maybe the ploughed field at Brentford didn't suit him either?

merrington, legend. "Saints are in command...GOAL FOR IPSWICH"!
-
he only pushed him in the face becasue the little **** that grabbed him was so short! Soft red IMO.
-
Completely agree.

i should think that 'exceptional circumstances' are if your 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th choices are out injured.
-
I take it that you've forgotten that we sold players as the takeover was in the final stages? I should think that the club was better off financially than the Swiss originally budgeted for, but the playing staff was weaker - hence the investment this season. Our spend this season actually appears to have been quite modest given a large number of frees and loans...

really enjoyed listening to that. I have more confidence than ever in what is going on behind the scenes now at SMS and hope that Pardew gets the chnace to put his plans into action long term

under the radar??? Pulis!!!!?????

Being confronted by Zolas arse would probably be a little scary i reckon!

Agree with this eleven while Murty is injured, bt james and Melis should be swapped around. (Assuming N'Diaye is any good that is...)

Damn ****ing straight. He's out of form through a lack of playing time, however given a run he is a quality player - especially at CCC and lower. I suspect the only reason he is consistently being overlooked is his lack of height, which appears to be an area of the team AP has been most intent on changing. I would like to think that there would still be a place in the team for him, but i have a feeling that barring a plethora of injuies in CM, Gillet will be a bit-part player at best this year.

damn right, i thought he played ok last night too. Wotton is surely out of the reckoning now Hammond has arrived. Fingers crossed![-o

Shocking and embarrasing. Not sure what pardew was watching tonight! Not the same thing i was that is for sure! Kelvin was class, although his kicking was a little off under pressure. I have never witnessed so many aimless hoof balls up into the air. We were crying out for the ball to be kept on the deck and some width. Thomson and Holmes maybe? What the **** was Paterson doing out on the right for most of the game? Melis had a shocker and appeared to supporting Lambert to little or no effect. Quite why AP waited so long to make substitutions is beyond me. Today these players looked like they had never played football before, let alone played together as a team. I hope that Hammond is the player we need to get hold of the ball and dictate the way we play (keeping the ball on the deck and making others create the angles for the pass). What is so frustrating is that we all know that the likes of Lallana & Schneiderlin are hugely talented, they just seem to be intimidated easily and put off their stride. Our team also seems to lack any intelligent movement off the ball and the players do not create space for each other. I feel depressed, not because i don't think things will get better, but because things should not be as bad as they are. It also doesn't help working next to 2 Swindon Fans. Olly Lancashire played well tonight, much better than i expected. Looked more composed on the ball than i have seen him before and looked easily more assured than Thomas at times. Harding did well considering that the Swindon attackers kept doubling up on him. Paterson was very lucky not to get sent off tonight, when he lunged at the Swindon player by the touchline. I had a clear view and i was expecting a red card to come out. At best you could describe it as a 'strikers tackle' but really it looked like frustration had got the better of him. I don't think it has any bearing on what was a crap display, but the Corner that Swindon scored from should have been a goal kick. Even my Swindon supporting friends agreed with me on that. One final point. I can only assume that Wotton is in the team for his size becasue everything else about him is rubbish. He can spot a ball ok, but like many of us who can only dream of playing professionally, he will fail to play that ball 99 times out of 100.

I think we could go 4-4-1-1 - Davis - James - Perry - Thomas - Harding Melis - Schneiderlin - Gillett - Holmes Lallana Lambert Subs: Bialkowski, Lancashire, Gobern, Wotton, Paterson, Rasiak To be fair, that team SHOULD be able to jizz all over a very poor Swindon team. That said, we'll probably loose 5-0!! I'm in for it as i'll be in the town end with the Swindon fans too...
-
Completely agree. We should keep him definitely.
-
Totally agree. He has tremendous ability, if given a decent run in the team injuries permitting. Would like to see him in the team to provide a little more balance so we rely less on the right hand side.
-
Holmes would be able to get plenty of quality crosses in for the front two. If MIlls is fit he would be another option. Both would offer a very good alternative to having every decent attack come down the right hand side
-
6ft 6" and 11st 10? He'd probably snap like twig in a decent breeze!
-
they're busy looking at the rest of the photos!

Signing all our players?!! http://www.sideburns.co.uk/image/24617
