you want to be careful saying stuff like that round here!! a couple of weeks ago i suggested that it might, one day, be great to have a fans owned/run club. Shot down in flames. (It was not, and I am not anything to do with the Saints Trust) I know its idealistic, and will probably never happen, but I bet if such a thing appeared out of thin air tonight, plenty of people would take it. Personally, just behappy to have a club, whether fan owned, or billionaire plaything.

possibly. i do know that , sadly, we have some that you couldn't give away !! (well not with their current contracts still running.) perhaps Pinnacle think we might actually be BETTER off letting all the players go, and getting rid of Rasiak, Thomas etc wages. Althugh I guess thats an automatic 400 point penalty or something.

Anybody know at what point players under contract become free agents if they don't get paid?

how can this league statue thingy be such an issue? clubs like AFCB , Darlo, Stockport, Leeds, luton, Rotherham seem to have been in and out of admin endlessly, with no real question as to their status. we go into admin just once, after a long history of financial stability, and we seem to be on our knees to the FL to take our rightful place in L1. Beats me.

As I understand it, Pinnacle are buying assets (shares)of the existing companies. So its really NOT a new company, in the sense of being a totally new entity. (Like say Bristol city when they went bust) So the only rule we have broken is the one about going into administration. Thus it should be -10 and start in L1. Anything else is vindictive FL nonsense.

I agree.Promotion is not a shoe in even if we get the 10 points. Buy us and move on.

And on the points issue, even in the unlikely event of the -10 getting quashed, theres nothing certain about promotion next season. Anybody with half a brain knows we are looking at the very real possibility of 2 years at least in L1, whatever the points deduction.

Could it just be that here are financial problems with the Pinnacle bid? Its certainly often seems to be the case that takeovers fail when its time to put up the folding stuff.I would have thought that a REALLY well funded bid would be able to buy its way through any problems- and might well put up with the -10 in order to do the deal- after all even without the -10, promotion in one season is far from assured. Perhaps the exclusivity period ran out while they were either a. Still looking for more backing or b. Waiting for just such "problems" to emerge to help drive the price down. There have been persistent rumours thst the £500k was not paid, in full at least, by the pinnacle money man- maybe it actually is a shoestring bid. Hopefully all this is not the case, and the bid is a couple of legal probs away from a great new era for the Saints.

It really is all a bit pathetic(on the part of the FL). If they are so confident, they should allow an appeal, and get their costs. Lots of us invest large parts of our lives in these teams, and they are happy to play power games to boost their egos and bank accounts. I have one of those tickets!!! And I don't live in cloud cuckoo land. I could , if they offered the pricing I suggest, either renew at a premium price, to help the club, or buy a great value ticket in a slightly less good seat. That is a reasonable pricing policy, in my view, not that it matters much , since we don't actually make the decisions other than to buy or not. I agree we should try to reward loyal customers.But there is more than one way to do that.Selling your best products for top dollar is good business practice. Nice doing business with you !

top prices at Leeds and MK dons are £650 ish. Tops at Norwich £448. Rol.leyeyething

I think £300 or under would see lots sold. I would suggest some premium pricing too. Half way £500, Centre Kingsland Itchen £400. Plenty of people prepared to pay for the best seats.
