How will this effect our mission to retain the Champions League that year?

20 reasons to laugh at Portsmouth Football Club 1) Smashing up their own town after winning 1 - 0 against the rivals they supposedly don't care about 2) Having a ground with plumbing that is held together by fat 3) Their most famous fan is a man with serious mental health issues - John 'Portsmouth' Westwood 4) Going into administration three times and not learning from each occasion 5) Not believing for one minute that spending as they did was unsustainable 6) Booing the manager that won them the F.A Cup because he joined a much better team than them 7) Failing to sign a lower league Slovakian (or Slovenian, who cares) goalkeeper that they knew wasn't very good Having such a lousy Academy/youth system that their best players are instructed to join ours - James Ward-Prowse 9) Being happy to sign players that we once had despite previously wishing death upon them - Crouch, Connolly, Howard, etc. 10) Drawing up plans for a stadium they knew they would never be able to build 11) Wishing their own nation ill-will because a Southampton player is actually scoring goals for them 12) Taking Redknapp back with open arms after declaring hatred for him for joining us 13) Consecutive relegations 14) Drawing with Accrington Stanley 15) Losing 4 - 1 to Oxford United after declaring that this was their time to shine 16) Believing their own hype when it comes to their fellow fans - who by the way, are not turning up in the numbers they expect 17) Starting a witch-hunt against one of their own fans after he dared to question what the Trust was doing 18) Being unable to adequately staff their ground in a League Two fixture 19) Employing Avram Grant who enjoys watersports 20) Being from and playing in Portsmouth, the armpit of the universe.

Old Saints Picture - manager gives team-talk in 1949

Ear lobes? -
Yes but look at what David McGoldrick and Jamie White have done since. You shouldn't write them off.

Think wires must have been crossed here, I meant that what the fishy few were saying was pathetic.

In the interest of balance, here's Scott Hiley nutmegging Ronaldo playing for then-Conference side Exeter City. [video=youtube;-B7xsL_9cD4]

It's not even worth responding to, it's just pathetic. If that's not bitterness I don't know what is.

To be fair, kudos on the moose bit. Classic Python.

If Portsmouth Football Club is a horse then it's pulled up in a race after some massive bloody hurdles and been shot repeatedly. Somehow it's still alive but only just. Someone needs to do the right thing and finish it off.

I like the mention of someone being treated for blisters on their hands. Furiously flipping off fish?
-
He was sh*t. Don't tell Lighthouse though. Using the De Ridder principle, he's actually very good because of what else he's done in his career.

Correction, he was good in a HIGHLIGHTS PACKAGE someone put together of his time in Holland. -

Yes but the thought occurs that he wouldn't be making these type of comments had it all gone well for him. It's also a very good PR story for his new club for him to announce that he much prefers things in Holland and is so very grateful to have signed for them. -

Try being less sh*t. Then you might have less to moan about. -
It would certainly be disappointing - it's disappointing to concede goals full stop, as Dave Merrington will tell you, repeatedly - but I wouldn't go that far.

One win does not make a season. A record signing does not make a team. Anyone with any sense would agree with that, surely?

Rickie Lambert called up for England
Crazy Diamond replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in Golden Posts
Was there last night, as were a lot of Saints fans which was great to see, and what a spectacle. So pleased for him. -
Emma ought to ask Neil what that's all about, though the answer is quite straightforward: He's brought his paper into disrepute with his shoddy writing and so the Club have responded by cutting the problem out at its source. No paper, no Neil, no problem!

Can't quite be sure if its delusion anymore, or just arguing for the sake of arguing, not wanting to admit they're wrong. Either way, what a bunch of bellends.

So the World Championships have different values to the Olympics? Olympians can't be exposed to an anti-gay culture, but a World Championship competitor can? Surely such values should transcend sport, no matter what competition? Is it not okay for Zidane to headbutt a player in a World Cup final, but perfectly acceptable in League Two? Of course not. Very bizarre. I work for England's Commonwealth Games team. Best check if Stephen, who tweeted his support for us last month, is planning on overlooking any anti-gay sentiment in Glasgow next year.
