  1. Why should he? He's been sacked, and harshly. He deserves every last penny. I bet that his payoff is a tiny fraction of the extra money SFC will make as a result of him leading us back to the premier league.
  2. Lawrie Mac's achievements, amazing though they are, do not make him immune to criticism. Fact is, he comes across as a xenophobe and a dinosaur. He's welcome to his opinions, I just wish he'd keep them to himself sometimes.
  3. Appalling decision. After all Nigel's achieved, this is how he's treated. I'm embarrassed to call myself a Saints fan today.
  4. I can't see saggy face and NC working together. At all.
  5. If the defence doesn't get sorted, then we can look forward to the championship again. However, staying up certainly isn't impossible. But we need to cut out the moments of madness, and soon. Once you're a few points adrift, it becomes more and more difficult.

Well, I didn't see the original post so the joke was lost on me!

Well, that isn't too obvious now as he's amended it. But, I am a muppet. I'd have to be with a name like Gonzo

Ummmmm, no it isn't. Check the Saints website, BBC Sport, Sky Sports or even Wikipedia if you don't believe me. Unless you're thinking of ex-Northampton manager Ian Atkins??
  10. Hopefully all the 'Adkins out' BS will stop now.
  11. I don't like sex on the TV. It hurts my back.
  12. I seem to remember Saints starting in Dave Jones first season with 5 losses or something close to that. We ended up finishing 12th (from memory). We shouldn't get too carried away, there's still 34 games to play.
  13. I think it's just a reminder how far we've come in a short space of time. Yes, we've had a bad start but it was only 3 and a bit years ago we were looking at no SFC altogether. I think it just puts a little perspective on things.
  14. We've played 4, lost 4. To be honest, it's not a great surprise. We've had just about the toughest start possible. However, we gave Man City and almighty scare and were very unlucky to lose against Man Utd. The manner of the drubbing against Arsenal is certainly a cause for concern - the stats on BBC said we had only 30% possession in addition to the scoreline. But I certainly don't want to see Adkins sacked. He's done a sterling job just getting us to the Premier League and that shouldn't be forgotten.
  15. Anybody who drink drives is an idiot.
  16. I can't believe some of the comments I heard on the radio. This is the Guy who's got us promoted twice in two seasons and people are calling for hid head because we've lost our first two games. Never mind that our first game was away to the defending champions and we gave them an Almighty scare. Some people really need to get a grip.
  17. I was there in the p**sing rain, getting wet under the leakiest part of the St Mary's roof at the Chapel end when he scored that screamer against Norwich. Just wanted to say myself thanks for his part in our journey these last couple of years. He scored some vital goals. I hope he finds another club should he choose to continue playing, as he'd do well for many teams.
  18. Congratulations to the Hammers. In fairness, WHU were the most deserving of all the teams in the playoffs with how far ahead of the others they were. Unlike many, I actually like Big Sam. Good manager, gets results and says what he thinks. I respect the bloke.
  19. Hard to say. Rickie is incredibly skilled, I just hope his lack of pace doesn't count against him too badly. I reckon he should be good for 15 goals next season as long as he stays fit.
  20. I'm sure I read a quote from Nicola Cortese saying that it would be more cost effective to build a new stadium than expand the existing one. But yes, I'm sure if we stay in the PL that we will have a larger stadium one way or the other. I see no reason why we wouldn't sell out, seeing as we used to pretty much every league game when we were in the PL previously.
  21. Basically, that article was s**t. Poorly informed, and from his twitter hashtag thingy clearly has a dislike for Saints anyway. I laughed at the 'budding sports journalist' bit.
  22. My vote goes to Yeovil Town. Never look like getting relegated, but never look like getting out of the bottom half of League One. I kind of like them though, as they've always been a bit of an underdog ever since they got promoted from the Conference.
  23. I know I'm a bit late here, but the new Walkers Crinklies Salt & Vinegar flavour is just delicious.
  24. I actually agree with this. Remember the main reason he fell out with Milan Mandaric and left the skates? Somebody (Avram Grant possibly, can't remember exactly) being brought in over his head and against his wishes. And then Lowe did the same thing bringing in Clive Woodward. And at least Grant was a football person. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of Harry Redknapp after the way he left us, but I think had Lowe not brought in Woodward I don't think he'd have left the way he did.
