  1. hahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahaha i wouldn't let him take my temperature
  2. Yeah that's an interesting point, every now and again someone comes to play a friendly in London but your right people were going nuts in Zambia a couple of weeks ago as a Norway B side came over to play them in Zambia. But how does that explain teams like Chile or Uruguay, they don't really travel to play outside S.A but especially in Chile's case they really work a system 4-3-3 to their advantage. I want to agree about Drogba but i keep remembering 1 night in Barcelona when he was awesome tracking back to the half way line, defensive headers etc he was a perfect team man. In normal circumstances he was a ****.
  3. Plus I wanted to buy some tickets and after 1 visit to the website i put it in the too hard basket. Would like to go to the final though.
  4. I used to like it when they brought in a rule banning teams having their witch doctors cast spells before the games. That was when it was proper decent and the Rashidi Yekini was the man RIP
  5. On a slightly more random theme i was watching the Ivory Coast the over day and their team was choc a bloc full of quality player yet they still made hard work of the game. Whats the difference is it coaches etc or is it the dutch mentality of the individual is more important than the team ? I don't understand how an african team hasn't won a world cup yet. Thoughts ?
  6. The thing I don't understand is this game is being played in Nelspruit which is just below the Kruger park which has been swamped with **** loads of rain. Have they dumped a load of sand on it to make it more like an astroturf pitch and absorb this water as it looks dry as feck. Most of these games have been empty, no one turned up for the 1st game SA v Cape Verde as ticket prices aren't for locals.
  7. Yeah africans seem to be under the assumption that making a noise is the same as creating an atmosphere. Zambia keeper is 2-0 on pens now, Torres would of been proud of that pen.
  8. Know how you feel, I got out of my pool to come inside and watch this build up.
  9. Sorry not sure as am in south africa, begins in 6mins
  10. hahaha i won't mention anymore for fear of it kicking off again. Victor Moses on for Nigeria in this game and i think Obi Mikel as well, waiting for the final team news. Emmanuel being used as the lone front man.
  11. My bad can I use the same excuse as Matthew Le God and say i was distracted and put too many a's in. Nigeria have a decent team in this, they could smash Zambia if they click. 2-1 to Nigeria
  12. Thought it would happen after the last performance but Emmanuel is in the starting line up for today, should be a good game some big names in the nigeria team and they've been offerred 100k USD as a team to just win this match !! Will report in later
  13. FairPlay Glasgow this is a classy move, your right he worked ****ing hard, won things and got his marching papers when the illuminati fancied someone else.
  14. Watched the game as well and Zambia were utter ****, Ethiopia missed a pen and played decent football, Zambia seemed to think they could just turn up and win. Reckon Emmanuel will start next game as Colin's Mpsumpa only started based on his performance v Norway last week which was excellent but he was utter **** today. Emmanuel is too fast and already plays in the 1-4-2-1-3 for formation. Would also say Ethiopia had their goalie sent off in 39th min for a Willie Schumacher Kung fu kick, it brought back good memories :-)
  15. He never had an ego as a player so doubt he has one now. He's again a fan so gets passionate, the worst thing we want incharge of us is a fan, we want a person who can control their inner monkey (chimp paradox) that ain't gonna be a saints fan
  16. Hahahhaa fair play but I reckon fergie would give his left bollock for a Roy Keane now in his ****ty midfield. Am gonna watch the game tonight in a small mining town in the kalahari is this a record ?
  17. It's not often I can reference Zambia but they feel the same way about us as we do about cortese. Go on their forums they slag off this forum for not understanding mayuaka, him being better than our team, our fans being ****s etc, the reason they do this is they grow up aligning themselves to Emmanuel's success and negative comments make them react cos they are passionate. Cortese never grew up being passionate about saints, he sold his friend a dream, his friend bought it and he's doing his upmost to deliver it, he's dispassionate and runs the club that way. Last time we had a fan in charge we had Wilde and Crouch, maybe fans should realize we should just support and let business run the club as we don't know best as we are morally corrupt cos we are fans ?
  18. Hate to say it but anyone who says we shouldn't sell Ricky at the end of year is missing the point. The highest value we will ever achieve for a +30yr old player will be this season. He will be worked out 2nd season and his game does not fit how we need to play and his value will decline. No player is bigger than Southampton and with Jay and Mayauka we have 2 pacey forwards we can rotate when one is off form and they can improve as they are young, something Ricky isn't. He will be a legend but all clubs get rid of legends just think Roy Keane for 1
  19. Yeah it's getting panned here, tickets too expensive for most locals and there is no vibe. Will watch Emmanuel tomorrow as I will support Zambia but not sure who will win, maybe it's IC's turn finally. Also it's ****ing it down here and forecast for more rain tomorrow, English weather.
  20. Sorry I've lost track of all the links and I can't remember if I found this or it was a link launched from here, more on his espanyol days http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2011/jan/17/espanyol-la-liga-sid-lowe
  21. Another disciple of Biesla having played under him in argentina, it should be interesting to see how the tactics translate into the premier league, for those who want to read more on the actual tactics check here out http://www.worldsoccer.com/features/tactics-the-genius-of-el-loco. "Bielsa wants the ball to be won high up the pitch and so advocates intense pressing; speaking, as Arrigo Sacchi did, of there being an ideal 25 metres between centre-forward and centre-back. He recognises the importance of the rapid movement of the ball from front to back to catch opponents off balance, but he also sees the value in retaining possession, which is what differentiates him from, say, Egil Olsen, a coach who always prioritises position on the field over possession."
  22. Unfortunately it's about Forren although I whish it was Foggen as I had a song already made for Newcastle. "Foggen the Tyne is all mine all mine, Foggen on the Tyne is all" repeat I'll get my coat
  23. Do a bush and beach break in Tazania, fly into Dar el Salam then do a safari for a few days then hit up either Zanzibar or Pemba (my fav) for awesome sea and beachfront.
  24. Inspired by the thread title this made me **** myself yesterday, not literally of course, this student gets enough respect. "A German student "mooned" a group of Hell's Angels and hurled a puppy at them before escaping on a stolen bulldozer" http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/10333211
  25. Mali and Somalia per chance
