Personally, I'd like to see Wotte given a chance. The morale was shot to pieces and we were set for relegation anyway when he took over. So given free rein to choose his own team, and without dressing room morale down the toilet, he could do well. If Wotte wasn't to remain in charge however, looking at realistic targets, I'd like to see Aidy Boothroyd in charge.

I wish people would stop blaming Lowe for the timing of going into administration. He had NO CHOICE once Barclays bounced those payments. Under company law, plc's in particular are legally bound to call in administrators once they are trading insolvently. Technically, whilst the payments were being honoured by the bank, the company was solvent. I'm not a Lowe luvvie, but anybody with half a brain can work out the timing was purely down to Barclays Bastard Bank, and now Lowe if they take a few moments to consider what the law says.

If you ask me, starting a thread with the sole intention of attacking and insulting one poster is the most troll-like behaviour on here at the moment. I've reported the thread as I don't think there's any place for it. It says on the main forum to keep it on-topic and civil, and this thread is neither.

Rupert Lowe is not coming back. This would involve putting his own money in, and he won't do that. You can all sleep easy now.

There will not be any further exclusivity period, so it's simply whoever hands over a signed contract, and the cash, first.

According to the Echo article, they've had contact from Lynam, and have included an actual quote from him. So on that basis, I doubt it's idle press speculation. Anyway, I've got my fingers and toes crossed that one of the other groups completes, so Pinnacle being 'in the race' never becomes an issue.
