Our Future? Stadium Expansion Proposal on Season Ticket DVD
teamsaint replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
bit late on this thread.....so there are people who think Saints are a bigger club than Villa or Everton ? Blimey. Funny. -
In the terrace days, it was usually about the same price to stand at the ends as it was to go to the cinema. So to be comparable, a cheapest ticket should be perhaps £15 in the PL (£10 cinema plus 50% premium to sit, since we have no choice.) Anyway you slice it, £30 +, week after week, to watch 90 mins of footy is steep.
-
well done Town. It was though, a surprisingly small crowd. Would have expected sheff Utd to take 40k, and town maybe 30K.
-
How many, Uhmm, 'Returning Fans' have you come across?

I actually would ban anyone who hasn't been since the last time we played in the PL, unless they provide really excellent written proof of good reasons. Useless sods. -
I completely agree. Just better all round. Certainly worth another try.
-
apart from players, this was one of the worst nights, certainly at home. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/7248322.stm Just remember the last 20 mins watching Wright lumping useless ball after useless ball at their defence, and thinking, "we are never going to score here". and we were playing Plymouth. Still, luckily, as Luggy pointed out , we were too good to go down..............
-
In the PL I never had a ST and I NEVER missed a home game I wanted to buy for. Bit nip and tuck sometimes, but always got one, through normal channels. Hope there is a membership scheme or similar though.

quick question about our administration. If , as has been said, we owe aviva £7m on promotion as a payment on the stadium debt, would can that be set against tax ?
-
The powers that be not only are prepared to bump you off, they go out of their way to discredit you too.It is a vital too for them. Stephen Milligan.

Summer 2012 HCDAJFU Thread - Premier League Special Edition
teamsaint replied to Jimmy_D's topic in The Saints
Jason Roberts showed what we will need.......and he is a journeyman at Pl level. You are right we need to add pace and strength right through the side........we will especially need this away from home. -
and while you are at it, the one about Leon causing us to go into admin would be good too !!
-
I wouldn't hold your breath...they hiked them this year..............
-
I have never heard this line about Crouch, although the money he apparently put in for wages would be consistent. Is there any other evidence?
-
12186. Any guesses what this number represents? The correct answer, of course, is all the paying phew, plus brum fans at their recent fixture. An important one. In the championship. Standing on the pitch singing the westminster chimes won't pay any bills !! World class.

Blimey. 3 days after a midweek trip to posh, 3000 people spend around 12 hours travelling and spending another small fortune to watch us play a game (also live on telly), after having forked out for Cov and all the other games. FWIW I thought that was a great turn out, and fair play to all those who went. And if you went and wore a clown outfit, broke down in tears, spent the game with your head in your hands, tied a satin scarf round your wrist, or sat down and didn't sing , then that is your choice. However you enjoyed the game you deserve better treatment than that dished out by some of our own fans on here. You also deserve better treatment than some that he club gives you on occasions. And who, really, gives a stuff what other clubs (presumably perfect) fans think ?
-
each to their own. There was a time when nobody attended games in replica shirts !!
-
So........assuming whu win on Monday, next Saturday SMS is going to be something else. At home, a win needed to clinch promotion after 7 years.........in our first season back in this league. Forget today's disappointment.........if you can't look forward to this you probably need a new way to spend your leisure time. Football is usually won and lost on narrow margins.....things often got to the last day. This is NOT , really is NOT a team of bottlers. Posh was a big game. palace was a big game, Both West Ham games were big games, Brighton last season was, as was Brentford, as was MK Dons, as was the JPT final. They will do us proud, I feel sure.
-
well I make it four days since we played well and won........
-
At most moments, even over the last month, almost all of us would have taken the position we are in tonight like a shot. Disappointing not to clinch it tonight, but the team have shown so much good stuff this season, they have every chance of doing it. You have to think back all of four days to out last good win............
-
how did the "focus issues" manifest themselves at palace, exactly?
-
sorry, must have dropped off and missed the last 3 games of the season? shame , because when I dozed off we were second, three points clear of 3rd, and with a decent chance of getting promotion.
-
Heads up..........we played some great football last night, and at palace. promotion is seldom easy or straightforward, and we are in a great position, and playing well. And poopey could be relegated today !!
-
as tax payers, we are also fortunate in having to pay out for the blokes with machine guns who were hanging around waterloo on saturday.
-
could you? well I couldn't. Just looked like lots of Saints fans making a decent noise to me. songs were reasonably varied, as it goes these days. some people just don't have the time/money /inclination to make lots of away games. Every time we have big away following (or even a large home gate) there are comments on here about JCLs, etc. On top of that, whilst queuing for tickets for the Donny game, the people around me were subjected to a good bit of verbal from other Saints fans about only being there for the pompey tickets. Just because some people are , or have to be,selective, doesn't make them worse fans. It really doesn't. and you know what, I just think we should let people enjoy following the Saints whatever way the feel fit, and if that involves going to millwall and taking their thermos flask,(something I did see !) then good on them.

Dunno, Mrs TS noticed this , no idea what it is about. HT entertainment was just Brilliant, also.
