  1. true..........and the very last thing most of the tories rich benefactors want is free markets.......they like rigged markets. the tories and labour both like public spending, the tories just spend it on EVEN more bombs, tax breaks for their friends, and bloody stupid projects like HS2 and nuclear power stations for their friends in the big engineering companies to benefit from.
  2. if this is true, taking Ipswich's £1m might look like a move in the right direction.
  3. i don't know if this worth pointing out, but if poopey had been run properly since leaving administration, they could have been financially viable, and perhaps challenging around the top end of L1.I imagine the few might have found this fairly acceptable compared to their current plight. Lumpitt has a lot to answer for ..............and him an ex FA man. Tells you a lot about the game.
  4. how on earth does 75 "dent my argument"? i still know which country i would want to be in . 75 to 1(possibly).easy maths, alps. i think the link is a very definite threat. I suspect that is the way Iran will read it.
  5. http://au.ibtimes.com/articles/248543/20111114/israel-threatens-strike-iran-u-s-permission.htm And according to wikipedia, the have over 400 warheads. Thats 400. Iran has none. or just possibly might be building one. If it kicks off, which country would you want to be in?
  6. do you know how many nukes israel have? have you not noticed the threats that they make?
  7. Oh no........ Aaron (Martin) Titus Andronicus Adam (lallana) (as you like it) Antonio(Merchant of Venice) Basset (henry v1 part 1). etc etc. you can Wiki the rest !!
  8. Typo. Meant to say Iran. The US and israel are the nuclear threats , not Iran. Count the warheads. The US constantly stirs things up in a problem/reaction/solution way.
  9. The Sound. Try listening to some. Start with "Jeopardy"
  10. the reopening of the Hythe /Totton/Southampton branch was costed at £3m . Now THAT would be public money well spent. Don't know how much the walkway along side the river from St Denys to Northam cost, but it is a brilliant , and undoubtedly a far better use of public money, per pound, than the £33 bn that the toffs want spending so that they get back to the shire constituencies 20 mins quicker. I would love to see HST all over the UK, but there are far far more important calls on public money.
  11. the powers behind the US throne want a war with Iran. Its just so obvious. As for the nuclear threat, Iran might possibly be able to cobble one warhead together in the fairly near future, and may or may not be able to deliver it with some sort of accuracy. Israel has over 400 warheads. (and just to mention, India and Pakistan have lots also). Iraq is not a nuclear threat. Their president may be a bit off the rails (possibly) but amongst world leaders he is in good company. This is nasty stuff....
  12. Look, its all very simple. Unions get better pay for working people. Bosses will screw you for every penny. Sometimes union bosses are greedy and get paid too much. if you work in the private sector, the cost of the average public sector pension is not going to impoverish you...that is already taken care of by the banks and government.
  13. So was walcott £2k or did we steal him? surely its one or the other.
  14. that is EXACTLY what I shouted at him after he got that lucky late winner against bristol rovers last season.
  15. Well I don't know the ins and outs, but I really don't see mr Cortese as the type to spend a lot of time chasing lost causes. I would imagine they are very confident re the permit.
  16. well we are certainly leading the chase for his signature. we seem to have overcome some hurdles, and can hope that if he does get paraded as a new player, he wont be a handicap.
  17. If all we had to worry about economically was a possible 1% of growth for the next 2 years, I would be amazed. the dangers are very great indeed. maybe the opportunities to rebuild "real" economies are great also.
  18. there was always a danger that the first penalty at SMS would come back to haunt us. So much made of it in the media, that it just had to.
  19. what is wrong in the camp? do you have info? or is it just your opinion?
  20. all rubbish about wages. If good spuds players could double their wages at anfield they would be off like a shot.
  21. Course it is.Forgotten bristol who already . Top of the league on New years Eve !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am off to celebrate, because in over 40 years watching Saints that has NEVER happened. Happy New Year to all Saints.
  22. the team we need to keep an eye on is Saints. Enough points, we go up . Below 2 points a game now, but i feel sure we can fix that at the credit card arena and at forest.
  23. many good points. However, as far as MOTD is concerned, I think Lee Dixon is excellent, and very good at explaining what defences should and shouldn't do.
  24. For some, that is a fair comment. There are plenty of people though, who can't afford sky, or pay for their license expecting some coverage of the country's most popular sport. If you are one of those and follow a non Pl club, its not a lot to ask to have a show on (at midnight), really. I wonder how many midnight shows get 2 million viewers ?
  25. i imagine that the show is off the air because they just cannot find room in the schedules on their 4 major channels, and with the absoloute deluge of popular , high quality programming they have treated us all to, over the xmas hols.
