, it is not ok to dive and cheat. In sport. But professional football stopped being 'sport' a long time ago I'm afraid. 90 million quid at stake ...
  17. When we got promoted???
  18. Reading winning
  19. Put someone left mid (fox?) and push gaston in behind lambert.
  20. He wasn't failing early. To compare those with today's is bonkers.
  21. Does anyone else think there's an argument for allocating a champions league spot to the cup winners? In the grand scheme of things I think giving up on this game was the right thing for us, staying up has got to be priority number one, as evidenced by countless other clubs over the last few seasons. But if success meant a champions league spot, surely this antipathy would disappear? Plus it would also mean a greater chance of the 4 English clubs being mixed up a bit more. I think the league is the best barometer of better sides, but as the oldest (and until fairly recently) best club competition in the world, surely we can make an exception for the cup? I just think its sad how all but a handful of clubs give up on the cup nowadays
  22. In which case why bother going to most games this season? We were never likely to win that many!
  23. But this is what you actually wrote, before deciding you wanted to loan him. Why do you want to loan a huge negative on the team?
  24. Why? I thought you said earlier he'd take too long to settle in, making us far too open, leading to relegation, plague, death and the end of the world. Surely loaning a player we don't have time to bed in would be almost as much of a waste of time as 99% of your posts?
