Danny Wilson, who is so good, he's signed for Hearts, who are set for the Scottish First Division without a penny to their name.

It really won't though, let's face it. -
PRE-SEASON: Palamós CF vs Southampton

Wow. What a thread we have here. -
Ryan Dickson is on trial with Colchester. I remember a Brentford supporting friend of mine telling me he was definitely good enough for the Prem. Hmm.

Keep Pressing Forward - Article on Saints

Very much so. Yep, the West Brom game is another I've highlighted as 'oh f*ck don't let that happen again.' -
You'd have to get a passport first, they're pretty hard to come by.

Keep Pressing Forward - Article on Saints
Crazy Diamond replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
"You squeeze your opponent and only technically superior teams will be able to evade a well organised press. "Or teams that play long ball. "Which may present some issues for Southampton given the necessity to play a high line; the abundance of space in behind them for quick forwards to exploit." I've been saying this for a while now. We were horribly exposed at times last season, the QPR game is still firmly in my memory. -
So assuming he stays injury free and scores all the time, Sunderland will be okay? Just a slight gamble.

I agree with you on the whole 'let's chop and change everything' part - it does a lot more harm than good. However, O'Neill's team on paper was, to me, pretty poor. Bardsley, Vaughan, Gardner, Ji Dong-won, James McClean... They're not that great. For all the hype around Sessegnon he's seemingly not coveted by other clubs, Connor Wickham has shown no sign of realising the potential many believed he had whilst at Ipswich and Lee Cattermole spends more time suspended or injured than he does playing. They're rapidly headed backwards in my opinion, and given that before they only just survived that should be alarming. Getting rid of Graham - okay he didn't have the best time there - and replacing him with Altidore? Wow. Mignolet out, Mannone in? I'd be terrified if that happened to us.
-
Norwich who have otherwise had a decent transfer window, it has to be said.
-
And just as many saying 'well if Fulham wanted him, they would have got him. Something gives.'
-
Could be wrong but sounds like a case of 'XYZ wants to go to England' and they then link him with any old club that might like him or are active in the transfer window.
-
Wonder if Reading fans still think that Jay Rodriguez wasn't worth the money by comparison...
-
I dare say that our own Billy Sharp would have scored a bagful of goals in the SPL, but it seems we don't need to even play him in the Premier League to know he's not up to it. We are signing better players than Gary Hooper, though I do agree with Window Cleaner - sincerely hope we've not been conned with Wanyama.
-
Well they've not done the usual 'Sky Sources understand...' nonsense. It's funny how those sources always reveal to Sky journalists a few minutes after something has been confirmed elsewhere.
-
Has he heard that? Is he led to believe that? Has his sources told him that?
-
So.... One in, one out worked out...

SaintsWeb poster in bullsh*tting scandal! Round them all up, these WUMs, we want 100% honesty on here. BTW Wanyama to sign in the next two seconds, lol jk nt rli, asl? -
Van Wolfswinkel is a phenomenal signing for them. I think SRL has proved that he is twice the player Holt is, by the way. There were a lot of lazy comparisons, people saying that he was 'our Grant Holt.' Not a bit of it. Holt's move downwards proves it for me.
-
Indeed, but Sky Italia are very good and I imagine they would have got it from them.
-
He's probably read it on here. As for Luke Shaw fans, what a terrible waste of time and energy. I'm a fan of Luke Shaw, but I'm not going to start a bloody Twitter account about it.
-
Ha! I'm sure he's delighted his abbreviated name is now an adjective.
-
Interesting thought. That's probably what it costs a promoted team to stay up. What if that £40m was invested in 40 crap players at £1m each?
-
Great. I was talking about me. Not anyone else.

I didn't say he was. I said whilst it was being sorted out he could train for them. Say the deal falls through and he's not trained with the others, it just puts them on the backfoot. I've seen players play pre-season friendlies before driving off to sign for another club not long after full time. You also don't know that Lovren was announced the second the deal was done - or any other transfer for that matter.
