  1. I've been asked by FourFourTwo for my thoughts on next season and I said midtable would do me. A year on year improvement would be no bad thing as far as I'm concerned.
  2. I'm not saying he'll sign, but it's more than possible for the deal to go through and him not be in the country. Let's also remember that signing and an announcement are two different things. The paperwork could go through today but he might not be unveiled for another week. Neil Lennon has openly said Celtic have accepted a bid and evidently he's still got him for pre-season training. Therefore you could reason that whilst all the formalities are being completed he's happy to have him train with the team. There's no reason to doubt it, but not enough to actually support the idea he could sign soon, I suppose...
  3. I'd only be fussed if it made it into print. Online doesn't mean an awful lot.
  4. I think we do agree on something then!
  5. Well no, because you could be looking at, I don't know, the #saintsfc hashtag.
  6. Not saying anything to dispute that at all. Part of the reason I'm employed is because Twitter is such a powerful force in modern technology and communication. I would say however that the ratio of good to bad is stacked towards the latter, unfortunately.
  7. "@TalkSAINTS: Just had my dinner, mum says I have to get off the computer now."
  8. We know one thing absolutely for certain. There are some very sad people on Twitter.
  9. Am I right in thinking this will be the third kit not to feature our 'standard' red and white stripes, under the Cortese premiership? We had the sash, the pinstripes and now this gold monstrosity. They're doing a good job of indicating they don't like us in stripes - whether or not that is actually the case remains to be seen.

  11. As I've said on a few occasions, no doubt boring people to death by it, Wimbledon are like a second club to me and I've been keeping an eye on them over the past few years. They did want him to sign permanently, though I don't know for sure if they made an offer. I suspect they did, but it would have been less than what the blue few were offering. Wimbledon have a very small budget.
  12. He doesn't simply 'think' things Saint Charlie! He was led to believe, it was his understanding that, he was told that...
  13. Who do Brighton fans want to replace him? Roberto Di Matteo. I think the delusions of that lot just down the coast is infectious...
  14. I remember a Brighton fan once saying that Poyet would 'only leave for a special club, like Real Madrid.' Hilarious. The best offer he's had is Reading, and they were already down effectively. Good riddance.
  15. He's a freelancer, also does stuff for the Daily Fail. No real reason to doubt his credibility - though you can point to examples of where he's been wrong, but show me a journalist you can't prove wrong - but his terminology is a little clichéd it must be said. Or so I have heard/am led to believe.
  16. I've just read Tony Iommi's autobiography, he's best mates with Brian May. Brian asked him to do the national anthem at the top of Buckingham Palace with him for the Queen's jubilee concert in 2002.
  17. I hear he might even shade Gary Hooper.
  18. I have a great deal of respect for Nainggolan, Turkish and Glasgow Saint.
  19. Have listened to bits of the album, think it's alright, nothing special. Seen a few clips on YouTube of their gigs so far, Ozzy's voice is absolutely f*cked by the end when they usually do Children of the Grave.
  20. I saw him play once for Chelsea's U18 side against us. I don't remember him much. Naturally this means I am a fountain of knowledge by SaintsWeb standards and must recommend we sign him immediately, he's one for the future, hungry, has a Champions League pedigree and CDAJFU.
  21. It's amazing how many people know that Dejan Lovren is a great player despite having not seen him play. Wish I could be a psychic like that. Didn't know we had so many people that saw most of Celtic's games last season either.
  22. Alex Crook is 'told' a lot, isn't he? He was 'led to believe' that we had Chelsea on the opening day too.
  23. You're missing a trick. Foam hands, customised for the Fleming Park Five a Side massive.
