  1. I think he could be an inspired choice, an educated football man who has had success in doing exactly what we are trying to achieve this season. No one knows quite how anything in this world will pan out, but given the choice between an upcoming, educated thinking manager and an old school, typical English "football man" who probably got their jobs on their reputations as a player. I know who i would choose. Lets face it, sometimes Pardew would tie himself up in knots trying to be a be eloquent and clever in his interviews and just come across as a bit of a blagger, maybe it's time a real "thinker" was put in charge.
  2. None of us know how well any manager will do, proven or otherwise. Circumstance and blind luck / good fortune often dictates the success of managers, right place / right time or wrong place / wrong time it's in the lap of the gods. Strachan for example, Crap at Coventry fantastic for us. Whoever it is will have the resources at their disposal to make a proper fist of it. My preference as far as a manager goes would be Mowbray, as his teams seem to play good attractive football, whether that would breed success is anyones guess!
  3. Gutted to have missed that post. What was the jist of that then? What has allegedly been going on?
  4. People were saying similar things about strachan and look how that turned out.
  5. I like what you did there!
  6. Moeny given to people in need, from the taxpayer, should be to feed, clothe and put a roof over the heads of genuine people who need assistance, not be wasted on going to the football by idiots who constantly try and cause trouble bringing nothing to society and acting like ****s. Who have probably never had a job and don't intend to. Perhaps you can tell me why we should hope that the government cuts make a policeman redundant? Someone who has probably worked had to provide for their family and better themselves. The animosity towards the police astounds me as they are just normal people do their job. One day these animals might be grateful of assistance from the police as they are there to serve the public.
  7. Hopefullly the tory cuts will mean the "animals" on the social will not be able to use taxpayers money to attend games. Please note i realise that some genuine and decent people have fallen upon hard times through no fault of their own, however these idiots clearly could not hold down a proper job and must get their money for the matches by other means.
  8. to be fair there were some proper animals ar rge game today in block 43 of the northam. Made me cringe to be a football fan, not the most cerebral bunch for sure and frankly a disgrace when you consider the recent events around the club. In row U block 43 around seat 1108 some proper "hard case" was giving it the most foul mouthed tirade i think i've ever heard anywhere and his pikey chav gorilla girlfriend was loving it. No wonder the police were filmimng with ****s like that around!
  9. last i hear, "Yep" meant "yes"...just sayin'
  10. i will only be alarmed by the lack of a backup for Ricky, a good box to box Centre Mid and blistering Right Winger if we still don't have them when the window closes. Until them i am fully relaxed...
  11. RIP Markus, thank you for saving our club. I hope you enjoyed being part of it, my condolences to your family at this sad time.
  12. champions
  13. We are stonger. This league is weaker. Most of the team are familiar with each other and have no need to 'gel'. I predict more than 83 points and automatic promotion.
  14. he's looking a bit chunky from the photos of the team on tour. But if fit i do rate him.
  15. Thank you, I look forward to more good times in the near future. Coyr!
  16. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1288290/Wolverhampton-Wanderers-sign-3m-Stephen-Hunt-Hull-chase-Mana-Dembele.html bottom of this article Has to be said the Daily Mail have linked him with just about every club under the sun - including us!
  17. it might also be profit from the transfer rather than a percetage of the fee.
  18. who on here could honestly forsee that huddersfield would go on the run they did after we spanked them? If only their walsall result was different the night we also spanked Bristol Rovers, the league could look very different now!
  19. Do people think we will be likely to try and poach Charlton's best players if they find themselves in difficulty? (assuming they don't make it up in the playoffs).
  20. agree. hope he can put the injuries behind him asap.
  21. i laughed in a manic, unhinged disbelieving kind of way
  22. It is indeed!
