Agree, he has plenty of class, and will make a decent PL player. He'll never be the quickest, but if he can keep developing his positional sense, he won't get into too many problems. And remember he put in a perfect cross for Shane in the win over Watford.

Well quite. There isn't much truth in politics, but it really is proveable, for better or worse,that historically, Labour and Conservative governements spend approximately the same % of GDP . Under the last labour government, spending only shot up when the banking crisis hit, and in order to save the banks.Which of course was the fault of bankers, not the Unions, public sector workers, ordinary taxpayers, the unemployed, people on minimum wage,or anybody else.

Puel had to make some tough calls on rotation, with a lot of fixtures, and two of our main goal threats from last season gone. Rotation means that players are a fresh as they can be. It also means you'll risk losing something in continuity, and when it goes wrong, it's very easy for critics to point the finger at the rotation. I'd say that his belief in his players, to give them opportunities, had pretty much succeeded. A cup final ( that we might easily have won) with a two leg win over Liverpool, and a win at Arsenal, and a top half finish would be one of the better seasons we have ever had. Not enough for resting on Laurels, but a good season. And he has adapted his formation as his experience in English football develops, and given great opportunities to the young players that we all want to see coming through into the team. He has got it wrong at times( WBA in particular) but it really isn't fair, or sensible , to judge his first season on the odd result.

If they apply any kind of logic, and that is far from certain, people with 3 homes will have a very good chance IMO. My guess is 3 and 4 home on Tuesday,members with current season purchase Wednesday, any current season purchase history Thursday, which would enable the club to get them posted this week. Quite why the didn't go to 4 today and 3 tomorrow is anybody's guess. I would be amazed if there are many ST holders or Members with 5 + who haven't taken up their ticket. 5% absolute tops. My guess is that there will be quite a rush tomorrow, as you effectively have all those who had 3, 4, or 5 before the ticket announcement, which will likely be a somewhat bigger group than the last two days. Looking at the number selling at the number that seem to be selling over the last three days though, I'd be pretty surprised if there weren't quite a few tickets left after the 5's have had their go.

David Hughes scored a couple of crackers. A scissor kick type goal at QPR, and a low drive at home against Man Utd.( in consecutive matches). Anyway, I think Stuart Gray was another OGW, that goal at OT in the cup.

For most of the season, the defence has meant that a single goal scored has been enough to pick up points. But that isn't going to be the case with while VVD is injured. We might get away with it from time to time, but if Yoshida gets a knock we are really in trouble. We could use Bertrand at CB, but then the left side is weakened. Its a really big gamble IMO. I.'m sure Gabbiadini will improve our attack, but it won't make any difference if our defence is shot. Hopefully the club are right, and VVD isn't too bad, and Gardos will step up. but for a relatively small investment they could have picked up a reasonable CB on loan , presumably with the wages saved on Fonte.
