  1. Bit of a non-story really. He's happy here and doesn't want to leave, or so it says.
  2. I've sent an email. Thanks
  3. If anybody has a spare ticket then please PM me. I would pay and pick up ticket on the day of the game if that's ok. My only other hope is that there's still tickets available on Friday as I'm skint til then!
  4. The old Football Manager game was class. I dread to think how many hours I spent on that on my old Commodore 64. I always used to choose any team which I knew play in red and changed them to Southampton. It is shocking that Saints weren't on there bearing in mind when it was released we were challenging for the league title!
  5. Go to http://www.mobiles.co.uk. Some bloody good deals on there, and it's part of the carphone warehouse so a reputable company. Last year, I ordered one which came with a free Xbox 360 and I actually got the 360 in the same parcel as the phone, which is quite unusual for the firms that offer such things with mobile contracts.
  6. There is no I in team. But there is a 'me' if you look hard enough! EDIT: Somebody's already posted that! lol

    Nerves

Thanks, I've now got tea over my monitor and keyboard as I spat my drink out laughing!
  8. Good luck to him. Was given the Saints opportunity at completely the wrong time, so hope he gets the chance to prove himself with the Shots. Good luck Doddy!
  9. And there's this classic from Orkney: Or Cumbria: Or this little place in Ireland (the one on the left) is one of my favourite places!
  10. I predict a final position of 17th.
  11. Well, if the normal staff have been paid, that does make things a bit better. But still, reading between the lines of that statement, Al-Fahim needs to beg, steal and borrow on a regular basis to stop the club going down the crapper. Which again begs the question, if he couldn't afford the running costs then why did he buy them? He must be a sandwich short of a picnic.
  12. The Sun is reporting today that Pompey haven't paid their players wages. Apparently Al-Fahim has deferred salaries as he is struggling to raise funds for the club. He is apparently £2m short of meeting the wage bill. What the hell is going on down there? Why did he take the club over if he didn't even have enough cash to pay the bloody wages? If he had done due dilligence, which you would assume he had bearing in mind how long the purchase took to complete, he would have known he would need to reach into his own pocket to pay the wages. You have to feel for the players, and no doubt ordinary staff such as ticket office workers will be affected as well. We've seen this all before with what happened with Saints before the takeover. We can laugh at the sporting side of it and the zero points things, but when people's salary isn't paid and therefore their livelihood is at stake is when it stops being funny.
  13. The fact that the artist spent 8 months painting a portrait of that hideous skate nobber suggests the artist has a screw loose.
  14. No excuses, just disappointment.
  15. It depends on the level of equity you have. If your mortgage is 75% of the property or less, then you can get lower rates than that. If it's more than 75% then it's a bloody good deal. PM me if you like, I'm a mortgage adviser so can give you some extra guidance if you want it.
  16. Oh balls.
  17. The iphone has one big weakness - the fact the only web browser for it is the in-built safari browser. Safari is fine if you're in a 3G or HSDPA area. If you're not, it is very slow indeed. If Apple opened things up a bit and allowed the iphone to install Opera Mini (it's not like the iphone wouldn't be capable of it), then it would be an amazing handset to own. However, the 3G networks in the UK just aren't strong enough. Orange's network coverage is rubbish, as I have found signing up to a 24 month contract with them in May. I'm really hoping the merger with T-Mobile improves matters.
  18. Ok, here's one for you:- http://www.cherrypeel.com/kevsmith Listen to 'Hungover'. That's my version of 'You're Beautiful' by James Blunt. Lyrics, bad guitar playing and slightly iffy vocals all courtesy of me.

    Cocaine

I've never done any illegal drugs myself - I know a couple of people who got themselves completely screwed up on various drugs and it wasn't a pretty sight. It was enough to put me off doing any of it.
  20. That song is by Rodney Carrington. Put his name in the youtube search and you'll find some other very funny videos as well.
  21. I'm sure many of you here are familiar with xpert eleven. Join my league - search for league ID 119402. And for those who aren't familiar -http://www.xperteleven.com. It's an online football management game. Not in-depth like offline games such as the FM series. It doesn't need to take hours of your time. It's a good laugh, and best of all, free to play.
  22. Nice touches by the club as well, donating 30% of the fee from their advertising boards to Leukaemia Research, despite their own money worries. Well done to Stockport County and its supporters.
  23. Did anybody tell him that his club's ramshackle 20,000 seater stadium was 4,000 short of capacity yesterday? Shows how much of their recent support were just fairweather fans, when we are getting similar attendances two divisions below them.
