A little mor of this and we'll completely put them to the sword.

Hppy birthday to Rickie, looking less out of place on the Saints Web banner with each passing week.
-
Could get something going with Reading seeing as their rivals aren't much cop and the fan catchment areas overlap on the Hampshire/Berkshire border. Or with Bournemouth having a cash injection.........

He ended up having a decent career, never really prolific for a striker but he helped a couple of teams to promotion into the Premier League.
-
Good point, possibly should have done better but I'd have taken the draw early on.
-
Saints haven't really clicked tonight, Wet Sham doing well with 10 men.
-
Woot for victory.
-
Not a great half for us, not too happy with the play acting to be honest, we're better than that. Need to ramp it up a bit in the second half and we could get something out of it. Next goal is vital.

I'm not sure we'll win tonight. Think home advantage will help West Ham beat us. Still doesn't count us out at the top though, there'll be easier games coming up.
-
It was a strange game really, we dominated in midfield but had nothing to show for it. Birmingham City were second best throughout the match but had by far the better chances. Saints just didn't seem to want to shoot which is crazy given the conditions.
-
I think a draw was a fair result. We controlled a lot of the play but lacked enterprise. Not a bad result though especially given the conditions made it a lottery. Home support was dreadful (both numbers and vocal), absolutely puts into perspective any issues with our own home support.

Selly Oak.... I also stayed in Selly for the night, studentsville.

It was certainly one of the best displays from our lot this season. Glad I was one of the maniacs who went. Home support was awful.
-
He was brilliant yesterday, dominant in the air and with good positional sense.
-
There were too many middle aged women, kids and old people yesterday. All sitting down and staying silent and spoiling it for those of us who do actually want to support the team.

Going up on the friday, so shouldn't be 'bubbled'.

There's loads of places to drink in Birmingham city centre, there's also some Irish pubs between the centre and the ground in Digbeth. Brindley Place and the Mailbox have some posher places to drink, Broad Street has a whole array of places to drink (mostly chain pubs) and isn't classy but is ok for a sustained drink. Broad Street is the other side of the centre to the stadium and is between Birmingham New Street and Five Ways station. Also some drinking around the Arcadian (recommended over Broad Street fro a night out)which is next to Chinatown and has some bars and places to eat. The Custard Factory (an alternativey little development) which is fairly near the ground has a bar as well.

Got two tickets today.

Cue rumour we're signing Charlie Adam...
-
We need to see if he can stay fit for a few months first. He does offer something different to the other wide players and has a decent shot on him.

Hooiveld's block, the sending off and Coterill having a hissy fit

It was a pretty stupid foul to give away. Chambers is easily the taller player and should have got to the ball anyway, instead he leads with his elbow and lands it straight on Connolly's face. Hard to argue with it really. -
Possibly Jhon Viafara. Tainted by a poor time with the Skates, turned out to be a decent player for us.

Just shows the merits of having a pop at distance from time to time.
