  1. You would think they would be better off throwing them at HMRC.
  2. I read in the Echo yersterday that in the 1984 match, Danny Wallace picked up one of the bananas that were launched at him and ate it!
  3. Just read the MK Dons bit for now - it was nicely written and I laughed out loud at some of it. Good stuff!
  4. I do. I look like sex on a stick!
  5. It's the only coat I've got! lol
  6. Hopefully I'll be able to get into one for a pre-match pint. I live in Winchester, but have a home supporters ticket and I'll be wearing a big Saints coat. Hopefully should be enough to show I'm not a skate!
  7. Got my hands on a ticket today, and I'm so bloody excited! This'll be the first derby I've been to. Also, I've heard that Utaka and Boateng are injured for the match, which is good news if true. We just need Thomas to give Dindane a hard kick when the officials backs are turned now! COYR!
  8. Fair comment about Rory Delap, mind. He was a waste of £4m! But yes, the article does rather reek of desperation especially when they're currently two divisions above us.
  9. The only prediction that I will make is that SMS will be rocking on Saturday! The head says that we're unlikely to win, but truthfully - Pompey may be a premier league side, but they are a very poor premier league side with rock-bottom morale. They are there for the taking. As others have said, we just need to attack them and we have a good chance. And try to ensure Dindane doesn't get too much of the ball, because he is a bloody good player.
  10. Bloody hell, 450 away fans for a semi-final. And it's not even like it's a million miles away from where they live. Terrible club, terrible support. Makes it all the more just that we're heading to Wembley and not them.
  11. Hope your daughter is ok and recovers quickly. I've sent you an email as I would happily buy the Pompey ticket if it is still available.
  12. Despite his alliegance to the skates, I do like Claridge. He knows his stuff and I read his column on the BBC website each week.
  13. Trust me, if I had the cash I would have bought my tickets already.
  14. Not many I think. When I phoned earlier to check availability there were only tickets left in the Chapel and the Chapel/Itchen corner, so that says to me it's approaching a sellout now.
  15. How I wish that were true! I'm skint because I've just had to pay out for some repairs on my car amongst other things, that's why I'm short of cash personally. Can't remember the last time I had a nice beer! lol My better half gets paid on Friday, hope there's still some tickets left then. But I doubt there will be.
  16. I've voted for Connolly.
  17. Set fire to his wig.
  18. Hard to say. I can't see anybody with their head screwed on wanting to buy a debt-ridden, loss making company with terrible facilities. But, there are some mad people out there. Personally, I want them to survive (as in as a club, not in the premier league) as I don't think football would be quite the same without our rivalry. Plus, we were there ourselves not too long ago and I wouldn't wish it on any set of supporters, even them.
  19. And I'm hoping there will still be tickets available on Friday. Haven't got the spare cash for tickets until then!!
  20. I did, but the guy had already sold it!
  21. Ok, so does anybody else have a spare ticket then?
  22. Maybe I'm being too relaxed after the past few years, but compared to what we've had in recent years this isn't poor form we're showing! I know we're not doing as well as we would like away from home, but I really think we need to get a little perspective on it all. I really believe that we will win promotion next season (I think it's a bit beyond us this season), and that Pardew will be the man to guide us back to the Championship. I wasn't at Exeter, but from what I've read regarding the match, the second half, the pitch etc etc, this is the kind of game that in previous seasons we'd have completely thrown away and came away from with a loss rather than holding on to the point. That in itself is positive progress in my view.
  23. I know, I'm finding all this talk a bit pathetic to be honest. A manager needs to be given time and the playoffs this season were always going to be an uphill struggle.
