Poll: Would you be happy for Pearson to be our manager?
s0108787 replied to St Marco's topic in The Saints
Yes, definitely. Conducted himself superbly at all times when in charge here and has the necessary presence to have the respect of the players who play for him. Would be my top choice for the role. -
I am considering getting a season ticket this year. Having been an occasional visitor to all areas of the ground at one time or another, I would only consider being in the Northam, the rest of the ground is like a morgue most of the time. I prefer the view from the halfway line but the atmosphere is the best part of football matches so i'm the northam all the way. No problem with women and kids being there at all. At least they make some noise unlike those elsewhere in the ground.

i'm hoping to finish 6th right now, anything more would be a bonus

They said 24 hours at about 4:30 yesterday, lets not all slit our wrists yet! -
Anyone got a video of the paul jones save at Old Traffod that DC talks about in the interview? I remember it being better than the banks save too, awsome!

Morally we desreve the deduction, if i supported another team lke leeds or luton i would be pretty hacked off if we managed to avoid it. However as the league stretched the rules in order to punish us i think that from a legal viewpoint we have a very good case against the deduction.

Quite right. Took me six months to buy mine!

depends how they price tickets. If they are competitive for League one i would consider getting one for the first time.

i'd be apprehensive about having mlt as manager due to the potential to tarnish his legacy. However as has been mentioned on here, he comes across as in intelligent and articulate guy. Most 'expert pundit' ex footballers (the Alan Shearers, Alan Hansens and Mark Lawrensons and Andy Townsends of this world) are just capable of of wheeling out the same old tired cliche's time after time, offering no more 'insight' than the average fan can gain for themselves watching the same game. Also, i agree with a previious post that alludes to the fact that a manager utilises his coaches for the more technical elements of the game, in essence an intellectual type of person with charisma and man management skills could be very successful with the right coaching setup. I would trust the intellect of MLT to oversee an effective backrrom team over many an ex pro footballer / current manager. I'm just reading the damned united and it would seem that Brian Clough very seldon got his hands dirty and relied heavily on trusted people to identify decent players, take the traiaing and play the good cop to his bad cop. In essence he man managed and brought all of the necessary elements together in a role that could perhaps these days be considered a director of football...

no.

hopefully with a few clubs interested the price will be a little inflated...

Team for next year, my one luxury being keeping Davis... Davis Hatch Perry Saejs Mills Thomson Gillet James Holmes McGoldrick Paterson I'm not certain if McGoldrick will want to stay, i'm assuming that Skacel, Lallana, Surman, Scneiderlin, Saga and BWP will all deem themselves too good for league one (even if a new owner could afford to keep them...) Gillet and James to provide energy and snap in the tackle in the middle, with plenty of width provided by holmes and thomson. Paterson to lead the line with height and strength, Mcgoldrick in a supporting role just behind running at the opposition on occasion. Mills and hatch should have enough energy to get forward and support holmes and thomson.

If we get relegated i think our team will consist of: Forecast James Saejs Perry Mills Thomson Gillet White Holmes Paterson McLaggon Subs Bialkowski Lancashire Racine Hatch Gobern Molyneux Davies Pernecky I can't see players like; Skacel, Davis, Lallana, McGoldrick, Saganowski, Euell, Dyer, Surman, Wright-Phillips staying around if we're in league one. Obviously Rasiak and John are off too. If we stay up and are taken over by someone with some cash, frankly it is anyone's guess what our squad will be...

i must be honest i agree with you, he was turd just like everyone else. People probably think he was our best player by default as he had the ball at his feet the longest. Never mind the fact that he kept loosing it after a few stepovers or crossing it into no-mans land. I think he has the skills but lacks the mental strength or intelligence to utilise those skills in the right way.

Saga has been let down by the crap hoof and hope tactics aimed at Euell's head. He has no chance in a team playing like Wimbledon of old.
-
Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh 2-2!!!!!!!!
-
he got **** all service against charlton
-
with the ball consistently pumped up to euell's head all game long, i'm not suprised he struggled. one thing i am certain about; if saga had the chances euell did, he would have put at least one away.
-
damn right, he did well, he just needs to be told to get to the by-line and cross from there. The long ball mentality will do us no favours particularly when it comes to crossing. Crosses from deep are too easy to defend.

try the radio hants website

wotte has dropped saganowski! Idiot!!!! Wotton is still holding in front of the back 4 with his zimmer frame. I'd put llod james in the holding role for some mobility and bite in the tackle and take a punt on one of the young right backs like hatch or imudia. I think Thomson is unlucky to be dropped completely - his performance on saturday was admirable given that lallana left him completely exposed and isolated all game. Oh dear, i can't see this ending well...

i'm having trouble with saints tv but the radio hants website is working
