  1. I find myself wondering why these groups are so anti-Russia when it comes to the Winter Olympics, but what about the World Championships that are taking place right now in the capital? I've heard absolutely nothing so far against it, what's the difference?
  2. Love how he is described as a '6ft 5in custodian' - yes, but that didn't prevent him from being chipped in non-league football.
  3. Bompey fans chant "We forgot that you were here" to Skates fans. #standard
  4. Southampton FC @SouthamptonFC Adam Lallana playing some lovely one-touch football right now Southampton FC @SouthamptonFC Alaeddine Yahia has rejoined the Saints on a five year deal.
  5. Alex Goring Crook @alex_crook I've not heard anything, am not led to believe anything and don't understand anything.
  6. Oh dear.
  7. Inaccurate, that fish is at the top.
  8. Oh and did anyone else laugh when they were described as 'the big fish' in the division, last night on the Football League Show?
  9. Portsmouth 1 - 4 Oxford. But what did the critics think? A quick glance at an Oxford United forum... "The media won't be liking this one bit. They'd love a Pompey win" "Glad to shut them smug idiots who were on South Today on Thursday!" "Hark, what is that sound I hear? It sounds awfully like a bubble bursting in the Portsmouth area." "5 mins added time. Enough time for the Pompey fans to feck off home." "Jerome Sale is loving this result on South Today." "They needed Father Christmas to help them again today." "I like how the best fans in the League streamed for the exits when their team were losing at home. Loyal, I don't think." "Great day and with 15 mins left they were streaming out of the ground!" "I lived in Pompey and now live near York. I had updates on Twitter, this forum and a good friend who is a Pompey fan who sent me Photos of the magnificent Yellow Army, also had recordings sent of the Yellow army in full vocal support. I left Portsmouth because I hate the place, this result is a two fingered salute to the sh*thole. Well done to the team, the fans I am now walking round Malton ****ed as a mattress."
  10. Sullivan was decent for Wimbledon, did his bit to keep the club in the Football League. Judging by the Skates' start to the season, they might need that experience
  11. pn_neil_allen 5:17pm via Tweetbot for iOS So #Pompey fans, thoughts please on today’s League Two opener against Oxford. Will put many of your comments into Monday’s News. Oh this is too tempting...
  12. No, no, they are the strongest team in the Football League. You have to be when you're propping up the other 91.
  13. 125 years of the Football League, Portsmouth 92nd in the league, losing 4 - 1. It's a numbers game.
  14. Fair play to them, they're just getting the practice in.
  15. Get your Ballon D'or nominations in nice and early: Alfie Potter, two goals and an assist against the might of Portsmouth.
  16. Would love to know what their next attendance will be. Defeat at the hands of the mighty Oxford, the euphoria of the opening day gone, the reality of League Two football... Anyone want to bet on it being a lot lower than today? Sorry what am I saying, they're a massive club! 250,000 turned out for the FA Cup parade! Every game will be a sellout...!
  17. Skates down to ten men, lulz!
  18. Alfie Potter, who played for Havant & Waterlooville in that famous FA Cup game at Anfield.
  19. That's more like it. A few more please Oxford!
  20. So you're saying MLG was... Wrong? Careful now Tokyo. Dangerous territory. I suspect he was making up the numbers.
  21. Quite how he's lasted this long I'm not sure, but I'm guessing it's due to wages. That said, how could Oldham have afforded them? We don't seem to like letting players go out on loan without their wages being paid, i.e. Dickson and his little rant some while ago.
  22. Steve de Ridder's agent Mr. You Tube has his work cut out now.
  23. He's a very talented player and as Crab Lungs has said, in the Football League he was very good. In time, when he has more than a single season in the top flight behind him, I believe he will be a very good player at this level as well. He does frustrate me with his need to take one touch too many, but that is perhaps something that again, experience will solve.
  24. I've just heard that Dave Merrington is considering his position at BBC Radio Solent very carefully.
