So many have done really well, but for me it's McGoldrick. If only because he's running and chasing down all game now, which I never saw him do playing for the U18s where he would just laze around all match, let Lallana do all the work, and then pop up to score a goal or two. I'm amazed at the change.

and whilst a disadvantage in some situations - Gillet's lack of height must make him almost impossible to tackle or play against to the average Championship 6' 2" athlete.

And he's happy both to cross early, or take it to the line before putting great balls in.

I reckon Chapel End Charlie summed it up nicely earlier - basically we haven't clawed back enough in sales over the past few months to keep the bank happy. Sad to see him go if it happens as I thought he would have been the ideal captain. At the back of my mind I can't help thinking that perhaps the relatively low price reflects that he may be damaged goods, and Stoke are paying this expecting only 20 games a season out of him.
