given that home capacity is around 29 k, and we have 23k season ticket holders, I would be absolutely amazed if it sold out on 8 +. For 2003 final tickets all members with 6 got a final ticket. IIRC we had about 18k ST holders, and 25 k tickets for the final. My guess is that it will go at least to 5+, and maybe sell out at that level, but its anybody's guess.

and Bertrand will also be in demand in the summer.

of my previous major semis, Palace was the only one in which we scored, so I am taking tonight as a good omen.( I was there tonight.) Also did Everton, Liverpool FA Cup, and home leg of the liverpool semi.( Mark Dennis masterclass that night).

How Lucas got away with that is beyond me. Worst decision of the night, and there were plenty of bad ones, almost all against us.Great night though, and one in the eye for the doom mongers.

Rotation has been necessary this season, but to leave out three of your best back four for a very winnable game is just a very bad call.

well quite. we are higher in the league than pretty much every club we have a reasonable hope of finishing above. We are in our first semi for 13 years. It could be better, but it could be a lot , lot worse. Jury might be out on Puel so far, but he can reasonably claim to have done a decent job,, given our status, fixture commitments and last summers sales.

The 22.20 is usually only 3 carriages, I think, and always seems to be full, even on a quiet night. And dont even think about it on a night chelsea are at home......

Arsenal 0-2 Saints - Reaction & Semi Final Draw
teamsaint replied to Lighthouse's topic in The Saints
Absolutely. And IIRC leeds had given us a hiding at Elland road in the autumn. And, even if we do lose the semi, better to have at least got there. Ask a Huddersfield fan what even a QF is like......they havent had one since the very early 70's. -
Any release clauses are surely the critical thing here?
-
everything is for sale at the right price.
-
Ok thanks for that.

Can anybody clarify the current criteria for Inter home tickets ? is it general sale, as one part of the website suggests? the ticket website will only let me have one per membership/customer number.

J Rod playing well and scoring a really deserved goal made the day for me. He really can't be allowed to go on loan , surely? Got to credit the manager for the substitutions, I though taking Tadic off was daft, but Redmond did very well when he dropped back, and we were much the better team in the last 25 minutes, despite their goal. Can't say I like the diamond though.

Britten on the Monday before, or Ballet on the wednesday( Giselle) it would seem.

It shouldn't be too hard to improve Everton ,with a big budget. Improving Saints from sixth though is a big ask. This move ought to enhance his reputation, as well as his bank balance, and be a stepping stone to a genuine CL club. It makes sense for him.
-
If his only aim was to wind up, it was a pretty poor effort.

or porkie...

Absolutely. Good seats were £80 for the final in 2003.

I was in the Clock end that day. very hard to take, as football defeats go. Williams shouldn't have played.

How about Carlisle?

It was right in front of us. i don't know if the lino flagged initially, though I think he must have. However, after that the flag stayed by his side , and he seemed happy to let the goal stand, until Tadic came over and seemed to demand that he put his flag (back )up. As soon as he did, the ref disallowed the goal. Thats how it looked from the Kingsland. Unbelievable. Surely if the lino thinks it is offside he just has to keep his flag raised ?

my recollection is that NU got £7m up front, and further payments that were triggered on promotion.

Jeff Kenna and Ian Dowie did some particularly intricate celebrations at one time IIRC
